Chapter 47 - Better to Go

Slowly Ruby raised her head. That's when she accidentally caught Megan and Sarah smiling at each other. Ruby's hunch is certainly getting stronger. Megan and Sarah are up to something. The plan might not be to pour poison into the food, but something Ruby certainly did not know.

Ruby felt bitter. How not? Even though Ryan sided with him, he always faced everything alone. Especially when dealing with Megan and Sarah.

"You why? Are they bothering you?" ask Ryan.

"Of course they bother me! Can you cut off your relationship with them right now?! I can't take it anymore, Ryan! The winter missions will not go smoothly, if they continue to be in front of my eyes!" reveal Ruby with a tone full of emphasis.

"Ruby, the mission won't go smoothly without them either." Ryan tried to face Ruby in a calm state.

"Where do you know?! What if things would go well without them?... I don't want to go on your winter mission, if Megan and Sarah are still around!" reply Ruby. He got up from the sofa and stood facing Ryan. The breath goes up and down in a fast tempo, due to the annoyance that begins to peak.

"Calm down, Ruby. I've made you an important member of the mission. This time you'll be with me, you don't have to be afraid of Megan and Sarah." Ryan can still control his anger well.

"Fuck it, Ryan! I can't stay dependent on you forever. Do your winter mission without me!" firmly Ruby. Then he left Ryan.

Before passing through the door, Ruby stopped her leg movement. A question suddenly appeared in his mind. She turned her body and looked back at her husband. Ryan was still sitting on the couch.

"Ryan, I'd like to ask you one more time. Are you still hesitant to break up with Megan and Sarah? Please, tell me the truth." Ruby spoke slowly this time.

Ryan felt overwhelmed. What Ruby said is true. He was still hesitant to take such a big decision as severing his relationship from the other two wives.

"I'm sorry..." Ryan emitted a shady twinkle from the look in his eyes. But it does not affect Ruby at all. The girl then went out of the room.

Two days later. The day on which the winter mission will take place. Unlike many people who are busy preparing, Ruby chose to lock herself in the room. He didn't even come out, even though Ryan came alone to change his mind.

"Ruby, come! Don't act like a child!" Ryan was angry when he had done five times more persuasion sentences. The man even kicked at Ruby's room door about twice.

Without a second thought, Ruby hurriedly put on thick clothes. Sweaters, coats, and not forgetting scarves that are useful to make his body warmer. Ruby doesn't care how cold the weather is out there. He was even indifferent to the danger that would befall him. Including the criminals who have tried to pursue him.
