Emirs POV
"I–mom, sister, actually..."
I retell the explanation I heard from Lugalgin. Although I doubt if mother and sister Yurika can find out, but I want them to know. I don't know what to do and I need their input. This is also the first time that Yurika's mother and sister learned that I was a schneider agent.
I explained that the Alhold family is incompetent, but I did not tell you that incompetents have the ability to eliminate control.
Several times, Inanna came in, trying to cover up my weak explanation for trying to avoid the topic of incompetence. Not long after, my story was finished. I can only hope they can accept this seemingly forced story.
"What is serious Lugalgin? Did you really do all that?"
I nodded, confirming Kak Yurika's words.
Brother Yurika opened her mouth, but I did not hear a word. Her lips just moved unbecoming.
On the other hand, the mother did not respond. He looks so calm. Does this mean you already know? However, said Lugalgin, only me, Jeanne, and some schneider agents knew that he was a candidate for the king.
"Honestly, even though I'm mad at you, but I have no rights." Brother Yurika holds the temple. "We are the princesses of the kingdom of Bana'an. From birth, we are given the right to luxury and privilege, but in exchange we do not have the right to choose a life partner."
"Yurika," mother came in. "Right now, all the Emir needs is advice on what he should do. He doesn't need to hear any of that."
"But bu–"
"And again," mother interjected. "Have you forgotten that the Emir's status is no longer the royal family, but the commoners?"
"I–it...." Brother Yurika was silent for a moment. He looked at me and continued his words. "What do you think, you'll accept that excuse? I mean, dad is a king. Dad could have just pulled the Emir back.
"Or, if you want to use a more subtle way, you will conspire with one of the sons of another concubine's daughter so they win the battle royale. Thus, the father could pull the Emir back into the princess smoothly. Plus, Emir is a schneider agent. He couldn't just refuse my orders."
After hearing all of Yurika's words, I felt that gravity was getting heavier. The pull all over my body seemed to increase by dozens of times.
Brother Yurika is right, father will not stay silent just like that. There could have been another concubine's daughter's son who won the next two battle royales and made me return to the princess. When that happens, if Lugalgin keeps his word, does not want to marry a noble, he will immediately divorce me.
Nah! I don't want that to happen! I don't want to!
"Yurika, do you think Lugalgin will let your father do that?"
"Eh?"
I hope Lugalgin won't let it go. But, but....
"Are you not wrong? If Lugalgin did that, it would be the same as opposing the King, right? Is he willing to be an enemy of this kingdom just for the Emir? As far as I'm concerned, Lugalgin is calm and logical. Too quiet and logical. So, I doubt he'll do it."
"Huhuhu," mother laughed softly. "Mom's not sure" mom threw a glance at me and Inanna. "Emir, Inanna, you're agents of schneider and gugalanna. What information do you have about Lugalgin's track record on the black market?"
"Eh?"
Me and Inanna answered almost simultaneously. We looked at each other, making sure we didn't hear wrong. I also saw doubt in Inanna's eyes. That means we didn't hear wrong.
"The information I have," I started first. "Lugalgin is an antiques dealer."
"I also got the same information."
Mom still grinned. "Then?"
"Then?" I tilted my head. "What was past?"
"Unfortunately, that's all." Inanna answered firmly.
I looked at Inanna. "Inanna, you seem to understand."
Inanna nodded.
Eh? Whahuh? Whahuh? What do you understand but I haven't?
I looked towards Brother Yurika. Yurika's big eyes bulged with her mouth half open. It seems that he already knew the meaning of mother and Inanna's words.
"Sorry, can you please explain to me what you mean? I don't get it."
"Well, Emir," mother holds a temple. "You're talented when it comes to control or combat. Unfortunately, you're a fool to be told to think about something like this."
Ah... What is a compliment? Or insults?
"Listen," she began to explain. "Do you think it's not strange that someone who is involved in the black market world is only known as an antiques dealer? I mean, Lugalgin's business, selling antiques, is not a completely illegal activity.
“He sells it personally, so he doesn't have to take care of taxes or business permits. The things he sells are not illegal. So, actually, he didn't need to jump into the black market just to sell antiques. For someone as smart as Lugalgin, it's strange that he doesn't know this."
