Ambitions That Revoke Health

A few months later, Alifa collapsed again and was rushed to the hospital. This incident caused deep concern for both parents. They realize that Alifa is too draining of energy because of her strong ambition to graduate college as per her target.

It has been repeatedly his parents remind Alifa not to be too self-exciting and prioritizing his health. However, his stubbornness made them often feel frustrated and worried. The parents of Alfah could often only shake their heads and stroke their chests in the face of Alfah's unwilling attitude to listen to their advice.

Both of Alifa's parents love her very much and just want the best for their child. They tried patiently to advise the stubborn Alifa and often neglected her health. Despite their frustration, they still try to give support and love to Alifa.

"Alifa, I told you, don't push yourself this way. I'm proud of your passion for learning, but keep it healthy, son." I counseled while feeding Alifa.

"Sorry, Mom. I know for myself, Alifa does not like it the least if there is material that is left behind. Alifa wants to get good grades. Alifa doesn't want to disappoint you guys anymore, especially dad."

Alifa immediately remembered the incident several years ago, when she was still Junior High, her heart was injured because of her father's words. His father was disappointed because Alifa was small, thought Alifa did not study and was not serious in school, even though Alifa had tried hard to get the best grades.

From then on, Alifa harbored a strong determination to get the best value consistently in order to avoid angering her father. Regardless of his health, he wrestled hard in an attempt to achieve his goal. Alifa seemed to not care how much time was wasted when she was constantly studying, even late at night. He continues to be busy facing the pile of books as an effort to achieve the highest achievements in every lesson.

The pile of books opened in front of Alifa, lit up with a soft light from the table lamp. His tired eyes remained focused on those pages filled with knowledge. Alifa felt a tension in her body, fatigue approaching her, and a voice***** hidden in her chest. However, his unwavering determination pushed him beyond his own limits.

Time seems to pass so fast. The days kept changing, but Alifa's routine never changed. He never knew enough rest, except when his body was no longer able to continue the struggle.

His father who was always busy with his work was not aware of the persistent struggle that Alifa did every day. For him, the success of his son is only measured from the numbers written on the report card. Alifa knew that only the best value could quell her father's anger, give him a little pride, and perhaps a little love that he had longed for.

However, in the tension that adorns her life, Alifa begins to feel that something is missing. The time to play, laugh, and enjoy life is almost non-existent. He was trapped in a void that strangled him, bound by unfulfilled expectations.

Then one day, as her body was about to wriggle in surrender, Alifa found herself slumped on the floor. He felt dizzy, his vision blurred, and his body was weakly helpless. A loud alarm rang in his head, forcing Alifa to stop his indiscriminate struggle.

His fragile body became an undeniable reminder of the limits of humanity. Alifa realized that she had sacrificed herself in the search for the satisfaction of others. The darkness that enveloped his mind started to light up little by little.

In the silence that surrounded her, Alifa decided to embrace balance. He chose to keep learning with a strong determination, but also gave himself time to rest and maintain his physical and mental health.

Alifa realizes that the best value is not everything. Happiness, freedom, and a balanced life cannot be reduced to numbers on a piece of paper. He decided to find satisfaction and pride in the learning journey he lived, not just in the final results he obtained.

With a more careful and thoughtful move, Alifa built a bridge between ambition and happiness. He finds time to live the hobbies he loves, socialize with friends, and enjoy precious moments with his family.

Alifa learns to love and respect herself, realizing that best value does not always mean success and happiness. He found that true happiness lies in the harmony between achievement and a balanced life. And from then on, Alifa promised herself to be the doer in her life story, not just the audience caught up in the expectations of others.

They hope that Alifa can learn from this experience and realize how important it is to take care of health and not be too self-imposed. Both of Alifa's parents promised to continue to support Alifa in achieving her goals, but also wanted Alifa to understand that health was a top priority. They prayed that Alifa could be more patient and wise in dealing with life's challenges and appreciated the advice given by the parents who always loved her.

"Alifa. What are you thinking, anyway? Do not think too much so that your disease quickly recovers. Stomach ulcers are very dangerous if you ignore this disease of yours," said the doctor, advising Alifa.

Alifa smiled while thinking. "A lot of things I've been thinking about, Doc. I was confused as to where to start."

The doctor called out Alifa's name because of her unfocusedness.

"Huh, what, how, Doc?" sahut Alifa with plonga-plongo.

The doctor shook his head. "Hmm, Alfie. If you want to heal, please take care of your health. Doctors can only give you medicine for your pain relief, not a true healer. So, you have an important role in your healing process. The rest, you pray to God, ask for healing."

Then, the doctor gave a prescription drug to the nurse who accompanied him. Then, say goodbye to Alifa to check on the other patients.

Behind the curtain of darkness that surrounded Alifa, was hidden an invisible fight. Alifa is trapped in a labyrinth of inexpressible emotions, an inner war that feeds on her. Her declining health, like vaguely stealing the attention of pent-up dissatisfaction.

Every visit to the hospital is part of a complicated game. Although her body was weak, Alifa continued to lift the heavy burden of wanting to prove herself. Like an unhealed wound, the envy wrapped around his heart defied the abandonment he felt.

His father, a figure who always boasted of his older sister, presented a small and marginalized sense in Alifa's soul. Every praise and affection seemed to be generously poured out on Eliz, while his brother also felt the sweetness of the parents' attention. Disappointment and dissatisfaction began to poison Alifa's mind, but her hands were unable to reach an opportunity to express what she felt.

In a breathless silence, Alifa knit an unspoken resistance. He gathers every strand of courage that exists in him, hoping to find a way to attract his father, proving that he is also valuable and able to achieve achievements like his brothers.

However, the deeper he got caught up in this game, the more fragile his health became. Every time her body fell, Alifa tried to turn the pain into spirit. He ignored the fatigue and pain, constantly trying to achieve the achievements that would destroy the injustice he felt.

However, in the despair and weariness that increasingly shackled her, Alifa began to realize that instead of chasing after the shadows of her sisters, she would find true meaning in her life. He is unable to manipulate the feelings of others or tear the heart of his father to gain his approval.

Gradually, Alifa found the courage to face her own feelings. He realized that he could not change what had happened, but he could change the way he responded. He learned to accept and respect himself, without being compared to anyone.

In the darkness that slowly disappeared, a light of courage began to illuminate the path of Alifa. He understood that the parental affection was immeasurable in the amount of praise given. He began to forgive and understood that his parents were also human beings who did not escape weakness.

Alifa chose to build a better relationship with her father, not by proving herself, but by expressing her feelings and aspirations honestly. He learned to open the door of communication that had long been locked tightly.

On the way to recovery, Alifa realized that she did not need to continue to carve achievements to get recognition from others. He chose to live his life with confidence, realize his dreams and achieve true happiness.
