Adapt to the Environment

The chirping of birds accompanied my morning with a wave of leaves blown by the wind. Dawn was present as usual; greet warmly. I rushed to campus. Brother has prepared breakfast in the form of kale stir-fry and tofu (sambal) my favorite.

“I went straight to campus, Brother!” Alifa kissed her brother's (Humaira) hand in a hurry, while watching the watch on her left hand.

“Breakfast first, Dek!” humaira advises with anxiety; worried that her sister is sick from eating too late.

“Let's eat at the cafeteria, Brother! It's late, here!” alifa replied, opening the door and walking quickly.

The distance between Kosan and Alifa campus is not too far, only taken by foot which is about ± 5 minutes.

Still the atmosphere of adjustment, always introverted if not too familiar. Of the many friends in the class, only one Alifa knew because of her gray-white friend. Called Atiqah. But after a few days, Alifa began to open up to get acquainted and familiarize herself with her classmates.

There is a girl figure who became the center of attention when she first entered the Computer Applications class. The makeup is so striking like a dangdut singer and with braided teeth, smoothing hair, and brown skin. The girl looked confused as to where she wanted to sit. The compassion in Alifa thrashed, until she finally waved her hand and invited her to sit next to her.

“Hey! Sit here!”

The brown-eyed girl approached with a smile that showed her teeth.

“My name, Farah!” he introduced himself by extending a hand.

“Alifa!” They shake hands and decide to be best friends, since the introduction.

The eyes of Alifa were fixed on a girl sitting in front of him, more precisely next to Atiqah.

Alifa smiled and started greeting by introducing herself to the sweet brown-skinned girl. His face looked shady and Alifa was sure that the girl was a good person. His heart must be as soft as silk.

"Hello, my name is Alifa. I can't help but say hello to you. What's your name?" tanyakanya.

Hanin was surprised by Alifa's hospitality. He did not expect that there were also such good people, wanting to greet him first and get acquainted, as if there were no spaces between them.

"Hello, Alfie. I'm Hanin. It's nice to meet you."

Alifa and Hanin shook hands with each other.

"It's good to see you too, Hanin. I saw you sitting here and was curious to recognize you further. Your face is shady, it makes you look like a kind person and I'm sure that you are good" Alifa praised with a smile.

Hanin blushed in embarrassment at the compliment.

"Thank you, Alifa. That's a very good compliment from you. I also feel that you are a friendly and warm person." Hanin praised Alifa. He smiled, revealing his shag teeth at the top, on the right.

"Thank you for your compliment. I believe that not only outward appearance matters, but also one's heart and attitude. And from the look in your eyes and your smile, I feel confident that your heart is soft as silk." Alifa unceasingly praised Hanin with the majas of personification. He is so good at choosing diction to make people feel happy when they hear it.

Hanin smiled happily.

"Wow, you're good at giving beautiful compliments! I feel so appreciated by you. What about you, Alifa? What are your hobbies or what do you like?"

"I like to read and write. While reading, I could feel a different world and dig up new knowledge. As for writing, it made me find a way to convey my thoughts and feelings. What about you, Hanin?"

"I like to play music. I can play some musical instruments like guitar and piano. Music gives me irreplaceable happiness and pleasure."

"That's amazing, Hanin! I admire people who have musical talent. Maybe someday, we can share interests and support each other in their respective hobbies, even we can synergize, like I read poetry and you accompany it with a musical instrument. It will definitely be a good collaboration. I'm sure it is."

"Sure, Alifa. I'm so glad I could have a new friend like you. We will definitely have many opportunities to share our experiences and happiness together."

"Together, Hanin. I hope our friendship continues to grow and we can get to know each other more deeply."

It doesn't take long to adjust to new people. All the friends in the class were really cool, as if they had known for a long time. Alifa also again has friends who (maybe) will be friends because they form a group eh .. gang times, yes, slang. Yes, like the gray white age of Alifa who has a friend of five. However, now there are four members, namely Alifa, Atiqah, Farah, and Hanin.

A few months later, Alifa's activities were completely preoccupied with campus tasks. Because of the dense schedule of lectures from morning to evening, the body begins to feel tired but can still be held so as not to (again) fall as in the gray white period. Because what I remember is having to finish college for three years, according to the target before becoming a student at this campus.

"It turns out that the lecture material is not too difficult," my mind while doing college assignments.

Whispers of the heart begin to talk to the mind to discuss what targets should be achieved during college and after graduation.

"The dream of having a book in your own name must be achieved after graduating from college. Focus, Fa! Focus up!"

"While finishing college, having an affair with vocabulary to concoct sentences into a whole story, I think it's better than having ideas stored away like frozen water, but never having the intention to dilute them."

"Try to send the writings back to the mass media such as newspapers or online media, who knows published."

"Productively become bloggers even though they have not purchased a domain. Can at least express what cannot be spoken by the mouth."

Such are the targets that must be achieved, including when graduating from college later, Alifa wants to become an entrepreneur. The ambition of having your own business to pursue a career is huge because you don't want to work with others. But all of this is not as easy as imagined. It takes hard work and time that is not short in achieving these dreams. That's why, to remember all the targets that must be reached, Alifa wrote them on paper, then taped to the private mading in her room. Even the diary as a record of Alifa's journey in stringing words, reaching for despair.