Ung, after thinking about it, is also true mother's speech. However, there is still something awkward.
“Will anyone buy the goods Lugalgin sells? Maybe, she needs a connection from the black market?”
“No,” Mother refused. “From the information that mom got, and also from you, Lugalgin goods have high quality. Without him looking for connections from the black market, enough in a normal market, sooner or later there would be interested nobles. So, again I emphasize, actually Lugalgin does not need to go down to the black market if the goal is only selling antiques.”
"Add more," Inanna added. "The information circulating about Lugalgin is just commonly known information such as him incompetent and selling antiques. Perhaps, it would be clearer if I said, the information circulating, no matter from any source, is the same."
The same?
No. gabe. Not likely.
Yurika stood up. "Would mother and Inanna tell you that Lugalgin lost his track record in the black market world?"
"Can be. There are other possibilities" Inanna added. "It could also be that he has a strong backing, making the black market not dare to hold it. Or, in fact, Lugalgin has another identity on the black market. Those possibilities are the most likely.”
Eh? Then, then Lugalgin–
"All right, just get there." Mom interrupts. "There is no need to go too far to discuss Lugalgin. We are here to talk about what the Emir should do, not Lugalgin Alhold. To put it simply, we don't need to think about whether Lugalgin will stay silent or will oppose your father if he tries to attract the Emir to the royal family again."
Yurika's sister, Inanna, and I, threw eyes at each other. Although we were a little dissatisfied with the conversation that was stopped in the middle, but mother was right. We also returned to the main topic.
"Then, according to my mother, what should I do?" I asked my mother directly.
"Before I answer, I want to ask you one thing. Why do you doubt?"
Eh?
"Darling, I've been raising you since you were born. I know for a fact that you have made your decision, but you doubt it. In other words, actually, you came here not seeking advice, but seeking justification for your decision."
"I – it..."
"Emir,"
Without me noticing, Mother had already lowered her body in front of me. I put both hands on my cheek. I could feel the warmth of my mother's hand seeping through my cheeks, giving me a sense of calm. Just by the caress of my mother's hand, somehow, my mouth moved by itself.
"I want to be with Lugalgin! But I'm not sure how I feel. After hearing Lugalgin's story, I realized that my meeting with Lugalgin had actually been arranged by my father. I fear. Don't-don't, my falling for Lugalgin was just part of my father's plan. Don't-don't, I didn't really fall for Lugalgin. I'm scared..."
For some reason, my lips are getting harder and harder to speak. I wanted to say a lot of things, but my lips felt heavy, making my speech broken. But still, I kept forcing.
"And, and, if I'm with Lugalgin, I'm afraid I'm going to have to go against you. If I defy my father, it's indirectly the same as me against my mother, Yurika's sister, Maxwell's sister, Lexicon, and Bemmel. I'm afraid there are times when I should hurt you. I don't want to. I don't want to."
Ah, I finally know why my lips feel so hard to move. Without me noticing, I was already crying, making my voice choke.
"Mother, I, I...."
"Dear,"
Suddenly, my mother stood up and grabbed me, immersing me in her arms. She gently stroked my back, trying to calm me down.
At this moment, for some reason, I could feel my worries slowly dissipating. Every caress on my back lessened the worry in this heart.
Finally, after a while, I felt that all this fear had disappeared, melted away by the warmth of my mother. I don't care how much time has passed. Actually, I don't want to escape this warmth. But unfortunately, I have to.
I detached myself from mother, looking deeply into mother's eyes.
"It's quiet?"
"Good."
My mom and I sat back down. I'm next to Inanna and mom is next to Yurika's sister.
"Now, let me give you a little answer to your doubt. "Mother looks at me in – deep. "First, according to your story, and from the gossip I heard, it is true that your meeting was arranged by your father. And, it's true, your falling for Lugalgin was part of your father's plan."
Then–
"But, you're not the only one" mother interrupted my guess. " Your father sent almost all the daughters of the concubine and the empress, the empress before me, to approach Lugalgin. Either through school, become a customer in a cafe owned by Lugalgin, become an antique client, or whatever it is.
