Finally Fallen Too

In the dark, Alifa crawled towards the edge of the immortals. Fatigue struck his body like a wave that broke his resolve. The fragile heart felt like a withered flower that was helpless against the blazing of fate. In the eyes of Alifa, the world looked like a dull sky, no light shining down on the path he was taking.

Confined in unspoken torment, Alifa felt her life force dim like embers that were about to go out. He was adrift in a sea of high despair, like a ship stranded without direction. Each of his breaths felt like the last whiff, illustrating that his life was about to take his last breath.

The sun in Alifa's heart began to set, leaving a trace of gloom in her soul. Like a full moon dimming, he felt himself getting further and further away from the rays of happiness. The life that seemed to run in the end, gave rise to the impression that Alifa had reached her limit, entering the end of the life journey that lay before her.

In a frame of sadness and despair, Alifa felt her body like a cloth sagging from helpless hands. It droops helplessly, like a bird losing the ability to fly. Every second that passed like the past faded away, leaving Alifa in a void that blurred the grim life story.

However, in every gloom, drops of hope remained in the mind of Alifa. Like dew dots dancing on withered leaves, that hope was still burning behind the darkness. Among the shards of grief and the moans of weakness, he realizes that his life's journey has not come to a complete end.

On a dark night, the atmosphere of Alifa's sister Humaira's return home, with her friend Kinara, is colored by unexpected worries and fears. Upon arriving at the boarding house, they hope to greet Alifa with cheerful smiles and warmth, but what they encounter is far from hope.

When they entered Alifa's room, they were surprised that Alifa was lying on the bed, not moving at all. His brother and friend quickly called out his name, trying to wake him up, but there was no response. Fear began to pervade their minds, and their hearts were pounding.

Humaira approached Alifa in a panic, followed by Kinara.

"Alifa! Alifa! Why don't you respond? You all right?" humaira said with a racing heart. Afraid of his sister why.

They stood beside Alifa and when the dim light of the lamp touched Alifa's face, they saw her alarming state. His face was deathly pale, as if there were no color droplets left on his skin. As soon as they touched it, they felt the warmth that was normally present in Alifa's body, having been replaced with a bone-chilling cold.

Kinara worriedly, said, "Humaira, what happened? Why does Alifa look like this? Her body is so cold!"

"I don't know either. We just came" Humaira said in a trembling voice.

In the darkness of the room, the atmosphere became increasingly tense. Humaira and Kinara were trying to keep their composure, but worries grew even more in their hearts. They had no idea what had happened to Alifa and it made them even more afraid.

Without hesitation, Humaira immediately contacted her parents. When the phone was connected, Humaira said a greeting in a trembling voice. This made his father suspect that his son was having problems.

"What's up, brother? Is there a problem there?" ask Mr. Zaidan who is trying to calm down.

"What's up, Dad?" nisa's mother asked in a whispering voice. It sounds from the end of the phone.

Mr. Zainal did not respond to his wife's questions.

"Something bad happened, Dad. Alifa fainted. His body was deathly pale and felt cold," Humaira said with teary eyes. He tried to wipe away the tears so as not to come out.

"Astaghfirullahal. Where are you guys now?" ask Mr. Zainal who is starting to feel anxious.

"We're in a boarding house, Dad, Alifa's lying motionless in bed. When we tried to wake him up, there was no response at all. His face was so pale, it was as if life had abandoned him. His body feels cold, like a corpse."

While Humaira talks to her father, Kinara helps stimulate Alifa's body to wake up. However, the result is nil.

Humaira who saw her sister's apprehensive state, grew increasingly worried.

Nisa's mother takes over the phone that was held by her husband's hand (Pak Zainal). "Stay calm, Humaira. We'll be there soon. Check Alifa's pulse and breathing. If he is not breathing or pulse is not felt, then for a while, you call your alakmu¹ number, yes, so that you can be taken to the hospital."

"Good, Mom. I'll check his pulse soon. But please come soon, we are very worried" Humaira pinta. "Oh yes, Humaira immediately contacted alak after this. Assalamu'alaikum," he continued.

After the conversation was over, Humaira anxiously examined Alifa's pulse and breathing while waiting for the arrival of her parents. He hoped and prayed that Alifa would soon get the necessary medical help and recover safely. Then, Humaira hurriedly looked for her old phone contact named Rosa.

As they waited for help, they sat around Alifa, looking at her with a mixture of anxiety and hope. They hoped that Alifa would wake up soon and smile as usual, relieving the uneasiness that engulfed them.

Humaira called her alak. "Hello, what's up, Ra?" ask Rosa's mother gently.

"Alak, Alifa was suddenly unconscious and her body felt cold. Dad asked me to contact Alak," Humaira said as she squeezed between Alifa's toes, which still felt cold.

"Astaghfirullahal. How is the story, how could Alifa be unconscious? Haven't eaten him or what?" asked Rosa's mother in an anxious tone.

"I don't know either, Lak. Because I just came home, when calling Alifa, he did not say. Then, Humaira approached towards him, apparently he fainted. When it touched his body, it felt really cold."

"Yes, you wait there, yeah. Alak get there."

"Yes, Lak. Thank you" Humaira said, hanging up the phone.

