First Day of PKL

Today is the first day Alifa underwent Field Work Practice (PKL). He was well aware of the importance of being on time because his father had a reputation as a strong, wise, honest and disciplined leader. Alifa's father always showed timeliness in everything, and this made Alifa feel depressed. He knew that if he was late, it would be gossip or ridicule from those around him. Even his own father was often angry if Alifa was not on time.

Alifa recalled her school days, where she once woke up and consequently was not given a fee and pocket money by her father. However, Alifa was lucky to have a friend whose house was in the same direction as her home. His friend often called Alifa to go and go home together and Alifa always happily agreed.

Then, since entering college, Alifa learned to be more disciplined in managing time. He tried his best not to come late to campus or other events that require him to attend. Alifa realizes that punctuality is an important attitude to achieve success in the future, both in career and personal life.

"Nova ...! What time is it now? Don't be late for the office." The voice of Mr. Zaidan, Alifa's father, echoed in all corners of the room.

"Yes, Dad. Alifa is soon finished" said Alifa from the room.

Just wanted to go down the stairs, Alifa remembered that he had not brought socks.

"Astaghfirullah's. My socks are missing" said Alifa and returned to her room.

The voice of Mr. Zaidan was so sweet that Alfah memorized his father's singing every day because it was often heard, reverberating in the ears of Alifa.

"Alifa, baby. If you finish the morning prayer, do not sleep again. Take a shower to seger. Keep on sporting the cake, let's be healthy."

"Yes, Dad. Wait a minute, these Alifa socks are almost behind. Alifa grab the socks first." Alifa immediately took out a pair of her socks and made sure back, all the files and anything that needed to be brought, had been taken all over.

Alifa immediately slid to the ground floor. Then to the living room because his father had been waiting since. Alifa placed her shoes which were brought from the shoe rack near her room, directly putting them in front of the door.

"What's breakfast yet?" ask Mr. Zaidan.

Alifa showed her teeth before answering her father's question. "Not yet, Dad. But Alifa wants to be late" he said, looking at the watch on his left hand.

"It's still 30 minutes away. Breakfast first. Do not neglect health" said Mr. Zaidan.

"Yes, Dad. Alifa had breakfast first," replied Alifa by stepping her feet into the kitchen.

Arriving in the kitchen, Alifa had breakfast in a hurry, as if she was participating in an eating competition. Who finishes first, is the winner.

Nisa's mother, Alifa's mother, rebuked Alifa. "If you eat that, you have to slow down, Alifa."

"Yes, Mom. Excuse me. You see, I've been nagging, tuh," replied Alifa, then sipped mineral water in a clear glass in front of him.

Alifa's mother raised her eyebrows, she exhaled a short breath.

"Somehow, you also already know that your father was very disciplined in time, eh .. You even relaxed as if today was a holiday," said Nisa.

After arriving at the banking office he had chosen as the place to undergo his research program, Alifa was greeted by the head of the bank unit.

"Good morning everyone! Today I would like to introduce a new apprentice student in our office. This is Alifa, who will be joining us for a few months as a PKL Student. Alifa, maybe you can introduce yourself?" said the Head of Unit introduced Alifa to the employees who work in the office.

Alifa felt happy and a little nervous because this was her first experience working in a professional environment like this.

Meanwhile, Alifa's father, who had delivered her to the banking office, chose to go home after confirming that Alifa had been well introduced to colleagues and staff at the office. Alifa's father entrusted Alifa completely to undergo fieldwork practice and study in a place of his own choosing. He offered prayers and support to Alifa before returning home.

After Alifa's father left, Alifa felt responsible and excited to begin her research. He paid attention to the instructions of the head of the bank unit and his supervisor, and asked for things that needed to be known to carry out his duties properly. Alifa hopes to make a meaningful contribution during the PKL and learn a lot from the professional work environment in the banking office.

"Good morning everyone! My name is Alifa, and I am very happy to join you in this office as a PKL Student. I was studying at Teknokrat College Bandar Lampung, majoring in Information Systems. I hope to learn a lot from the experience here and contribute as much as possible," said Alifa respectfully greet and get acquainted with the employees introduced by the head of the bank unit.

They gave a warm and friendly welcome to Alifa, expressing their excitement to be able to cooperate in the research project of Alifa.

"Thank you, Alifa. I am sure we will have a productive time together. Now, I would like to introduce some of the staff who will be Alifa mentors and mentors during the PKL period. First, we have Ibu Yuli and Ibu Risma, who will help Alifa in terms of the introduction of work in the finance department. They're Teller's section. Ms. Yuli or Ms. Risma, do you want to add anything?" said the head of the unit named Handoko Setiawan and commonly called Mr. Handoko.

"Oh, so? All right, Risma's mother. Then, what about Ms. Yuli, is there anything to say before Alifa runs her PKL time?" ask Mr. Handoko firmly, like a leader in the company.

"Good morning everyone. I am very happy to be Alifa's mentor during PKL. I will help Alifa understand our company's financial processes, guide her in the use of financial software, and answer any questions she may have throughout her PKL journey" Ms Yuli said with a friendly smile.