In this moment, Alifa can reflect on the journey she has gone through and appreciate her own hard work. He may think about the obstacles he has overcome, the lessons he has learned, and the personal growth he has achieved. Despite the fatigue, Alifa also felt a deep sense of satisfaction knowing that she had tried her hardest.

In this calmness, Alifa could also utilize the time to recover her physical and mental energy. He can do relaxation activities such as listening to music, reading a book, or just contemplating and eliminating burdensome thoughts. Sufficient rest will give new strength to continue his struggle towards the dream.

This moment can also be a valuable time for Alifa to plan the next steps in achieving the dream. He or she can think of new strategies, evaluate progress, or set priorities for the next steps. By taking a moment to reflect and rest, Alifa will be ready to face the challenges of the future with renewed vigor and strength.

Hopefully Alifa can get a good rest and come back with a burning spirit to continue fighting towards the dream he wants.

As time goes on, Alifa begins to get to know the characters of her friends on campus, including Farah and Hanin. Alifa had known Atiqah before because they attended the same school. They often look compact and are always together wherever they go. However, even so, they do not close themselves to others who want to get to know them further.

Not only limited to their small group, Alifa and her friends also look compact with their classmates. They often do fun things in class, sometimes testing the patience of the lecturer with their behavior. Although it felt exciting, Alifa realized that such behavior was actually wrong and not good to be exemplified.

Respecting lecturers and respecting study time is important in an academic environment. Although a noisy and exciting atmosphere can sometimes occur, Alifa realizes the importance of maintaining politeness, discipline, and focus during study hours. They realize that their previous behavior is inappropriate and does not reflect a good attitude in learning.

In this regard, Alifa and her friends are committed to being more responsible in their behavior on campus. They realize that togetherness and familiarity should not be at the expense of important ethical and educational values. Thus, they strive to be a good example and maintain a better attitude in dealing with learning situations on campus.

It is very important for us to maintain a good relationship with friends on campus and not close ourselves to others. Knowing the character of each friend can strengthen the bonds of friendship and help in interacting with them. Commitment to support each other and being in a compact group is a positive thing, but it is also important to open up to new opportunities and respect for classmates.

Although an exciting atmosphere and full of familiarity can occur in the campus environment, it is also important to maintain ethics in learning. Respecting lecturers and appreciating the time and effort they put in is an important attitude to develop. Maintaining discipline and focus during study hours is a good thing to optimize learning and achieve academic goals.

So, although familiarity and cohesiveness between friends can provide a pleasant atmosphere on campus, be careful to maintain politeness, good attitude, and concentration in learning.

Alifa took a seat in the lecture hall and took out a notebook.

"Today it looks like there will be interesting material. Let's focus on paying attention to the lecturer so that we can really understand the material," he asked with a tempestuous spirit.

Atiqah nodded in agreement and said, "Rubber, we should maximize the time in this class. I'm ready with a notebook and a pen."

While preparing the notebook, Farah responded, "I also don't want to miss out on important information from the lecturer. Can we help each other if someone doesn't understand?"

Hanin knitted his brows. "of course! We can remind each other or exchange notes if one is missed. We're a solid team, right?" hanin said with a smile.

"Sure, Hanin. We support each other in learning. So, let's start focusing and pay close attention to what the lecturer will say," said Alifa.

The lecturer began to teach, Alifa and her friends were silent, in order to pay close attention. They take note of the key points and strive to truly understand the material being delivered.

Alifa nodded. Then he said, "Ah, I began to understand the concepts being taught. What about you guys?"

Atiqah confidently, said, "I am also following well. This material is very useful for later big tasks."

"I agree. We have to really understand in order to do the job well" said Farah who was busy justifying her hair.

"I'm a little overtaken, but thanks to your records, I can catch up. Thank you, guys," said Hanin.

"No problem, Hanin. We are always ready to help each other. So, let's keep focusing and try to understand every part of this material" said Alifa.

With enthusiasm, Alifa and her friends continued to listen and record the lecture material attentively.

However, there was a group of students in the class who were still noisy. I don't know what they're talking about. Lecturers also pay attention to groups of friends who are not focused.

"I'm sorry, can I say something? I noticed earlier that some of you seem to be busy with other things. Right now, we are trying to understand the material that is important. I would like to ask everyone to focus on this learning so that we can maximize the time we have. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation," said the lecturer.

Akhtar felt awake. Then, hurriedly responded to the reprimand. "Sorry, Mr. Lecturer. We will immediately improve our focus and return to learning" he said by putting both hands together.

Atma agreed. "True, we apologize for our inaccuracy earlier," he said, realizing their mistake.

"We are aware of our mistake, Mr. Lecturer. We will make sure that it does not happen again" Akhtar said.

Shamefully, Atma said, "Thank you for the reprimand and remembrance, Lecturer. We will be more careful in the future."

Other students who were also involved in the commotion also apologized and would not repeat it. They feel scared because this one lecturer is quite decisive in acting. Fortunately this time they only get a reprimand, whether they are expelled from the class and not allowed to follow until the end of the lecture. Maybe they will not get a grade and automatically, have to repeat the course in a short semester or later.

The lecturer was happy because his students realized their mistake and apologized.

"Thank you for your response. I know that everyone can focus and learn well. Let's continue with our passion and seriousness in understanding this material" he said and returned to give lecture material.

After receiving a reprimand from the lecturer, all students in the class immediately improved their focus and returned to following the learning with full attention. They learn from their mistakes and are committed to staying focused throughout the course.
