Final Struggle

After several months of thesis guidance, finally Alifa's guidance lecturers and examiners approved the script report for the trial and testing of the program that had been made. A smile emanated clearly from his face. He also immediately completes the documents of the requirements of the thesis trial. Alifa seemed busy, taking care of her files by herself. She is indeed one of the independent women. Anything can be done alone, although sometimes the mind is not strong because it feels his life does not have friends who try to always be there. However, Alifa realized that if not all things must be done with his friends, there are times when we need to do it ourselves because success is the responsibility of each.

Alifa entered the raw room in the front building, facing the main gate of the campus.

"Excuse me, Ma'am. I want to ask for some form for the submission of the thesis trial schedule," Alifa told one of the guards there.

The woman, who was about the same height as Alifa, in a blue headscarf and dressed in white covered by a blazer, gave her the forms she needed. "The forms. Please fill out and complete the requirements of the filing of the trial. Later if it is complete, please come here again," he said with a smile.

Alifa returned the smile of the raw staff named Bianca, "OK. Thanks a lot, Ma'am."

Alifa seemed happy after getting the form for the submission of the thesis hearing schedule from Mbak Bianca in the campus raw room. Soon after, he rushed out of the building and walked quickly to his boarding house, passing the rat road that was beside the campus.

Along the way, he saw many students who were also busy around the campus, some were even eating in the stalls around. Alifa diligently stepped foot into the boarding to immediately begin the process of filing the script trial.

Alifa arrived at her boarding house with strong intention to immediately complete the submission form of her script. He went into his room, turned on his laptop, and began filling out forms according to the instructions given by the campus.

After a few hours, Alifa managed to complete the form and prepared all the necessary files. He was relieved and satisfied with the progress he had made. Then, he decided to take a break before returning to campus to hand over the files.

Alifa is optimistic and confident that she will soon complete her scripture and earn her long-coveted bachelor's degree. In high spirits, he continued his journey to the campus to submit a thesis submission file.

On the way to campus, Alifa met two of her boarding friends named Meli.

"Yes, Fa. It's such a rush, it's!" said Meli while smiling close up.

"Yes, here! You see, the cave wants to enter the file for the thesis trial," replied Alifa who stopped her steps for a moment, appreciating her friend who asked.

"Sparamith ...! I want to go out, college. Speeding also you," said Meli with a radiant face. He was also happy with the achievement of Alifa. Because, he knows how the struggle of Alifa to get to the point now.

"Yes, Mel. Alhamdulillahot. Finally, the cave struggle is not in vain, although there is a lot of drama" said Alifa. Then, we laughed together, remembering all of Alifa's struggles. Especially to go back and forth to the hospital because Alifa was too hard with herself. Not thinking about his health.

"Yes, the cave to the campus first yes, Mel. Let the spout be done," said Alifa as she stepped back to campus.

"Yes. Good luck, yes. The cave also wants to cook first, later we eat together, yes. Cave wait in kosan." Meli spoke a little loudly because Alifa had stepped about 15 meters.

Alifa looked over for a moment. "Yes, Mel. We'll eat together." Alifa smiled and continued her steps towards the campus with a still burning spirit. He felt grateful to have a comrade like Meli who always supported and understood his struggle.

Arriving at the campus, Alifa immediately headed to the raw room where he got the thesis submission form. He handed over all the carefully prepared files to the officers there. The officer kindly received the files and gave further instructions.

"I checked it out first, yeah. Oh yeah, it's in the finance room, right? Continue, request a free letter from the library also already, huh?" ask Mbak Bianca gently.

"All that, Ma'am. It can be checked the file," replied Alifa with a sense of deg-degan.

Bianca's mom checked her files very carefully.

After a few minutes, Mbak Bianca checked the vacant court schedule.

"OKAY. All files are complete. His scheduled hearing was Thursday, September 25, 2014, jan 11 noon, in room 301 of building A." Bianca's brother told the schedule of Alifa's thesis.

"Alhamdulillah. Okay. Ma'am, thank you very much" said Alifa, feeling grateful.

Mbak Bianca threw her sweet smile. "Yes, equally. Good luck, yes. The spirit!"

After completing the submission process, Alifa felt relieved. He rushed back to the boarding house to join Meli as they had previously agreed. The two of them will celebrate the achievement of Alifa by eating together and reminiscing about all the struggles they have gone through together during college.

