The Sins of the Past

"Leo did you hear anything? Sounds like a fuss in the back."

"Yes Calista, we better go back now."

"Come on." Calista replied, then they headed towards the kitchen approaching at Giselle who looked so panicked.

"Giselle what's going on?"

"Leo, I saw Rima mixing something into your son's milk."

Leo also looked so angry, he then approached Rima who now looked so frightened.

"Rima, is it true that Giselle said that you had mixed something in my children's milk!" shouted Leo.

"Ti's... No, it's all a lie Mr. Leo." replied Rima nervously.

"If you're not lying, why do you look nervous?"

"Emmm.. E.. That's because Mrs Giselle accused me of doing the no-no, wasn't it before Mrs Giselle lived here that I never did anything to the twins?"

"What good is it that I suddenly accuse you for no apparent reason? Leo, Calista, you've known me for a long time, I can't possibly lie to you, you better have a look in Rima's pocket and the evidence is probably still in one of her pockets."

Calista then stared intently at Rima, slowly moving his feet closer to Rima, Rima who now looked so frightened and took a knife nearby then pointed the knife at the three of them. "Don't come any closer to me or I'll kill you!!!" shouts Rima.

"Rima, why did you suddenly change like this?"

"You're Leo because you're the one who made me like this!"

"Five I don't understand what you're saying?"

"Yes you never understand because you always experience a happy life unlike me who lives full of pressure because of the actions of your parents!"

"Whatchu mean? Don't just be Rima! My parents never did anything bad to anyone!"

"That's you think! Don't you realize that your boay nature is down from your father who impregnated my mother and left her alone!" rima said while crying.

"Oh no." said Calista while holding her head.

"Don't talk recklessly you're Rima!"

"That's the reality! Do you remember when you were a kid in this house there was a maid named Kartika? It was my motheruuuu it was my motheruuu Leo and your father raped her until she became pregnant then she forcibly aborted the womb, even though my mother already had a husband and children! My father left us both because my mother was depressed because of your father!"

Leo was so surprised to hear Rima's confession, his feelings felt so chaotic, Guilt filled his heart. "I'm sorry Rima, I really don't know. On behalf of my parents I apologize to you."

"So you've apologized after all these years my mother and I lived in bitterness!"

"Then what do I have to do to make you forgive me and my parents?"

"I want to hurt your son Leo so you can see how it hurts to see our loved ones destroyed! I want to kill your children Leo!! shouts Rima.

"Five enough!" bentak Calista's.

"You why Calista? You want to defend your land-crocodile husband?"

"Enough you don't have to demonize Leo! He didn't even know his parents' past, why would he have to take the sin for a mistake he never committed? That's not fair Rima!"

"Then what should I do? I can't let you always live happily while my own life suffers so much!"

"But revenge is not the best way to solve the problem! Revenge will only cause endless new problems, you've grown up Rima, you should have realized that!" said Calista.

"Rima, please forgive me, forgive the actions of my parents, take me to your mother to apologize from her."

"Then tomorrow please take me to your mother's grave, I want to apologize that's all I can do to atone for my sin on you."

Calista then approached Rima who was still crying but now looked much calmer. "Rima, please forgive my husband, please forgive Leo and erase all your grudges against him because he knows nothing about his parents' past mistakes, and let him make amends for them on you."

"aaa.. What do you mean Calista?" ask Rima.

"Leo will take you as his sister, we will guarantee your life, if you want to go back to school to organize your future we will finance you."

"So you want to bribe me with the money you have to forget my past?"

"No one's going to tell you to forget your past, but can't we atone for my father's sin by doing good to you! Remember Rima, revenge will not solve the problem and will only cause endless new problems, now try to think if you kill our son, you kill our son, you'll go to jail and leave a grudge back at a later date."

Calista then hugged Rima who was now crying. "Please erase your grudge Rima. Please." said Calista as she hugged and clasped Rima's still crying hand.

"Consider our request to make peace and atone for the past sins of our two masters" Calista said again until Rima cried for a long time, eventually nodding.

"Thank you Rima, thank you, now you're part of our family" Calista said.

Giselle who had been silent and stood not far from Leo could only smile at the events before her. His heart was slightly sliced from hearing the events experienced by Rima's parents were a little similar to his past story with Leo.

"Leo I'm going into the room first."

"Yes Giselle."

But just now Giselle was about to step foot, suddenly her head felt so dizzy and made her fall. "Giselle, what's wrong with you?" leo asked while helping Giselle stand up.

"Just a little bit dizzy Leo."

"Oh yeah, you've just got Giselle's rest" Leo said as he looked at Calista.

Revan's driving his car in no direction. "Giselle where are you?" yell Revan.

'I'd better go to his house.' muttered Revan as he drove his car towards Giselle's house, but after arriving at Giselle's house, the house looked so quiet.

"Have they slept?"

"I'd better wait here until someone comes out of the house" said Revan, staring at Giselle's house.

Not feeling the day has changed, Revan even just realized if he is currently asleep in the car while stalking Giselle's house.

'Damn, it's morning, I better go to his house.' muttered Revan while getting out of the car.

After quite a while Revan knocked on the door, finally a middle-aged woman walked out of the house.

"Good morning ma'am, can I meet Giselle?"

"Oh Giselle? Sorry Giselle is not home, she is currently working out of Nak town" replied the middle-aged woman.

'Damn so he didn't come home.' said Revan.

"Good ma'am, then excuse me first."

"Yes, son."

Revan then got into the car with a very uncertain feeling. "You where Giselle is!!" revan shouted as he was already in his car.

"Oh yeah, isn't Giselle close to Calista? Maybe Giselle is at Leo's house right now" Revan said with a smile.
