Chapter 54 - Henry's Explanation [1]

Everyone in the car was silent to each other. Ruby struggled with dozens of questions in her head. Ethan rests himself by resting himself in the back seat. His face that had just healed from the wound, now had to be battered back.

Henry, who was focused on driving, just tried to direct the car to a safe location. That is a place that is certainly far from the reach of any mafia group. Old house in a simple housing complex. It is located in Utah city. The existence of Ruby must have been quite far from the city of Las Vegas.

Ruby just grunted rudely. He looked at Ethan who was already standing next to him. The man replied with a lazy look.

"Did you follow me from the beginning?" ask Ruby ketus.

"Not really. I lost you for a while. But I managed to find you at the right time. Think of it as my apology for what happened on the yacht." Ethan explains at length.

Ruby let out a long sigh and said, "Please, don't discuss about what happened on the cruise ship." One of his hands was raised into the air. Then put his foot into the house.

Henry prepares food for Ruby and Ethan. Instant food that uses canned packaging. Of course, a man seemed very foreign to the one whose name was cooking.

"Can you help me, Ruby? Maybe you can cook something for me and him." Henry shows his hand toward Ethan who is lying on a shabby sofa.

Ruby walked closer. He suddenly rubbed his neck for no reason. The smile she showed even looked wry. The girl said, "I can't cook."

Henry's forehead wrinkled. His gaze was full of search. "really? Didn't you say you were married?" he just doesn't believe.

"He's a mafia. After all, when we lived together, it was she who cooked for me..." Ruby spoke reluctantly. His scabbard suddenly flushed in embarrassment.

"What?! Ryan cook? Did I not hear wrong?!" Ethan immediately changed his position to sit. His words were quite loud successfully made Ruby and Henry turn their heads.

"You should be crazy about him. Turns out he spoiled you so much" commented Ethan who then chuckled. Causing Ruby to raise her cynical gaze. While Henry chose to busy himself with the decoction of water and canned food.

After waiting for about ten minutes, the dish was finished. Henry immediately served it at the dining table. The table is square, where there are only four chairs around. Ethan will join us soon. He sat down on Henry's left.

Ruby was the last to sit down. He threw his ass into the chair with a fuss. Ethan hasn't stopped bragging.

"Can you shut up..." Ruby told in a slow tone. Both of his eyebrows raised, as a result of trying to hold back anger.

"Come, better fill your stomach first." Henry advises Ruby and Ethan to eat. He chose to observe his two guests. Henry began to prepare himself to speak. He tried to compile a series of events and the right sentences.

"It all starts with love. Or so I hear from people's stories" Henry said. Make Ruby automatically stop enjoying food. He focused his attention on Henry.

Henry continued to tell me. Lucy and Jordan are a great couple. If they work together, then there will be nothing to beat. But Jordan only used Lucy. He wanted a child from the woman's womb.

"Why?" Ruby's getting curious.

"I've heard of it. He said Jordan made his soldiers by training all his children. He's crazier than Ryan. Never marry any woman, and focus on grooming them until they get pregnant. Psychopath!" Ethan gets into the conversation. He told me what he knew.

"That's really crazy!" ruby said, shivering in horror. He thought for a moment. Now she knows the reason why her mother tried to save her from Jordan. "That means Lucy had always intended to save me." he said. Suddenly feeling guilty.

"Surely, same goes with Ryan." Henry devoured all his food in an instant. After drinking, he picked up the cigar that was stored in the drawer.

"That means you're the bad one here. You're the one who brought me into the world of evil!" concluded Ruby while hitting both hands on the table. Ethan sitting nearby gasped in shock.

Henry sat down in front of Ruby. His mouth was attached to a cigar that had been lit. The man sucked it, then let out a puff of smoke through his lips.

Ruby had to sit down. He flicked his hands to his nose. Trying to keep the smoke that continues to stay in the respiratory tract.

"True, I'm evil. But, back then I really didn't know Jordan's true desires. Until one day, I saw dozens of children trained very hard by Jordan and his people. If anyone dies, then Jordan will consider it a failure. Throw away and even sell them through the dark web." Henry told me with his sour face. He felt sorry for what had happened to the poor children. If his bad memory could be erased, Henry would have done it long ago.

Ruby had already opened her mouth as she was about to speak. Henry spoke first. Continuing the unfinished story.

"I originally intended to train you, and then bring you to Jordan when you were fifteen. But..." Henry paused his words. He emitted a twinkle of nanar through the look of his eyes.
