I Am No King's

I Am No King's
Chapter 250 – Emir Offer

"Are you guys serious?"

Even though saying it together, I'm sure what's on my mind and Yurika is different. Wh why? Because our perspective is different. While I already knew that Empress Rahayu was a cunning figure, Yurika, until now, still did not accept it.

"Yes, we're serious."

The Emir gave a weak response to our question. His eyes look beautiful. Apparently, he did not expect a positive response from us at all. Nah! I'm revision. In my opinion, the Emir looked glum and moody because he knew his brother would never accept this idea. He must be sad that his own family does not support him at a time like this.

"Is Lugalgin crazy?"

"No. Lugalgin's not crazy." The emir responded flatly. "He himself was confused as to what to do. Whatever he does will have a devastating effect on him, and for us his future wife."

"Then this?"

"This was my idea."

"Eh?"

Yurika was aghast when she heard the Emir's words. Apparently, he still did not accept the fact that his sister had a different way of thinking with him.

Meanwhile, I tried to think about the Emir's idea carefully. I admit the offer he was given was very interesting. However, I was more curious as to what prompted the Emir to give this idea and why did Lugalgin agree to it?

Uh! I need information. I want to get out of here.

"Emir, this offer also applies to us, the Herizzeta family, right?"

"Yes, this offer also applies to the Herizzeta family. In fact, in the near future, we will go to the powerful nobles to make the same offer."

"You're crazy!" Yurika cut off my and Emir's talk. "Do you think there will be nobles who agree with this idea? Nah! They won't agree! I'm not even sure you agree!"

Yurika continued to speak in a high tone. On the other hand, the Emir did not respond. His sight is still sweet. I feel sorry for the Emir.

"Unfortunately, Yurika, there are nobles who have agreed to this idea."

"Jeanne, there's no way...."

I walked to the end and shouted. "Oh my brother and sister from the Herizzeta family, you've heard of the Emir's idea, right? Do any of you disagree?"

"NO!"

"A–"

"Sister Aaron, if you refuse, we'll make sure you'll be separated from us. And, don't expect help in any form in the future."

"...."

No other response. That means everyone agrees.

Although this room was separated by bulletproof glass, other than the small door below to feed, there were still some small holes for air circulation and speaking. So, by shouting, I can already talk to the others.

And, as I expected, no one from my family would turn down this offer. Yeah, there's no. This offer is beautiful. In fact, it's not wrong if I say this offer is too good to be true.

Yes, of course, this offer is just wonderful for people like us who think realistically. For a person who did not think realistically and still attached great importance to the pride and honor of the royal family and nobles, this offer was extremely unreasonable.

Although a little, I can see the tip of the lips of the rising Emir. I'm glad I could make her feelings easier.

"Basic traitor!"

And, unfortunately, the tip of the Emir's lips came back down when he heard Yurika's words. Emir is not my family, but seeing him like this makes me sad.

I clutched Yurika's pajama collar and threw her on the bed. I'm still kind enough not to throw him against the wall.

"Huh? Disappointed? I should have been disappointed! You have betrayed the kingdom–"

"If I betray the kingdom, what do you call your mother who betrayed King Fahren and even performed with all those wounds, huh?"

"No! I still can't believe you did all that!"

This woman is really stubborn. In the past, I always thought of Yurika as a smart and intelligent person. And, more importantly, knowing the dark side of the royal system and the Bana'an nobility. However, it seems I was wrong. All he understood was the politics of the royal family and the formal bureaucracy. He had absolutely no understanding of how the Bana'an and the black market actually worked.

"Jeanne," Emir interrupted. "Sister doesn't know anything. Please understand."

"No, Emir!" I snapped at the Emir. "I won't take it. Yurika is older than us, but she still doesn't understand how this kingdom goes. Honestly, at first, I wanted to tell you about the dark side of the kingdom after your sister was able to accept the fact that your mother was in the act and participated in the attack. Unfortunately, that time did not come either. And if things were that simple, he wouldn't believe it, let alone all the dark side of Bana'an? I..disappointed."

"You–"

I interrupted, "Yurika! From now on, you kept getting angry and berating me and the Emir. But, are you looking to the Emir well? Did you see the look on the face shown by the Emir."

"Jeanne–"

"Shut up, Emir!" I interjected and went back to lecturing Yurika. "Do I have to say it again? You think the Emir did all this with pleasure? No? He did this by force because his life and his future family were threatened. Look at the look on his face! Look how there's no light in his eyes! Look at the wrinkle on his face! Do you think it's the face of the man who did all this happily?"

I walked to the bed, came to Yurika. I pulled Yurika's pajama collar and brought her face closer to mine.

"This is not the first time the Emir has shown such facial features. What blinds you so you can no longer see your sister's apparent sadness?"

Yurika opened her mouth, but not a single word was heard. He looked at the Emir for a moment, then threw out a face. Apparently, he had just realized the look of a sad face put on by the Emir.

"Honest. I was hoping you'd change a little because you saw the Emir's face like that every time he came along and the fact that your mother was just playing a show. Are you this stupid, Yurika?"

I took off Yurika's pajama collar and sat on the bed.

"Emir, you go first. I'll try to say Bana'an ulcer to everyone in this place, especially its relation to the black market."

"But–"

"Emir," I kept interrupting. "Dad knew the ulcers and dark side of this kingdom, but he betrayed Lugalgin who tried to fix it, which led to the purge of the royal family and the treacherous agent schneider. My family and your family, even this brother of yours, were saved because you and Empress Rahayu chose not to betray Lugalgin. If your brother still chooses to choose Lugalgin, and dies, at least, he should know what he's fighting and what he's fighting for. This goes for others too!"