“Your father mobilized almost all the princesses of the royal family to be paired with Lugalgin. And, yes, your father's plan was half successful. Many of the royal princesses, even this brother of yours, fell in love with Lugalgin."
"Eh?"
"Aah?"
"Huh!?"
Me, Brother Yurika, and Inanna issued almost the same response. Me and Inanna looked carefully at Brother Yurika. Of the three of us, Yurika's big brother's scream was the loudest. In other words, she was the least guessed by mother's speech.
Yurika's sister tried to escape from my sight and Inanna's. "When did you know?"
"You don't think mom knows? Your usually firm tone immediately softened every time you talked about Lugalgin. In fact, you tried several times to correct your brothers who insulted Lugalgin."
"I, mom. Already, mother." Brother Yurika begged.
Mom looked at me. "What do you think is the reason your brother has repeatedly offered Lugalgin noble status? So that he could marry Lugalgin. It's not just your brother, many other concubine princesses and nobles are doing the same.
“But, finally what? Lugalgin does not falter. He remained firm with his stance, unwilling to become a noble. Therefore, they gave up, including your brother. Only you are willing to pursue Lugalgin despite having to throw away the royal family title."
I was silent for a moment listening to my mother's story. I had no idea about this development at all. Or am I the only one who is insensitive?
"And, I'll bet, your father pasto said 'later, after you're married, I'll take you back to be my daughter so that Lugalgin can be the rightful King'. Aye, right? On the other hand, when we went to his house, Lugalgin said that he would divorce you if you became a royal family again. That's not why you looked to your father when Lugalgin proposed his terms?"
Mom, how do you know what you told me? I was sure no one heard our conversation.
"So, don't worry. Even though your falling in love is part of Fahren's plan, I can assure you that your feelings are real. Your father only met you with Lugalgin. However, falling for Lugalgin is your own choice.
“When others choose to surrender, retreat, you choose to go ahead, fight. What more evidence do you need to convince yourself that your feelings are real? Plus, the conditions Lugalgin had put forward at the time of the proposal had ruined your father's plan directly, right?"
I remembered my father's face when Lugalgin made his request. Just then, father simply nodded without showing any other expression. Does that mean Dad was gone by then? Coulda.
"Then, for the second, I assure you that you will not fight us. Yeah, maybe you'll be dealing with your father, but not with the five of us."
"But where did you get that belief? If we–"
"You don't have to think about it." Mom interrupted back. "Trust in my mother."
Normally, I would not be satisfied with such an answer. However, somehow, I can believe and be confident in mother's words.
I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. I closed my eyes for a moment, making sure that I could say this firmly, without hesitation, without faltering.
"Mother, thank you. With this, I can declare that I will try my best to be able to accompany Lugalgin in his life. Even though in the future I will oppose my father and no longer be a schneider agent, I'm sure."
My mother greeted me with a smile. When I saw her, I felt as if that smile was able to make me even more confident with this decision.
Sreggs....
"Where do you know all that?"
Suddenly there was a loud sound from the terrace of the mansion. Although not a scream, but his voice was loud enough to be heard here.
We also looked towards the terrace. Behind the Window, father is seen standing while Lugalgin is still sitting.
Apparently, this confrontation was my initial confrontation with Lugalgin and against father.

This chapter was uploaded Tuesday afternoon.
Hello Everyone, before giving post-notes and comments, Author would like to thank the likes, comments, and support of the readers. All of this support means a lot to Author.
Before discussing the story, as usual, the author will hold a comment response session first~
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first topic is about comments that say MC, Lugalgin,~~~~ like a ball commentator. On the other hand, the author was reminded of some comments stating that the MC is too normal and relaxed, so it can not be gregetnya.
Well, actually, from some of the draft novels that the author has, I am No King is indeed the lightest. The author says the story, not the story. This lighthearted carry was indeed the author's plan from the start. So, for people who are looking for thrill in reading, maybe I am No King is considered less suitable.
However, for those who are already “leh” with real life, I am No King becomes a new alternative. So, readers can get a complicated storyline but with a calm and relaxed. Thus the mind of the reader will not be too burdened, like hearing stories from the elderly.