On the way back to the boarding house, Alifa did not forget to inform the guidance lecturer and the examiner to confirm the trial schedule. However, it is very unfortunate, like lightning struck, his guidance lecturer asked Alifa to rearrange his trial schedule because it was clashing with the schedules of other supervisors.

Alifa felt disappointed and a little surprised to hear the news that the trial schedule had to be rearranged because it clashed with the schedules of other lecturers. However, he knew that things like this were sometimes inevitable. With a cool head, Alifa sent a message to her supervising lecturer to reschedule her script session according to the availability of a suitable time for both of them. While the testing lecturer, it is ready at any time.

After sending the message, Alifa pondered for a moment, trying to stay calm and focused. He knew that despite the obstacles, he had to keep trying and not give up. He will struggle to find a suitable schedule in order to successfully complete his scripture trial.

Alifa returned to kosan with a mind full of strategies to overcome the problems of her trial schedule. He is sure that with patience and good communication, he will find the right solution to reset his script schedule.

With a limp body, cold sweat began to flood all over Alifa's body, but he still stepped foot into the boarding house because there was a promise with Meli that they would eat together.

Arriving at the boarding house, Alifa as usual, always hid her sadness in front of others, even her own parents.

Meli's room door was wide open, Alifa went straight to Meli's room which was next door to Alifa's room.

"Mel .., the cave has come home!" alifa said as she opened her shoes.

Meli just finished cooking, throwing her smile. "Well .., what a coincidence, here! Lu datengnya pas bener cave already cooking," he said while serving his cooking.

Alifa helped Meli by taking plates, spoons, and glasses for them to drink.

"Widiihhh .., really fragrant, the cuisine. From the cave standing at the gate just now, already kiss the smell," said Alifa while taking the rice and put it on her plate.

"Oh, can you, you," said Meli who was happy for Alifa's praise.

"Yee ..., really know ...! The stomach of the cave even directly demo earlier, let the spit-cheek eat. That's why the cave doesn't go to the room first and goes straight to your room." Alifa laughed a little.

They also pray according to their own beliefs. Alifa is Muslim, while Meli is Christian. Although different tribes and religions, but they are very respectful and high tolerance.

After they finished praying, they ate lunch together.

"Oh yeah, by the way, when's your thesis hearing? Haven't you been out on schedule yet?" asked Meli after sipping water.

Alifa smiled stiffly. "Huh? How's it?" alifa asked who did not hear what Meli was asking because her mind was in a mess.

"Yeah, daydream, huh, you?" ask Meli in a high tone. The tone of the Sumatran people is high. Meli Batak tribe, while Alifa tribe Lampung. If you talk again, it's like people are fighting.

"Hmm, no. The cave is just a degan, nih!" Alifa was still trying to cover up her sadness. Moreover, the relationship between Alifa and Alim seems to be no longer maintained. However, for some reason, Alifa still gives Alim a chance to remain his girlfriend.

"Rilex, Fa. Lu kan pinter's. You can definitely answer the questions from your thesis examiner later." Meli continues to convince Alifa, encouraging Alifa not to lose confidence.

Alifa and Meli enjoyed the food they served solemnly. They talked, laughed, and recalled various memories during the lecture, including Alifa's struggle to complete her script. Despite the challenges with the trial schedule having to be rearranged, they remain excited and hope for the best.

As they ate together, Alifa felt grateful to have a comrade-in-arms like Meli who was always there for her. They felt a deep sense of happiness because they knew that all of Alifa's efforts and struggles were nearing a successful end. Their food and chat became a special and meaningful moment.

"Yes, Mel. Thank you very much, yes, you've always been there for the cave. I didn't know we were going to separate. Huhu, these three years are very short, yes." Alifa smiled as she wiped the tears that filled her eyes. He truly feels very grateful for the friendship that has been built so far.

"Oh yeah, we finish the food first, yeah. Later if you want to be sad." Meli tried to comfort Alifa even though she did not know for sure, what problems were being thought by Alifa.

The two of them spent the meal full of gratitude and happiness, creating memories that they would always remember. Although their college years are almost over, but their friendship will continue to develop and survive. After they finished eating, they both talked about future plans and ended the night with smiles, knowing that no matter what, they would always support each other.
