I Am No King's

I Am No King's
Epilog 11 – Family

"No... maybe .. you guys must be lying, right?"

From start to finish, I could feel Rina's body trembling. In fact, when all these stories were finished, the trembling in Rina's body just got bigger. I grabbed Rina tightly, trying to calm her down. I was grateful that he just silently accepted my embrace, not trying to break away.

"I'm sorry, Rina. I'm sorry."

Lina did not respond to my apology. His eyes were still focused on Amana's mother who was throwing away the gaze.

I've been lying to Rina for 9 years. Even though I did this all for Rina's sake, it's still not a justification. Yes, I admit I was wrong about all this.

"Rina," Amana's mother added. "We told this not to ask for understanding and apology. We–"

"I just want you to hear the real story, Rina." I interrupted. "And, once again I reiterate, Amana's mother had no role in the preparation of this plan. All of Amana's plans have been replaced by my and Tera's."

Suddenly, Lina turned to me. Empty views. Slowly, I could see his mouth open.

Just insult me. Just hate me. I don't give a shit.

"Thank you, Gin. I didn't expect to get a husband as good as you."

"... huh?"

I saw the tip of Rina's mouth rising. His face looked limp, relaxed.

Lina took a deep breath, then drank some tea. After taking a deep breath and drinking the tea, his body did not tremble anymore.

"In this way, everything makes sense."

"It makes sense?"

"Gin, you can already let go of your embrace. I've calmed down enough."

"Ah .. are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure, baby."

"It's been then."

Although reluctant, I let go of Rina.

"I can finally say this." A deep breath, once again, was done by Rina. "Mother, I'm sorry."

"..."

Not only was Amana's mother yelled at, I and Mr. Bilad were snapped. We did not expect Rina's words at all. On the other hand, Ira was still silent with a flat face, like a high-class palace servant.

"Since Tera died, my mind has focused too much on revenge. I can say that I have been blinded by vengeance. After being forced to kill that fake queen, without executing her, my life felt empty. In that moment, I really had no purpose in life. This is what made me try to kill myself so many times. In fact, even the birth of Clara was not able to change me.

"Either because of time or maybe there was another reason, after Rimu was born, I became calmer. Seeing Clara play with her sister gave me a new meaning in life. After the thought began to calm down, I began to recall all the events in the past. When recalling the past, I realized our movements in the Nina Kingdom were, arguably, very smooth. In fact, too smoothly. After hearing that Lugalgin was working with Ira, everything made sense."

I remember the moment when Rimu was not born. At that time, the most often spent with Clara was me, Emir, and Inanna. Lina rarely spends time with Clara. We were worried that Clara would keep her distance or even hate her mother. But fortunately, that didn't happen.

I'm really grateful Clara didn't hate her mother. After years of living without her mother's affection, Clara can finally feel it after Rimu is born. I think this is what makes Clara cling to her mother. He wanted to get compensation for the time he spent without his mother's affection.

"So far back then I thought, maybe even if the execution was successful, that feeling of emptiness was inevitable. In fact, I began to question whether my decision to kill mother was correct. Part of me was afraid that the decision I made was wrong. It turns out there's another reason you make me do all that. So, just now, I was trembling not out of anger or anything like that. Quite the contrary, I was afraid. I'm afraid that–"

"Already," I interrupted while rubbing Rina's head. "The past need not be too thoughtful. The point is, your mother is alive now and you don't have to feel guilty. What matters is that, okay."

Although Amana's mother still has to take the antidote every day, I won't say it again.

A big smile spread across Rina's face. Since marrying her, this is probably the widest and quietest smile I've ever seen. I could see his facial muscles loosening, relaxing, as if he had gained enlightenment and calmness.

Suddenly, Rina hugged me. "Thank you very much Lugalgin. Thank ye. Thanks to you, I didn't kill my mother."

I hugged Rina back and rubbed her back slowly, without any reply.

Lina buried her face into my chest. Even though I didn't see, I could tell that Rina was shedding tears.

Not long after, Lina let go of her embrace. After wiping away the tears, Rina faced Amana's mother in front and slightly bowed her body.

"May you accept my forgiveness."

"No, Rina. It is my mother who must apologize. Because of mother's fault, Tera ...."

Both Amana and Rina's mother looked down when Tera's name appeared. Huh, basic, Tera. Lookie! Because you are stupid, your mother and sister are suffering! If you live again, I'd really like to beat you up.

"Rina, you can continue the conversation with Amana's mother in the guest room."

"Eh?"

"No, we don't want to bother, Gin."

"No. You guys are not a hassle." I'm responding. "Filial Mother and Mother have asked me to let Amana's mother settle down tonight. They wish that Amana and Rina's mother would spend some time together. Although your relationship will not be immediately good, at least there is progress."

"Eh?"

"And again" I turned to Mr. Bilad.

Mr. Bilad responded to my view, "me, Lugalgin, Barun, and Ira have a drink appointment for tonight."

"Your?"

Lina and Amana's mother both turned to Ira.

"I'm sorry, Your Majesty, the Queen, but I need an alcoholic drink. I may sound rude, but I'm really frustrated to see your feud over the years. Plus I had to hide Lugalgin's plan from Her Majesty Queen Rina for 9 years. Seeing Her Majesty Queen Rina's lackluster figure was stressful to me."

"Ah, that ...."

"Sorry, Ira."

Lina and Amana's mother both apologized to Ira.

"Okay, already, please go into the guest room. The sooner you get in, the sooner we can start drinking."

"Hahaha, yes." Rina according. "Thank you, Lugalgin."

"You don't have to thank me. I'm just doing my duty as a husband."

"Although, once again, thank you."

Lina and Amana's mother left the living room. Ira made a call and soon the sedan stopped in front of the house.

"Thank you for picking me up, Barun."

"I can finally chat openly with my besanku."

"Mr Barun, please move to the back with Mr. Bilad. Let me drive."

"Oh, thanks for the offer, Ira."

I happily moved into the passenger seat in the back. He also started chatting with Mr. Bilad.

Honestly, seeing Lina and Amana's mother made me want to improve my relationship with a reciprocal-based mother. I want to repair our relationship. However, I will not be in a hurry. As long as you're alive, the opportunity is still there.

However, not everyone is born into a good family. What I mean is Emir. Since marriage, Mother and Mother Filial continue to try their hardest in order to be a good mother figure for the Emir. They do not want the Emir to consider all mothers like Rahayu. In the future, I hope, Mother Amana can give love to the Emir as well. And, of course, me and the others are ready to support the Emir.

"Come, Mr. Lugalgin. We're ready."

I smiled, thinking of a bright future.

"Thank you, Ira. Let's go!"