Rosa's mother and her only child, a boy, headed to the boarding house of Alifa and Humaira.

As Humaira and Kinara waited, the sound of the clock ticking on the walls of the room rang out clearly, reminding them of every passing second. Every second felt like an eternity, as they tried to remain calm in a situation full of uncertainty.

Friends and boarding mother Alifa who heard the riots that occurred in Alifa's room, immediately approached.

Humaira was speechless no more. Kinara helped answer, "Alifa fainted. There has been no response from her body yet."

Gina with a batak accent and a loud voice was surprised to see Alifa's pale body. When Alifa's body touched, it was cold.

"Humaira's been calling the old man yet?" ask mom kos.

"Al-already, Mom. I-they are on their way," Humaira replied in a stammer.

"What do they say?"

"Mom and Dad are on their way here. I also called alak. He'll be arriving in a few minutes and taking Alifa to the hospital."

...***...

Finally, with a long wait, Rosa's mother arrived at the boarding house and Alifa was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Humaira and Kinara brought Alifa's belongings to the car. While Alifa was carried by her cousin (Fatan) to the hospital quickly.

There, they hope that the doctors will find answers to the mysterious condition that afflicts Alifa. While praying, they wished the best for Alifa, especially hoping that she would recover soon.

In an atmosphere of tension and uncertainty, the night left a deep impression in the hearts of Humaira and Kinara. They will always remember the worry and fear they feel when they see Alifa in a motionless and unresponsive state. The pale, cold, corpse-like state of Alifa became a picture that stuck in their minds, reminding how fragile life is and the importance of appreciating every moment we have.

Humaira's restless. "Please Alifa, I hope you're okay. We're almost at the hospital, stay strong!" he said while holding his sister's hand tightly.

"Everything will be fine, Humaira. The hospital will provide the care Alifa needs. We must remain calm and pray for him" Kinara said, calming.

Finally, they arrived at the hospital and took Alifa to the Emergency Unit (UGD). Meanwhile, Rosa's mother is busy calling her other family members.

One of the medics approached them. "What's going on? How did he get to this?"

Humaira almost cried. "We don't know, Sus. We went home and found him unconscious, his body pale and cold."

"Okay, we'll take care of him soon. We will give our best for Alifa. Stay calm and give the necessary information to the receptionist" said the medical officer who is a slim woman like a Spanish guitar.

Humaira, Kinara, Rosa's mother, and Fatan sat in the waiting room, waiting for information about Alifa's state.

Kinara held Humaira's hand and said, "Everything will be fine, Humaira. Alifa will get the best treatment here. We have to stay strong for him."

Humaira nodded with tears. "I just hope he's okay. Please help pray that Alifa recovers quickly, yes!" her door.

In the waiting room, Humaira and Kinara waited with deep hope and concern, praying that Alifa would recover and regain consciousness.

Rosa's mom is still busy calling. Until the last call, it goes to the father of Alifa and Humaira.

"Zainal, we're already in the hospital. Where have you been?"

"About another hour and a half, we'll be here soon, brother. Please let me know how Alifa is progressing, yes. Thank you very much." Mr. Zainal accelerated a little bit the speed of his car.

Nisa's mother reminded that safety is important. Don't let, Alifa has been in the hospital, they also come in. Nisa's mother asked her husband to be careful driving a car.

"Slow down, well, the important thing is to get to the goal." Nisa's mother while looking at the situation in front because it was night, while her husband drove in a panicked car. So, Nisa's mother continues to monitor the situation so that nothing happens that she wants.

In a well-lit hospital treatment room, Alifa lay weakly in bed, relying on the help of an oxygen tube to breathe. The surrounding atmosphere was filled with the noise of medical instruments and a distinctive antiseptic aroma. Although Alifa was receiving intensive treatment, her consciousness was still not restored.

Doctors and nurses carefully watched over Alifa's condition, trying every means to wake her from her unconscious state. In a last-ditch effort, a syringe was gently inserted in Alifa's hand, hoping it would provide the necessary stimulation to trigger a response from her body.

However, despite the needle piercing her skin, Alifa remained in a state of unresponsiveness. Like a secret held tightly by his body, he seemed reluctant to open his eyes and reveal the presence of consciousness. Everything around him, even physical pain, was unable to force him to return to the conscious world.

Alifa's friends with Mrs Kos and Mrs Kos arrived at the hospital. They also pray for Alifa and follow the development of the condition of the yellow-skinned girl, the body is small, and the person is very cherry. They miss the joy of Alifa and the stories that are always shared every day.

In a tense silence, Alifa's family and boarding friends held their breaths, hoping that there would be signs of life emerging. However, as time passes, Alifa remains trapped in a dark and mysterious world, unshakable by anything a dedicated medical team does.

Fear and frustration engulfed them all. Every eye looked at Alifa with hope, while in their hearts they offered hopeful prayers. They were eager to see him smile back and speak as usual. However, silence seemed to be a loyal friend, continuing to accompany him in the darkness.

Amidst the despair that surrounds them, they are united in the power of compassion and hope. Alifa still had not woken up, but their desire to see her recover and return to be among them had never been extinguished. They stay afloat, ready to support Alifa on this unexpected journey, though they have no idea how much longer this ordeal will last.
