~Written POV~
"So, Ukin, what do you think?"
"There is a probability that 90 percent of Lugalgin will lose, even die."
"I thought so."
"Eh?"
Me and Ukin had a casual conversation. I should have been standing guard with the rest of the Agade. Before the operation started, by accident, I noticed there were two spots in the sky. At first I thought it was a bird. However, after paying attention for quite a long time and no movement, I thought that those two spots were not birds, but people who were floating.
Seeing that my whereabouts had no influence, I asked Lugalgin for permission to leave, checking on the person watching. Lugalgin gave me permission and I came here. Just in case, I brought three five-meter-long sword centipedes with me.
When it was close, I was completely shocked by the figure watching. The figure was Ukin and a haired woman and blue eyes. I know that woman. He's Lugalgin's friend, Maila. They were both wearing military clothes.
Maila watched Lugalgin attack with a runyam face. There was not the slightest smile on his face. On the other hand, Ukin continued to show a smile
Ukin noticed my arrival, but he didn't attack. He just let me get close. In fact, when I came, he gave me a monocular binocular, taking me to watch while chatting. I followed and watched on his left while Maila was on Ukin's right. Our conversation began with Ukin's question.
"Mulisu, aren't you on Lugalgin's side, why do you even agree with Ukin?"
She just met me but already used you? Well, nevermind. I don't care either.
"But it's a fact, no matter who I am on my side."
"But, why? I mean, even, right now, he's slaughtering those Alholds easily, right?"
When I heard Maila's question, Ukin and I threw eyes at each other. Without saying anything, we agreed to give a response.
"Since Lugalgin is a guerrilla master, the master survives. He's not the master of attacking."
Me and Ukin answered simultaneously.
"But, it's-"
"Maila," Ukin interrupted. "As we said just now, Lugalgin is a guerrilla master. I told you that what makes him equal to us is his strategy, right?"
"However, right now," I added. "Lugalgin already has two shortcomings. First, he attacks, not defends."
"But, Ukin said, he used to participate in cleanup a lot, right?"
As if not to lose, Maila continued to refute my and Ukin's opinions. Right now, I was wondering who was on Ukin's side and who was on Lugalgin's side.
"That's another reason why Lugalgin's probability of losing is so great." I answered Maila's rebuttal. "Maila, once again I reiterate, what makes Lugalgin able to acknowledge Lacuna and be with us is his strategy. However, right now, he was not using any strategy at all. He knocked from the front door."
"If the old Lugalgin, '" Ukin continued. "He will never knock from the front door. He'll infiltrate, set traps and explosives everywhere. Lugalgin could have predicted that if the explosion occurred at point A, people would flee to point B. At point B, there are a lot of traps. I didn't realize it before. But now, I can say it's thanks to him that our cleaning job has become so easy."
Hoo, Ukin is now more mature. Totally different from what it used to be.
I add to Ukin's words. "Right now, Lugalgin carrying two arsenal chests was a real example of him not using strategy, just relying on weapons."
"Then, what about you guys? He had Agade members and royal intelligence on guard to help him, right?"
I can't blame him. In the past few weeks, his confidence had been completely toyed with. His father suddenly betrayed. Then Lugalgin's trust in Agade had been betrayed by the overconfident Ibla. Not yet over, Ibla also said that the Schneider agents that Lugalgin believed in were treasonous and preferred to report to His Majesty the King.
And then, seeing Maila standing with Ukin, I could guess that Maila was the one who had Illuvia disguised as Sarru. Not to mention that I tried so many times to manipulate Lugalgin from the shadows, making him change. And, I'm sure, Lugalgin knows all this. So, I can't blame her for wanting to clean up the Alhold family by herself.
The atmosphere was calm between us. Only our voices stopped making noise. The sound of the wind blowing loudly was still heard in the ears.
Through the binoculars, I saw Lugalgin being blown away by a giant ball. When one looks, Lugalgin seems to have predicted the arrival of the ball and made himself thrown. However, the former Lugalgin would not let the ball reach it. Yes, the present Lugalgin is completely different from the previous Lugalgin.
"So, Mulisu, are you happy? You changed Lugalgin, right? And thanks to you, today, there's a 90 percent chance that Lugalgin will die."
"This is not the change I want. I just want him not to be as cold as before. You know for yourself how cold she used to be?"
"Yes, right. If you look at the old man, you would never have expected Lugalgin to start a family, like now."
"And, apparently, Lugalgin realized that I was trying to change it from behind the scenes."
"of course. That's lugalgin." Ukin responded lightly. "By the way, has he been putting up any resistance when you tried to change him?"
I shook my head, "No. He didn't fight back when I tried to change him. In fact, he doesn't seem to care. Rather than me, it seems, what really changed Lugalgin was the slaughter of the Cleinhad family."
"The Cleinhad family massacre?" Maila asked.
I'm nodding.
I also started to tell how Lugalgin acted. Long ago, before the Cleinhad family massacre took place, he truly cherished his life. He would never run a mission that was less than 90 percent likely to succeed. You could say, Lugalgin who used to be a perfectionist.
But now, not anymore. Lugalgin is no longer a perfectionist. In fact, I can say, Lugalgin is now a suicide squad. Well, to say the squad is also strange because he is only one person. In essence, he likes to field himself on dangerous missions, suicide missions. However, fortunately, Lugalgin was able to get through it all and still survive until now.
In fact, when Lugalgin got the nickname disability duo, I had to suppress the information on the black market so that no one would know his identity.
"That means, it shows Lugalgin's strong, right?"
"Not really," Ukin and I answered together, again.
Ukin added. "If I say, up to this point, Lugalgin's lucky."
