"Nothing bad happened to Ryan, did it?" ask Ruby worriedly.
"It's not about Ryan. But about Henry," said Gaby. He slowly looked towards Neil. A sign that he told Neil to take over the conversation.
"Henry is dead" explained Neil as he fixed his glasses that shifted downwards slightly.
Though it's not about Ryan, Ruby is surprised. He immediately stood up in a state of rounded eyes.
"What?! No kidding! How could he..." Ruby was at a loss for words. He did not understand what had happened to Henry. The last time we met, Henry looked fine. Except for the pale face that never faded in the skin.
"Everything was actually because of an accident that happened a few years ago. He suffered some internal organ damage. His illness has returned in recent months. Henry fell ill after doing too much movement" Neil said at length.
Ruby covered her face with both hands. He started to sob. Get Gaby close and try to calm down.
"It's all because of me... I was the one who made him fight. I shouldn't have let it.." said Ruby, who had dripped some clear liquid from her eyes.
"No Ruby, it's not your fault. Henry was deliberately covering up the illness he suffered. Especially from you." Neil gave further details." Henry knew the time wouldn't be much, so he was determined to help you" he added, putting on a sad expression.
"W-has he been buried? Tell me, if he gets a proper funeral?" ruby asked on the sidelines of her crying.
"Yes, he's buried. My arrival here actually just wanted to give you the inheritance Henry gave you." Neil reached into his pants pocket. He took out a key, and gave it to Ruby.
"What's this key?" Ruby asked while wiping away her tears.
"Henry said the bunker key. He said that only Ruby knew where the secret bunker was" Neil replied.
"What's? He never said anything to do with the bunker to me." Ruby shook her head many times. He denied firmly.
"Henry said, the answer is in the fairy tale he always told you. That's why you're the only one who knows" Neil said.
Ruby was silent for quite a while. He remembered the fairy tale Henry had told him. To be honest, Henry only ever told a fairy tale about a group of animals that saved themselves before the world ended. But for Ruby, it doesn't matter now. Most importantly, Ruby must see with her own eyes and head that Henry is gone.
Neil took Ruby to where Henry was buried. Henry was buried in a cemetery in Arizona. Ruby has to go through a long journey with Neil and Gaby.
Ruby was not very familiar with Henry. Especially in the last few years. Right after Ruby left the orphanage. Ruby hated Henry. But in reality, Henry was the first to treat Ruby like a family. Given that, Ruby was unable to hold back her cries.
"Why did he cover everything from me... I shouldn't have let her join the mission yesterday." murmured Ruby who felt guilty. His crying voice caused some people on the plane to turn their heads towards him.
"Already, Ruby... Maybe the reason Henry did it, was because he didn't want to worry you." Gaby stroked Ruby's shoulder.
"Now I know why he's the only one who doesn't show up... Henry never answered my messages and phone, either" Ruby said. Continuing her sobs. Now he realized the main reason Henry could not come to him. Especially after the news of her pregnancy spread. Henry becomes the only person closest to Ruby, who is never present. Ruby thought of him as her real father.
"I'm so sorry, Ruby..." Gaby took Ruby into her arms. "You need to calm down, okay? At least do it for the sake of the fetus in your stomach. I'm sure he would be sad, if his mother was feeling sad" he added.
Ruby did not answer with any sentence. He just nodded and closed his puffy face.
Moments later, the plane arrived at the destination city. Neil takes Ruby and Gaby to the funeral. He also did not forget to tell the location of Henry's grave.
Now Ruby and Gaby arrive in front of Henry's grave. They carried a bouquet of flowers in each other's hands.
"I'm sorry... I should have said that I love you. I'm even too embarrassed to hold you." Ruby said regretfully. He stared blankly at the mound of earth that had buried Henry's body.
Without Henry, Ruby might not be such a strong girl. Honestly, before Henry came into his life, Ruby was just a weak man who was often bullied. If Henry hadn't come into her life, Ruby might never have met Ryan. Laughter, hate, joking and sorrow, Ruby can feel because of Henry. Henry's appearance was like a glimmer of light in the darkness of Ruby's life.
Regret, that's what Ruby now feels. Why didn't she hug Henry when she was separated? Why can't he say the three words 'I love you' ?
"Ruby, let's take shelter. If this is the case, then you can get sick later, "please Gaby who is feeling restless.
"Go, Gabe! I'm not finished yet!" hardik Ruby while frowning. He crouched down and continued his crying. Ruby drowned her face in both hands folded over her knees.
Gaby decides to stay quiet next to Ruby. Neil had already gone to shelter in a nearby building.
Ruby spent a long time standing at the side of Henry's tomb. He left after feeling satisfied in mourning.
"Neill! Why didn't you tell Henry before the funeral?" timpal Ruby, after getting in the car. She rinsed her hair with a towel that Gaby gave her.
"That's on Henry's request" Neil said briefly. Making Ruby have to grunt violently.
"Are we going straight home?" ask Gaby.
"Yes, I don't want to linger in this city!" ruby replied while staring out the window.
"You should rest first. You'll be exhausted." Gaby gave me advice. Ruby shook her head. He insisted on quickly returning to headquarters.
Ruby and Gaby change their wet clothes first, then part ways with Neil at the airport. Ruby then returns to the plane with Gaby.
While on the plane, Ruby was busy daydreaming. He also did not want to eat the food Gaby offered. Ruby's face look puffy and pale. Gaby is getting more anxious.
"Ruby, please eat something." Gaby urged while shaking Ruby's body slowly. But his efforts remain unheeded. Without notice, the plane landed in Chicago.
Arriving at the headquarters, Ruby immediately threw herself into the mattress. He remembered all his good memories of being with Henry. Not much, but it all feels so precious.
Due to the rain and not eating, Ruby eventually fell ill. For two days he would drink only water and eat a few bites of bread. Gaby, who doesn't know what to do, tells Ryan the news.
Bruk!
Ethan slams down Ruby's bedroom door. His face looked sour. His steps were taken to approach Ruby.
"I heard you don't want to eat? Are you crazy? He said you love the child in your stomach!" ethan concluded. He finally showed himself after a few days of disappearing. No one knows about Ethan. I don't know what it is about. No one asked, as none of the members of The Shadow Holo were curious.
Ruby stared lazily at Ethan for a moment. "I thought you were on a mission with Ryan?" he asked, unintentionally changing the subject. Ethan is seen carrying a paper bag containing food.
"You think Ryan wants to take me on an important mission? He wouldn't have invited me if it was related to cooperation and business!" said Ethan while pulling the chair in front of the dresser, then immediately sat on it.
"Oh.." respond to Ruby.
"Ruby, I brought you some food. This is your favorite sandwich" Ethan said. She doesn't know how to seduce Ruby to eat.
Nah!
Nah!
The commotion sounded from the door. The sound of the clattering steps stopped, making Ruby and Ethan's attention automatically turned to the door. How shocked they were, when they saw Ryan coming in a state of blood.
Ryan just forced himself to run. His stomach was badly injured.
"Ryan!" Ruby who was in a prone position, rushed up from the mattress.
"What the fuck are you!" ethan doesn't believe it.