So, when reading comments saying the story does not give a feel greg, thrill, or say some kind of ball commentator, the Author feels the author's goal is fulfilled.
And, btw, please don't ask the other draft where. Still precipitated. If I am No King is finished, maybe just hold another draft. Who knows when. Ehe.
The next topic is Emir. What was the fate of the Emir as the future wife of Lugalgin compared to Inanna? Calm down.... The Emir will have his time to shine. Everything has its time. In fact, in this chapter the Emir has started to look different, right?
The last topic of comment is about book sales. For the location, it should be able to reach all regions of Indonesia (depending on logistics services as well anyway). Well, later if it is ready for print, maybe the author will ask what expedition services are desired. Whether jne, jnt, rides, post, or anything else. Well, that's business later. Because now it is still a process of book refinement.
Then, about the profits from the sale of books. It might sound strange, but later, all profits from the sale of books will be donated to orphans. Well, nowadays, the author most often goes through the orphanage anyway.
And, no, the author has no intention of lying to you, nor is he hypocritical. If you see IG or facebook author, you will see the caption “just an author for fun”. So, the author writes just to have fun, pure hobby. And, an author is the type that separates hobbies and work. A hobby is a hobby. Work yes work.
Author is not the type that “makes a hobby into a work”. The author is worried, if using that mindset, later the author can no longer enjoy the hobby, even the thought of profit and loss. Well, not the author denied that the author mindset is strange.
Well, nevermind. In essence, because of this mindset, the author undoes the intention to take advantage of book sales. All profits from the sale of books will be channeled to the orphanage.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, so was the comment response session. Now, a little talk to the story. In this chapter, it is reaffirmed that Lugalgin is a seller of antiques. This discussion of antiques seems to be no longer prominent lately.
This is because Lugalgin already lives in his own home. Then, Emir and Inanna were also forced to get used to Lugalgin's life. Because this is the first point of view, if we are used to something, we will not pay too much attention to it anymore, right? So, the discussion is reduced also because of that.
However, despite the affirmation of antique sellers, new mysteries also emerged. From the last chapter, this mystery has begun to be questioned. Is Lugalgin really just an antiques dealer? Well, look for the answer in the upcoming chapter. Ahahaha
After that, you may notice that there are several paragraphs that are marked with quotation marks, but at the end of the paragraph there is no quotation cap. Even start a new paragraph by opening a quote.example
Mother says, "blah blah blah blah blah
"However, blah blah blah blah."
The technique was used to cut the dialong that felt too long. However, this technique can be said to be rarely used. Authors rarely see the use of this technique. Well, the point is, if you read there is no closed dialogue at the end of the paragraph, most likely the character dialogue still continues. Small chances, forget :P.
Then, if there are illustrators who want comic collaboration or create illustrations for I am No King, can contact the author on instagram @renigad.sp.author or facebook ren.igad.33. Or if you want to open commis, you can also contact through the two accounts.
And, just because the author writes for fun, doesn't mean the author won't appreciate your work. The author will of course pay if asking for a commission. Another author's strange mindset is, “if you don't spend money, not a hobby his name, but try,”. Haha. Mindset that is wasting money. Yeah, nevermind.
Because in the end, “I’m just an author for fun,”. Author just having fun writing. No reason for popularity or seeking funding support. Haha. You want to say hypocrite? Please, the author will not fight. However, if there are positive comments, of course, make the Author more happy with this hobby.
For the record, currently, the artist whose image is used as a cover is a pixiv artist, ⁇ or QYS3. So, before, the author just took a walk in pixiv, looking for original content, trus pm artistnya. Because it is not the result of a commission, but public content, the author does not want to spend money.
So, the promotion at the end is something that the author does voluntarily because the artist has allowed the author to use the image even though it has actually become public content. So, readers can open the pixiv page and like gallery in https://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=7210261 or follow his twitter in https://twitter.com/QYSThree. Both can also.
Once again, thank you to all the readers who have liked and commented. Your support means a lot to this author's hobby.
See you in the next chapter
:D
