Chapter 81 - Needing Friends [Season 2]

The sound of the car engine squeaking. Ryan stopped the car in time. While the truck in front of him can go to the left lane.

"I told you not to call while driving!" furious John while regulating the breath due to the feeling of panic.

"Can you get me my phone? Then tell Ruby I'll be home as soon as possible!" sahut Ryan's. Not caring about John's growl that tends to scold him.

John grunted violently. Then immediately grabbed Ryan's phone that fell under his feet. He immediately put the phone into one of his ears.

"Ryan! What the hell's going on? You're okay, right?!" timpal Ruby from across the phone. He still hasn't turned off the phone call. It was most likely that Ruby heard the commotion that was happening.

"Yes, Ryan is fine. He said he'd be home as soon as possible" said John. Before Ruby could answer, Ryan's phone suddenly ran out of battery. Make the communication tool instantly die in an instant. That's when John's attention is stolen by several police cars chasing from behind.

"They know our escape!" john looked back, looking back.

"Just calm. They won't be able to catch us. I made sure of it!" ryan is confident. He focused on driving. Car driving at high speed. Until he got off the busy transportation route.

"You can swim, right?" instead of answering, Ryan asked.

"What did you say?!" John sontak did not understand. His brain immediately thought of all the possibilities related to swimming. The conclusion is of course the waters.

"Shi*t! Are you going to do some crazy plan?! I knew in a few meters there would be cliffs leading to the ocean! Tell me that my guess is wrong!" john said with a tone of emphasis. He looked hard at Ryan.

"We don't have a choice, John. Aren't you the one who chose me to be involved with your problems?!" reply Ryan. He stepped on the gas pedal more forcefully. Especially when he was able to see the sea from a distance.

Unexpectedly there were two more police cars joining from a distance. John could only swear words from his mouth. Especially when he ran out of bullets.

Ryan who felt he had arrived at the right place, immediately directed his car towards the cliff. Until the car he was riding and John floated in the air. Following gravity, it then fell into the ocean.

Police who prioritize cooperation and safety, automatically stop before falling into the cliff. They can't afford to take Ryan or John to jail.

On the other hand, Ruby is still trying to contact Ryan. But the number he called was certainly in an inactive state. Ryan's phone is running out of battery.

"Worse than that, I thought.." replied Ruby.

"Haha! Come on, what could be worse than coming on the moon?" Gaby chiming.

"Pregnant..." Ruby answered briefly. One word is certainly successful to make Gaby so surprised.

"What?! That fast? Damnit damnit! Is Ryan's anger making you feel like a mess?!" ask Gaby who is feeling anxious.

"Ryan doesn't know yet. I tried to tell her, but her number was off. I'm so bored right now, Gabe. Can you come here, and you can accompany me?" please Ruby.

"Yes, of course. Mike and I are in Canada. Most likely we will arrive tomorrow to your place. Mike and I are coming as soon as possible, okay? Do you really need a friend right now?" Gaby explained at length. End with a simple question.

"Very well, the people in my neighborhood are all annoying. And i-"

The doorbell suddenly sounded. Ruby's speech was cut off. However, he did not end his call.

"What's? Who's that?" ask Gaby. He could also hear the doorbell ringing.

"Eitherway. It seems like someone is visiting" Ruby guessed. His eyes were fixed towards the front window that was covered with white curtains. "I have to open the door. I think it's one of the people next door" he continued.

"Well, be careful. If you need a friend, I'll call one of Ryan's subordinates who's closest to you" Gaby suggested. Before you actually turn off the call.

"Alright, tell him to come here." Ruby agreed to Gaby's proposal. Their conversation ended there. Ruby rushed to open the front door. His pupils dilated, when he saw the figure that came was Andrew.

"Let me guess. You haven't eaten, have you?" tymphal Andrew's. In one of his hands was a cardboard bag that did not know what it contained.

"I-i..." Ruby didn't know what to say. Want to resist hard, let alone expel.

"I bought you spaghetti. I know the reason you fell in the mini market for that food. I actually wanted to buy it at the hospital. But, after learning the fact that you've already chopped my wallet." Andrew handed Ruby his cardboard bag.

"How do you know I really want spaghetti?" Ruby asked. Still in a state of widened eyelids. His hand received Andrew's handbag.

Andrew chuckles. Imagine something funny in his mind. "When on the way to the hospital, you kept delirious and mentioned the word spaghetti" he added.

"Ah, so. You really don't have to bother," Ruby responded while rubbing her nape for no reason. The atmosphere felt so awkward.

"Please don't misunderstand me. I'm just trying to help you. Mrs. Laura said you were new here. Your husband is gone, and I'm sure you still don't have any friends" Andrew said. Adding a thin dimpled smile.
