A Duck in Every Class

In her fifth semester of college, Alifa felt the time passed so quickly. He pondered about the long journey he had taken during his college days. Various challenges and exams have been faced with passion and determination.

Initially, when entering the world of lectures, Alifa felt a little anxious about all the new things. However, with the support of her classmates and seniors, Alifa feels more confident and eager to face all the challenges of college every day.

A lot of things that Alifa has been through over these five semesters. Nights stay up late to complete assignments, study hard for challenging exams, and of course fun moments with his college friends. All of that became an inseparable part of the memories of his college days.

Not infrequently Alifa felt tired and wanted to give up, but he always remembered the burning dream in his heart, which was to graduate from college in three years. The dream became a source of motivation to keep fighting and not give up despite difficult moments.

With each test she faced, Alifa felt more developed and learned many new things. He realized that the college process was not only about earning a degree, but also about learning and self-discovery. Every obstacle faced becomes an opportunity to grow and develop as a better individual.

One day, while working on a college assignment. Alifa suddenly missed Farah. To the extent that, longing for Farah made Alifa reflect on how close their relationship used to be. They have gone through so many moments together, sharing laughter, crying, and also hobbies. Alifa always felt happy when she was near Farah, and they complement each other in many ways.

Alifa remembered when she was in a class with Farah.

"Alifa has not done Computer Applications yet?"

"Alifa has not yet left? Farah pick me up, yeah, let's go together. This is Farah's gonna get to kosan Alifa."

As well as several other dialogues that make Alifa smile when remembering the moment with Farah. Even Farah was the only friend who really cared about Alifa when Alifa was sick.

"Alifa is healing fast, yes."

"Alifa's been eating, hasn't she?"

"Alifa don't forget to take medicine?"

The sentence that made Alifa feel most moved was when Farah was very attentive to the diet of Alifa. What can and should not be eaten, Farah one of the most beautiful advises and reminds Alifa to avoid the things that trigger the disease Alfah relapse.

"Alifa cannot eat pedes. It will hurt, you!"

"Alifa can't be too tired. Don't forget to take a break. Don't get distracted if you do that job."

However, there are considerations that make Alifa aware that sometimes maintaining distance is important in friendship. Alifa thinks that by giving Farah the opportunity to be independent, it could be a positive step in their growth as individuals.

Avoiding Farah may not be an easy act for Alifa. Especially since they were always together before and had so many wonderful memories. However, sometimes, there are times when we must give our friends space to explore themselves and grow as independent individuals. This is not to say that Alifa no longer loves or appreciates their friendship, but rather about giving Farah the freedom and opportunity to find her own way.

In undergoing this change, Alifa felt sad and lonely because she rarely met Farah. However, it is time for Alfa to better understand himself, explore other interests and desires, and give himself the opportunity to develop without dependence on certain relationships.

The next day, the morning sun shone brightly, illuminating Alifa's steps towards the campus. He felt excited because he knew he was going to meet Farah, his best friend who he had not met for a long time. With a stack of textbooks in his grasp, Alifa approached the steps towards the lecture hall.

Arriving in front of the stairs, Alifa almost started climbing the stairs when she heard a cheerful voice from behind.

"Alifa!" call that voice.

Alifa immediately turned around, and there she saw Farah, running towards her with a bright smile on her face. His heart felt warm to see his friend.

"Yes, Farah just got out of class. Turns out we're one building, but different classes, huh? Long time no see, Farah really miss Alifa," said Farah while returning a warm embrace.

Alifa nodded, still smiling happily. "True, Alifa also miss Farah. It feels different if you don't meet, huh? Oh yeah, how's Farah doing, huh?"

"Alhamdulillah, Farah is fine. If it's Alifa, how is it?"

"Sama, Alifa is fine too. Farah still likes shopping, right?" alifa asked with a seductive smile. Her hands gently cooed Farah's waist with the tip of her index finger.

Farah laughed lightly. "Yes dong, a hobby is still a hobby. If you, is the book shopping still diligent?"

"Ah, yes it is. But now more buy or download e-books, anyway, let's not be noisy in the room," replied Alifa with a laugh.

They continued to talk while sitting on the stairs, just like they used to. The spirit of Alifa was again fulfilled with the presence of Farah. They shared stories of their college experience apart and laughed at the funny memories they shared.

After quite a long chat, they finally had to part ways again as it was time to enter their respective classes.

"Unfortunately we have different classes, so we can not always meet like first" said Farah.

Alifa nodded in agreement. "Yes, but nothing. We can still tell each other, and later if there is free time, we can have lunch together or to the mall like before."

"Deal!" sahut Farah shaking hands with Alifa.

The two stood up and hugged each other once more before parting ways. Despite the class differences, the meeting has warmed their hearts and thrown away the longing that has been pent up for quite a long time. Alifa felt grateful because today they were in the same building, and it gave her hope to meet more often and let go of longing with her best friend.

After parting with a smile and promising each other to keep communication, Alifa and Farah walked to their respective classes. Although their classroom building was always moving around, there was a sense of relief in Alifa's heart as they could at least meet in several classes in the same building.

Upon entering her class, Alifa smiled looking at her classmates sitting around her. Although he was happy to meet up with Farah, Alifa also loved his classmates. They are friends who always support and share laughter on college trips.

Lecture went well, Alifa remained focused on the lessons and notes made. He tried to follow each lecturer's explanation seriously, absorbing the knowledge provided in order to prepare well for future exams.

After finishing college, Alifa continued her day with various activities as usual. However, this time there was added happiness as the brief encounter with Farah this morning had boosted her spirits.

After lunch, Alifa pulled out her phone and sent a short message to Farah.

"Hi, Farah! It was great to see you this morning. So miss our time often together. Hopefully we can meet again often yes, let alone our class sometimes in the same building."

Not long after, Farah's reply came in.

"Hi, Alfah! Equally, Farah is also very happy to see Alifa again, even though we are one campus. It's really good when we go everywhere. Hmm .. hopefully we can see you again often, even though different classes. We'll have lunch together sometime, yeah. We met at the campus cafeteria."

A smile was etched on Alifa face while reading the message from Farah. Alifa hopes their friendship remains tight and able to overcome the physical distance that sometimes hinders their meeting.

From that day on, Alifa and Farah tried to keep communication and set a time to meet when the opportunity arose. The brief meeting between their lecture activities became a very anticipated moment and kept their friendship warm even though their classroom building was always moving, and the, and can not meet even one campus because it is busy with the task of college that is piling up and very time consuming.
