Manda lay in her room. He felt his body lately often feel exhausted even though he did not do heavy work. His legs suddenly swelled up without any apparent cause and musabab.
At a time like this, he remembered Dusk. The girl was the only human who cared about her. Always take care of it when it's drooping like this. He raised his voice to ask the boy for something and whatever he asked for would be in plain sight. No one treats himself like that anymore. He did nothing himself with both of his swollen legs.
Feeling her throat dry, she forced herself to get up from the bed and walk to the kitchen. His tired body had to be forced to keep walking.
"Manda," call Aldi to walk into the house.
"Yes, what's wrong?" tanya Manda walked over to her brother who had no idea who Manda did not know.
Akmal just silently looked at Manda who seemed forced to walk. The nanar gaze as well as the longing were clearly drawn in Akmal's eyes. He was unable to withstand the speed of his tears that just fell. Akmal was eager to run and bring the woman who still filled the space of his heart to pull into his arms. But he didn't have the courage to do that.
"Aren't you feeling well? How's pucket?"
"Cape only. Why did you bring your coworkers here? You have a home," said Manda, without hesitation.
Like being struck by lightning in the middle of the day, Manda's words really hurt Akmal. It's not a matter of protesting Manda to the Brother. But the woman did not recognize him at all.
"Do you not recognize him?" So far, Aldi has spoken. Akma's mouth seemed to be blocked by his sin so that he had difficulty opening his voice.
Manda frowned,"Yes obviously I don't know. You are, strangely asked. Why do I even know him?" manda muttered walking backwards. He wants to wash the esophagus that has been getting dry.
"Manda, I'm the owner of the book you're now passing on to our daughter." Akmal was finally able to make a sound after Manda turned back to him.
Manda's breath stopped for a moment. He was silent with the mind that digested Akmal speech. A flash of the moment twenty years ago was immediately curled up - swirling in the head. Manda had forgotten about the incident, but why did it suddenly re-attach itself to his head? It was as if the moment did not want to completely go from Manda's memory and refused to forget.
Manda turned her body in the direction she was. Staring at****** the man who took refuge behind the Brother. His body, which was initially limp, suddenly had the energy to walk towards Akmal. Unconcerned by the pain in his feet, he retraced the floor quickly and
Plaque!
A slap doesn't quite treat what happened. Only that is the most common reaction if someone breathes anger. Manda's breath hunted quickly, his facial expression full of anger and wrath, like a beast that would prey on his enemies.
"Punish me as you please, but please forgive me!" That's all that came out of Akmal's mouth. He humbled himself by kneeling before Manda.
"I'm sorry? There's no apology for a loser like you. GET OUT OF HERE AND NEVER COME BACK!" Manda vented her anger and shouted loudly.
Aldi can't do anything. This was their affair and a dark past, despite playing the role of Big Brother. He cannot be on either side. Manda's brother from Aldi, he's a victim here. But he is also the same as Akmal, both commit the unforgivable mistake of abandoning the child and torturing his inner birth. Aldi can't justify what his sister did.
Akmal still did not move from his place. He doesn't care what Manda will do after this. Really he only wanted to be here to receive punishment from the woman who gave birth to one daughter for him.
"Manda, what's going on?" Ms. Patmi who heard the commotion went out of the room.
"He, Mom, he's the man who took everything from me. Take her away, Mom. I don't want to see him, I hate him, I hate him, Mother." The originally wrathful manda turned hysterical. He tightly hugged his mother's body which was now starting to age.
Akmal again just stared at the woman in front of him. Manda never changes in the man's eyes. It remains the same, remains as beautiful as it was twenty years ago.
"In, take this man to your house. I want to talk to him after Manda calms down. Get me the medicine for Manda."
Without answering Aldi stepped into the medicine drawer. Taking the medicine that he always provides for Manda.
Seen the woman was more about, the Big Brother patiently led her to go back to rest in the room.
"Let's come with me, we can talk at Aldi's. The house is right up ahead." The reaction was very different from Aldi and Manda when he first met her.
Miss Patmi who is no longer young speaks calmly and there is no anger reflected in her wrinkled face. Although it is old age, Patmi still looks healthy, it is proven by her who is still able to walk with both feet without help.
"I'm helping, Mom," Akmal bargained.
"No need, I can still walk on my own. All the bitter and heavy things I've been through without the grip of other humans. Then why just to walk I need your grasp?"
A simple answer, but so striking in Akmal's heart. He then closed his mouth without saying much.
"Laura, please make me drink, yeah, son."
"Ah, yes, ma'am." Without much talk and questions, the son-in-law whom he had already considered the boy covered went to the back. There was no conversation between Patmi and Akmal before two glasses of warm tea came to their table.
"I'm staying again, ma'am. I want to follow the firstborn first." Laura nodded at the two with a slight nod of her head.
Silent. Now only the sound of the clang of the clock that clashed leaving time. Shortly thereafter.
"Where have you been all this time? Why did it just show up now?" Bu Patmi's question was so simple, but not with her gaze and facial expression.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. I know sorry I don't mean anything anymore..." Flowing Akmal's story from his departure abroad until he returned to Jakarta. Tears of loyalty show Akmal while telling his past. Even though he knew as many tears as he let out would not change everything.
"Then what are you going to do now? You already know how Manda is, right? What steps would you take for your penance?"
