Dusk And Suffering

Dusk And Suffering
66. The Three Twins

"That's no angkot, Na. Let's go get an angkot. Wait for Mama later," asked Alan excitedly when he saw the parked angkot.

"No ah, Mama's gonna run amok again. In the hot drawers, I'm a prick. My beauty will wear off. Don't want me."

Alan and Alana, they do look the same, it makes almost no difference. If only they were of the same sex, it might be difficult for people to tell them apart.

Even though they have the same appearance, the nature of the two are very different. If Alana is a perfectionist and cares so much about looks, not with Alan. The child's pederaka tends to be indifferent, just like the old Dusk. However, the traits possessed by Alan and Alana tend to be the same as the father. Let alone nature, their faces are like a copy of Leo.

"Yes, I've done it, then I waited a long time. It's better to grumble over Mama's nagging while eating than to wait here." Alan got up from his seat and walked towards the angkot.

Alana was still sitting quietly until her twin sister went a little further. Afraid to wait alone, the little girl ran in Alan's footsteps.

"Alan wait!" Alana yelled intending to ask Alan to stop stepping. However, apparently the boy just looked back and then resumed his steps.

Bugh!

"Oh, Alan's sick." Once again Alana shouted, this time her cry was accompanied by a cry.

Alan who knew Alana often cried for small things was forced to turn his body and return to his brother who sat on the sidewalk.

"Little injury, here I take medicine. You, don't you also bring a p3k box, why must you cry? Can treat it yourself," Alan's nag took a small box containing plaster and cotton.

The boy slowly cleaned the blood around Alana's knee, after it felt clean enough, he immediately opened the plaster and attached it to the wound.

"Udah done, let's go."

"No, my leg is hurt. Don't want to rush in angkot," whined spoiled Alana.

"Yes, no need to cry, yes we have been waiting for Mama in her usual place, later Mama even nyariin us."

Withholding the pain in her knees, Alana limped. His wound still felt sore even though he was walking by papah by his twin brother.

From the opposite direction, Leo watched the two children from earlier. His position close to the position of the traffic light and trapped red light makes it free to pay attention to them.

"I'll go there first, and then when the lights are green, you get me there, yeah." Leo pointed to the two children who were walking in limp.

Fais just agreed, he began to memorize the changes that Leo made. He no longer asked much why his master was doing little things of a kind nature.

"Hey sweet boy, why are you guys hanging around here? Is it school time?" Leo blocked their path.

The two twins looked up, how shocked the three of them were because the faces they had were almost the same.

"Well, you're twins, huh? That's why his leg?"

"Fall down." Alana answered.

"You're home from school, aren't you? Where are your parents?"

"Mama hasn't picked it up, Om."

Blood ties are indeed invincible by anything, it is evident from the feelings of Leo who suddenly felt closeness to them.

Moreover, seeing a face so similar to her made her a little confused. How can the children he just met look so similar to him, he remembers his past. Has he ever planted a seed in the womb of another woman other than Dusk? Then the woman gave birth to twins? But why did no woman come to hold him accountable? Leo thought in his heart.

"Mom you guys pick him up late, how about you guys drive him home?" bargain Leo.

The two children looked at each other, as if they were both asking for answers. The two then looked back at Leo after a few seconds of deliberation in silence.

"Can."

Alan and Alana said different sentences at the same time. Aware of their different answers, they looked back at each other. Leo just held back his laughter.

"You don't want to, anyway. Do you want to wait until you get home from work?" alan protest.

"You forgot what Mama said? Do not get close to people we do not know, then if he is evil how? How will they be kidnapped?" alana replied in a whisper, but was still heard by Leo.

"You don't see, this is like a rich man. Wear a suit, wear shoes, have nice hair, why take us? Kidnappers, usually asking for money. Why ask for money if you are rich."

They quarreled with themselves because of the results of silent deliberation that did not reach the same agreement and answer. Not usually they are not compact like this.

"Om not going to be bad for you, Om also has children. It can't be as bad as people's children. Um there's a meeting, so have to be quick, you want to be ushered what's waiting here. Waiting here is not safe either. Tuh, look. It's a little quiet. What if there's something?"

"But then how will Mama pick you up?" Alana tried to refuse.

"When you get home, you can call Mama when you get home."

Once again they looked at each other, before long, the two nodded in resignation. Seeing Alana who walked staggeringly made Leo's little heart pity. He offered to take the boy into his trunk.

"Can. I've never been carried by men."

Alana's reply made the man frown.

"Where does that mean? Have you never been fat?"

"We don't have Papa. Mama said, Papa's gone. Don't know where to go. My mom never answered me when asked."

Leo wanted to ask further, but he paused because it turned out his car was coming near them.

"We still have time, right? Take them home first. Kasian, they're waiting for their parents not to come."

"The Father's predicate is still attached to our client. So take it easy, sir."

"I don't like waiting for anyone, Lana. Diem don't be noisy!"

Leo and Fais both looked back, where the twins were sitting side by side. As if he had the same instincts, Leo and Fais a second later looked at each other.

"Small children alone do not want to wait, the magnitude will probably be like the Father. He must be disciplined when it comes to himself." Fais chuckles.

Hearing Alan's reply made Leo interested in talking to him.

"Why don't you wait?"

"Waiting is boring, time-wasting and undisciplined."

"Are you going to be mad waiting for anyone, including your own mother?"

"Not angry Om. But don't want to, Alan wants it as soon as we leave school, Mama is already in front. She thinks what driver Mama is. Though she knew Mama's working again, there must be late." Alana answered.

"Me, I'd like to be picked up by anyone. You who do not want to be picked up by a driver, so we reach the old house. The others have eaten, we are still on the road" Alan said.

"Not so, Al. Mama's not that big."

Their discussion continues.

Leo patted his head slowly. He felt asking them was a mistake.
