Memories of grandma...
When I first visited my grandmother in her hometown, that day coincided with my fifth salary already in my pocket. It can be said 5 months after I was on the island of Java just visited him and his family there. At first everyone in the village thought of me as a government employee who was surveying the field, but who would have guessed at that time I was the granddaughter of an old grandmother who was notoriously fierce. Grandma was fierce, even she had time to maki-makikud and expelled me because I thought I was an official of the government who likes to eat the rights of ordinary people.
"Curkey! The moron employee.he knows that he only eats people's property!" Maki him to me who was then in between the heads of the district to his house
Even I was about to be expelled using a broomstick by him, but I was silent and wept when I saw him who was excited to welcome his grandson with a broom handle. Fortunately before the broomstick hit my body, the uncle I called amang immediately took the broom from his hand and calmed the still-bursting grandmother.
"Yuwes! Sorry my aunt got mad at me! He was again upset that he did not get alimony money from the government this month!" The word amang explained the granny's annoyance
"Sorry mom! Auntie is a bad person!" The wife said when my tears could not be held anymore
"Grandmother.." My tears broke and I immediately slumped prostrate at her feet full of haru
I kissed, I hugged, I hugged my grandmother's feet who wasn't wearing footwear because she wanted to hit me. I cried under his feet that day, to make him cry too carried away, he cried without knowing who I really am. After being pacified by the aunt of Amang's wife, I was allowed to go inside to explain the incident just now.
"Diminum is mbak!" Said the friendly aunt giving me a warm glass of tea which I immediately drank out of courtesy
"You can know! Who is this mom?" Tanya amang kindly sat next to grandma who inexplicably made me jealous
"Miss! It's Ruka! Grandson from kalimantan. previously grandmother never saw Ruka during her stay in Kalimantan!" I said I kissed his hand
"Good-boy! You're Mawa's son!" She said with teary eyes and hugged me
"Grandma how are you?" I asked in his warm embrace
"Good... Good grandma! Your mom how are you?" Ask her to caress my hijab
"Alhamdulillah... Everything is in good condition!" I said as I greeted one of my other families
"Who are you here with?" Grandma asked as she stroked my back
"Well, how many grandchildren are you?" Ask her
"The 4th grandma..."
That day I was really happy to be welcomed warmly by my family here, they were all friendly and kind. Grandma asked me to stay overnight before returning to Jakarta, which I would have. That night my grandmother told me a lot about my childhood which was very naughty, she kept telling me all night beside me. Even though I felt happiness at that time but from the bottom of my heart, there was a little space that still felt empty. Until the morning grandma did not sleep because she wanted to see her grandson while in her house which is always in say she as a house of reot.
That night I fell into a deep sleep, next to my grandmother who told me about my childhood, all night long she stroked my hair. That day he was really happy because he was visited by his grandson whom he had never seen before. I hope Grandma calms down there and meets her new granddaughter.
In the morning I immediately got ready to return to Jakarta, and that morning my grandmother cried after me, not allowing me to return to Jakarta. I was also sad because I only stayed for one night in that warm house. I want to go back there just to miss.
"Miss! Keep health! Eat a lot! Prayer in Ruka so you can come here often!" I said while wiping his tears
"You should also eat regularly and take care of your health there, so you can nengokin grandma again later!" She said she tidied up my neat hijab
"Definitely grandma! Sure is!" I said at the time
But who would have thought that after a few days I left from there Grandma breathed her last. And that day I immediately booked a ticket for my mother, to visit my grandmother. But the amang who told me straight to the apartment said...
"Grandma you tea! Order that you are always happy! Don't come to Grandma's funeral, because she doesn't want to see her granddaughter crying over her death! And if you want to ngabarin mama you wait after grandma's burial ground is dry! He said this is a will for you!" Said the amang with tears breaking
After the amang finished saying grandmother's will, I filled it so that I fainted and was unconscious for hours. In the dream I met him saying the will that had been conveyed to me again and again, to the point of making me sick of hearing it. It seems like at that time grandma did not want to trouble us as her granddaughter and son, I was a little disappointed. And that day too amang asked me to take back the money I left that day for my grandmother's shopping money under the pillow.
I refused to accept the money back and asked that Amang replace grandma to spend the money. At first amang refused, but after I was forced to finally accept the money after quarried to open a grocery store in my village, to help the income of amang who only worked as a porters building. After Amang and aunty returned to her village, I cried again in the apartment regretting my own fate that could not meet grandma again for good.
After my grandmother's burial ground dried up then I reported my grandmother's departure to my family in the village. She said she was hysterical and passed out hearing nonsensical news and messages from her grandmother. After hearing the news, he said, my mother always daydreamed in the courtyard of the house, even to the point of getting sick from thinking about grandma constantly. And after three years of grandmother's departure, then the mother and brother as grandmother's daughter-in-law had the opportunity to visit the funeral grandmother who was occasionally visited by me. Every time I visit a funeral I always feel claustrophobic, but can not cry anymore, because of this great regret.
