I Am No King's

I Am No King's
Chapter 246 – Lost Excellence

"I told you receiving mercenaries from outside Bana'an was a bad idea! Now you know for yourself the consequences, right?"

"Yeah. Sorry."

"And now, because of you, the advantage that we had was lost! It's gone!"

The one who was angry at Jin was not me, but Yuan.

Right now, we are in one of the meeting rooms on the basement floor. Moments after the discussion at my house, we returned to the Haria mall. As soon as we arrived, Yuan and I went straight into the elevator and went down to the basement's 7th floor. Yuan had already arranged for Jin to come to the mall immediately and be in the meeting room.

While Yuan and I met Jin, the Emir and the others tried to carry out the plan put forward by the Emir. However, as Guan dissolved himself, and there appeared to be a new upheaval, it seems that we should think that the Emir's plans are not disrupted.

On the other hand, by the way, this is the second time we tried the Emir's advice. Ah, no! Revision! For the big plan, this is the second time. However, for some things, we have applied the Emir's idea many times. At a time like this, I was forced to realize that the Emir was a smart man. He has a brilliant idea. Yeah, just an idea. For details? Me, Inanna, and the elite members of Agade who have to do it of course. However, at least, the basic framework already exists. So, we're not too troubled.

Back to Guan. Simply put, there are differences of opinion between Guan members. Some members chose to uphold Bana'an's code of conduct and black market regulations. Others no. The issue comes after rumors circulated that Jin turned down an offer of cooperation from Rina just because now the black market is giving me a break, a truce.

Though, from the beginning, Jin did not attack because I paid for it. And again, Jin had never met Lina in person. So, the rumors circulating are just nonsense. However, of course, this did not stop the members who wanted to accept Rina's offer.

Because of this, a fight between the members occurred and Guan officially disbanded.

I can only hear Jin's story. On the other hand, Yuan instantly got up and kicked the temple Jin. Doesn't stop there. Yuan still trampled on Jin's head and threw a maki curse, until now.

Okay fine! I think this is more than enough.

"Yuan, that's enough. You're overreacting."

"Excessive? This is not an exaggeration! Even less!"

I held onto Yuan's two hands that continued to wriggle. With great effort, I managed to separate Yuan from Jin. If Jin's condition is normal, maybe I'll let Yuan step on and vent anger at Jin for longer. However, right now, Jin's condition is injured. Because of Guan's internal divisions, he was also attacked by members who did not want to obey the rules. As a person who was almost incompetent without control, he had difficulty dispelling sneak attacks.

"So, Jin, how are you responsible? I can move Agade and Akadia to finish off the para–"

"No!" Jin interrupted. "This is Guan's business. If we let Agade and Akadia clear up the matter, the remaining Guan members would owe Agade and Akadia a lot of money. We don't want that to happen. We don't want to be paid cheap."

Yep. As Jin said. If Agade and Akadia cleared the mercenaries who planned to break the truce I had, the remaining Guan mercenaries would be wrapped around by a debt of gratitude towards us.

Why that? In fact, it should be business only with the disputant. Unfortunately, the code of conduct on the black market of this kingdom is not that easy. If there is an organization that disbanded, let alone a class of six pillars, it took declarations and written evidence from all members involved that the organization was completely dissolved and would not use the name of the organization in question at a later date.

So, if Agade and Akadia take care of the disobedient mercenaries, it's the same as if these two organizations are clearing up a problem that actually belongs to a Guan. This will fall into the debt category. And, one of the effects of that debt is that they have to be willing to work paid cheaply. In fact, it is not impossible not to get paid.

In addition to the way the declaration and written evidence regarding the dissolution of the organization, there is actually another way, which is four of the six remaining pillars must recognize and declare that the organization in question is completely disbanded. However, since the problematic one was Guan, and Apollo had already been destroyed, having been approved by five of the six pillars, then the remaining one was 4. And, it is highly unlikely that Orion and Quetzal would agree to declare Guan disbanded.

Orion and Quetzal only got positive things from Guan's destruction. First, the strength of the alliance under me is diminishing. Second, there is a high probability that mercenary Guan will attack me. Not only did it reduce the strength of the alliance, but there was also an additional threat towards me. And, if this mercenary really violates the truce, there is a possibility that Orion and Quetzal participate in the suppression under the pretext of upholding the code of conduct.

If that happens, Orion and Quetzal will put Agade and Akadia in debt because Guan is still in my aliansiku. And, I don't want it at all. Why would I know all this? Because this is what happened when we killed the remains of Apollo.

"Basic! I told you those outsiders would only bring trouble. Now you know your own taste, right?"

Yuan continued to nag himself without direction. He went to the end of the room and received an iced water from one of the intelligence employees who was dropping off. The ice water received by Yuan was not in the thermos or teapot. The ice water that comes in is inside a tightly bound plastic. Without delay, Yuan went straight to Jin and placed the ice water on Jin's right temple.

"God,"

"Don't spoil!"

Despite the constant nagging, it was clear that Yuan still cared about Jin.

Hah, I feel like a mosquito repellent here. Yeah, nevermind. Yuan also repeatedly saw me having a little affection with Inanna and the Emir. So, I'll let it go.

But, of course, I want to make sure of something.

"Yuan–"

Okay. Yuan acted very quickly. It's not wrong that I appointed Yuan as my assistant. In this way, the same scenario as before would not happen.

On the other hand, there's something I want to ask Jin.

"Jin, I want to ask you something."

"What's that?"

"Why did you choose to follow the rules and code of conduct of this black market kingdom. Given your background of being a resident of another country, it's hard for me to see you take the black market rules of this kingdom for granted. Moreover, the black market rules of this kingdom are the most rigid compared to other kingdoms."

Jin did not answer. His body stiffened for a moment. However, then, a smile spread on his face.

"It seems I can't hide anything from you huh, Gin. Yeah, all right, I'll answer." Jin took a breath for a moment. "Where the earth is cast, there the sky is held. Didn't you tell me this?"

"....that's it? There's gotta be something else, right?"

"Unfortunately, that's all. And again, you as a former mercenary know for yourself that the code of ethics that governs mercenary. Without a code of conduct, what distinguishes us, mercenaries, from ordinary criminals? And again, although the rules and codes of conduct of the Bana'an black market are quite rigid and strict, the flow of money is more rapid. Much more heavy. So, come to think of it, it's worth it."

Ah, money says. Okay then. Reason received. Back to business.

"So" I draw my conclusions. "The condition is that Guan can no longer be included in the plan. Even more troublesome, Guan could also be a threat. So, Jin, what I want from you is not just to make sure they don't break the rules. I also want you to make sure that the members who are disobedient are not faking the black market war. For the pay, it'll be a back business. Can you do it?"

Jin looked at me sharply. With a smile, he gave an answer.

"Who do you think I am, huh? Of course I can do it."

I can develop a smile when I hear it. That's the answer I want.

"Don't smile at you! Your fault! Don't forget that!"

"Yes, yeah. I didn't forget."

Yuan instantly cut Jin's cool moment. I don't want to bother the two of them who are making out. So, I thought, it would be better if I left. Coincidentally on the way here someone made an appointment with me.
