You Who I Miss

Mango tree

Tomorrow I wake up in the morning. I want to go to school delivered by my father. I was not allowed by my mother to go to school by herself. My mother was afraid I was on the road. After breakfast, I left with my dad in the car.

At school, I had three friends, named Melyn, Anis, and Dodit. They're also my soldiers, I mean they also live in the compound where I live.

Melyn's in class with me and my best friend. Meanwhile, Anis and Dodit, they're in the next class. Even so, every hour of rest we always gather in the cafeteria.

In the classroom, I sat by the window that was pointing to the field. If I get tired of the subject matter, I take my eyes off seeing the children who are taking sports lessons. Sometimes I get reprimanded by teachers with my attitude. Fortunately I was not moved from there.

During the break, Melyn and Anis were in the canteen. We brought our own supplies from home. Before school in Jakarta, my mother always brought me supplies to school. Mom says the snacks outside are unhealthy. Even though my school had a special healthy canteen, but still my mother brought me provisions.

"Oh yeah, where's Dodit?." I asked.

"The truth is" Anis said with a full mouth.

"Where are you from?" asked Melyn.

"From the back garden." replied Dodit while sitting next to Anis.

"Oh yes, I see mango trees there, the fruit is very much, go home to school we go there yuk" said Dodit.

"Come on." Anis replied.

"Why are you going there?." I asked.

"Follow it" said Dodit, taking my sandwich and eating it.

After school, we went to the back garden. There was a mango tree, the fruit of which was a lot like Dodit told in the canteen.

"Who's climbing" said Melyn.

"Hey, you're going to steal" I said. I didn't know if they were planning to pick up mangoes, I thought I was just looking around the garden.

"Don't steal, just take it" said Dodit as he began to climb.

"Same if not permission whose name is muting" I said.

"The other kids are also on the hook" said Anis.

The mango tree is not too tall and also short. Adults may be able to pick it up without having to climb. It is only natural that other children also take the mango.

Anis went up to the tree and it surprised me. I didn't know that Anis could climb with her body filled. I could only watch it, while Melyn caught and collected the mangoes that Dodit had stoned.

"Awas Ris, don't be there." cried Dodit while throwing mangoes and mangoes that hit my head. I'm sure Dodit was on purpose.

"Dodit." I said annoyed. Anis and Melyn laughed.

"You've been told not to be there" said Dodit with a small laugh. I clenched my hands, I was upset with Dodit. I want to throw it back at him.

Suddenly someone came over saying hey. Melyn, Anis and Dodit know who it is. He was Dicky, the boy who was smiling in front of my house at the time. I watched him walk towards us.

"It's been a lot" he said.

I looked at him in wonder. I thought he was going to rebuke us.

"Not yet" answered Dodit.

"Anis, you can climb" he said.

"You want to say I'm fat?" said Anis ketus. We all laughed.

"I didn't say yes" he said.

We all laughed, not with Anis, she was upset. Ketus Anis face, really very funny. Want me to pinch her puffed cheek like that bakpao.

While laughing, my eyes accidentally glanced at Dicky, he smiled at me. And I smiled at him too. Then he walked away and sat down in the long chair of the park.

From a distance I watched him. He sat down and played a cell phone. At that time there was a cellphone that I thought was sophisticated in his time. I decided to approach her, slowly I walked over to her.

"Watch the video" he said, with his eyes focused on his phone.

"What video?." I asked.

"A ghost, want to watch" he said while showing his phone.

"No ah, fear." I said a little backwards from him.

"Why be afraid, it's just a movie, the ghost is also a lie" he said.

"I don't want to." I said.

"Well, if you don't want to." he said. He then kept his phone in his bag.

"Why did you bring your phone to school?." I asked.

"It was not intentional to bring it" he said. I silently looked at him in wonder.

"Oh yes we have not been acquaintances" he said.

"I'm Dicky" he said as he extended his hand to me. Without any hesitation, I accepted his hand.

"I'm Rissa." I said with a smile. He smiled at me too.

I stared at him fixedly. So is he staring at me. He was very handsome looking from this close. I can even see dimples on his face. There were voices of Anis and Dodit fighting. Suddenly I woke up and let go of my hand. I immediately went to them.

"Why?." asked.

"Dodit, even cool to eat alone, I can not climb up there" said Anis.

"Let me climb up" I said as I put the bag I kept carrying from earlier.

"What can you climb?" asked Melyn.

"Could." I replied, preparing to climb. I climbed up and sat on the branch with Dodit, I was afraid it would be too high.

In my grandmother's house I used to climb a guava tree with my cousin. But I forgot one thing, I don't know how to get down from the tree. I don't know why I forgot how to get down, or because I haven't climbed in a long time. Every look down my head gets dizzy.

"where do I get down?" I said.

"How can you climb but not get down" said Dodit.

I just laughed a little. My head's dizzy. Because I was too tall. Dodit went down first, after which Anis and I were still on the tree.

"Let's jump, we keep it down" said Melyn.

I know the tree is not very tall. But there's a gutter around that tree. How I fell in there.

"Here I help." said Dicky, extending his hand.

"Gak ahh, it will fall" I said.

"So, believe me" he said.

I sighed, I nodded my head. There's no other way. He told Dodit to ride a little in the tree. And he was looking back at me.

"You're the same Dodit, after that you jump to me" he said.

"What, you're serious" I said.

"Yes." Yeah."

I followed what he said. I held on to Dodit and jumped at him. Either I'm heavy or he's not strong. Dicky and I fell with me on his back.

"You're not pa-pa, are you?" asked Dicky as he helped me up. I shook my head. We both looked at each other and then laughed together.

"You don't pa-pa?" asked Melyn.

"No pa-pa." answered me and Dicky compactly. We both laughed again.

"It's lucky that Rissa, if Anis hit your body, hem, abis you" said Dodit.

Anis who was offended, directly hit Dodit. And it made us all laugh.