"Thank you, Ms. Yuli. Furthermore, we also have Ms. Lita, who will be Alifa's mentor in the marketing department. Mother Lita, what do you want to say?" ask Mr. Handoko.

Mother Lita welcomed Alifa warmly. He smiled and said, "Good morning everyone. I am very excited to work with Alifa in the marketing department. I will help Alifa understand marketing strategies, introduce them to various marketing tools and techniques, and provide tasks relevant to their field. I hope we can learn from each other and grow together during PKL Alifa."

"Thank you, Ms. Lita. Oh yes, in this marketing section also, we have Mr. Nanang, Mr. Dika, and Mr. Budi. Maybe Alifa can wonder to one of them if Mbak Lita is not in the office or is busy other work," said Pak Handoko who almost forgot his three employees on the marketing department as well.

Alifa nodded. "Oh, yes. Ready, Sir!" alifa said with respect.

"If these two men who were beside Alifa, their names were Dera and Randi. Those who will help Alifa for the Human Resources (HR) section," said Mr. Handoko.

Mr. Dera and Mr. Randi greeted with friendly smiles. Alifa replied, "Yes. Greetings, Mr. Dera and Mr. Randi."

"Well, the last one, because the main task of Alifa is placed in the CS, then we have Mr. Andi, who will be Alifa's mentor in the ministry.Bapak Andi, please share a few words," said Mr. Handoko.

"Good morning everyone. I am happy to be Alifa's mentor in the ministry. During PKL, I will help Alifa how to provide information to customers/prospect customers about our company's products to support the marketing of its products. I will also help how to provide information on the balance of deposits, transfers and loans for customers who need to provide satisfactory services to customers. I hope Alifa can understand the work in the CS world thoroughly and gain valuable insight to support her PKL report later." Mr. Andi spoke a little nervously, perhaps too fascinated with the beauty of Alifa and saw the smile of Alifa that made everyone see her feel cool.

"Thank you, Mr. Andi. Alright, Alifa, now you have been introduced to your team and mentors. If you have any questions or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact them. All staff in the office are also available to help. Welcome, Alifa, and may your PKL time be a rewarding experience!

"Thank you, Mr. Handoko, and thank all the staff who have received me warmly. I am very excited to start my PKL here and study with all of you Father/Mother. I will try hard and work as well as I can" said Alifa with a slight bow. Then, smile.

When everything will start working, there are three more people who have not been introduced. One of them, came suddenly and made everyone a little shocked.

"Wait ...!" asep said in his blue white uniform.

Mr. Handoko knitted his brows. "Why, Asep? Any problems outside the office?" his question was followed by bored when he saw Asep's breathing was irregular, as if running a marathon, around the field.

Without further ado or instructions from Mr. Handoko, Asep introduced himself. "Hi, Ms. Alifa. I'm Asep."

Mr. Handoko smiled. "Acque! Asep! You are this, yes. When you see a beautiful girl, her eyes shine. Very excited," he said, shaking his head, looking at Asep. Then he looked towards Alifa. "Oh yeah, Alifa, this is Asep. He's a security guard here. If you need help with parking or other problems, while you can help him, Alifa can ask for help with him, yes!"

Alifa nodded. "Good, Sir! Thank you and greetings, Brother Asep!" greet Alifa with a friendly.

Asep smiled with his teeth. "I am also ready to keep the heart of Ms. Alifa, but do not want to just park anyway, sir. He wants to settle in the heart of Madam Alifa." Only the beginning of Alifa entered the office, there were already those who dared to overthrow Alifa.

Mr. Handoko shook his head. "Oh, Asep! You are this, yes!Emm ..., if there's nothing else to talk about, better get back to work." His order.

Asep replied respectfully, "Ready, sir!" He also returned to his place.

Alifa only smiled at Asep's behavior because he was used to being wrestled by men. So, all the seduction was unable to melt his heart.

I just want to sit in the chair provided. Mr. Handoko who was about to enter his room, turned back to look towards Alifa.

"Oh yes, if Alifa needs a drink or food, can ask for help with Ratih, yes. Now Mrs Ratih again to the market," said Mr. Handoko while holding the doorknob. Ready to get into his room.

"Yes, Sir. Thank you very much" said Alifa.

As time went on, Alifa became increasingly accustomed to the routine and discipline of time applied. He learned to set the schedule well, use the alarm, and take into account travel time so as not to be late. Although there were several times mistakes or unexpected events that made it almost too late, but Alifa always tried her hardest to arrive on time.

The first day of PKL Alifa went well. He woke up early with a pre-arranged alarm. After getting ready, Alifa left the house in time. He recalled his father's message which always emphasized the importance of punctuality and discipline. During the PKL, Alifa continued to maintain her punctuality, completing the tasks assigned with full responsibility.

On the first day of the PKL, Alifa focused on observing and collecting the data needed for her research. He actively interacts with employees in the banking office, asks questions, and discusses to gain a deeper understanding of the banking field and its research topics.

On his journey, Alifa encountered challenges and difficulties, but he never gave up. He uses this opportunity as a learning and an opportunity to hone his skills. Alifa still strives to be disciplined and timely, respecting the rules and work ethics that apply in the banking office.
