One Empty

Firman held Vallen's hand which felt cold when he entered the hospital.

"Why are your hands so cold?"

"I'm nervous." replied Vallen grimacingly.

"Rumpy? Nervous why?"

"Remain because you're going to meet your parents. I'm actually a little scared."

The word is smiling too.

"Why should I be afraid? They won't bite you."

"Word, what if they don't like me?"

The word laughed too.

"What's the reason they rejected a daughter-in-law as beautiful and as good as you. Do not be afraid, there I am" said the Word while holding Vallen's hand tighter.

Vallen then glanced towards the Word with a smile. A few moments later they arrived at the room where the mother of Word was treated. Slowly the Word opened the door of the treatment room

"Let's go in" said Firman as he looked at Vallen.

Vallen nodded, then stepped into the room smiling at the couple in the room. They also seemed a little surprised to see the Word coming along with a woman.

"Mr, Mother, introduce this Vallen."

Vallen then approached the parents of the Word and then experienced it with a smile.

"You are beautiful, son." said the mother of Word while holding Vallen's face while she was in love.

"Firman, is he your lover?"

The Word smiled and then nodded. Both of his parents smiled while frowning. Vallen who was confused then looked at the Word with a question mark.

"Sir, Mother, why are you smiling like that? Look you've made Vallen confused." said the Word while chuckling.

"Word, we just didn't expect you'd get a girlfriend that fast, when you left we were really anxious for fear you'd fall. But in just a few months you've brought home this beautiful girl" said the mother of Word who made Vallen blush.

"Auntie could have."

"Where did you meet? Do you work in the same place?"

"We accidentally met Mom, and we don't work in the same place because we have different skills."

"God, did you meet by accident? Maybe you guys are really being a fool."

"It seems so Ma'am." replied Firman while glancing at Vallen who now increasingly looks wrong.

"Then what do you mean you have different skills, Word?" ask the Father of Word.

"Look sir, I'm an accountant and he's a doctor. Obstetrician. Our skills and our world are very different."

"Oh so you're a doctor?"

"Yes Aunty." replied Vallen while nodding.

"Vallen, didn't you choose the wrong lover?" ask Mother Word who made everyone in the room laugh.

Vallen smiled as he shook his head.

"Vallen come closer to me, son."

Vallen drew near to the mother of Word and sat by her bed. Mother Word then stroked Vallen's hair.

"Vallen, do you know the Word's past?"

"Yes Aunty, Vallen knows everything."

"So you know if the Word is a widower?"

Vallen nodded with a smile.

"Vallen, you're so beautiful and smart. Do you not dispute the status of the Word? He's just a widower, and we're not from among the people like you, son."

"Vallen never disputed all that Aunt because in undergoing the relationship, status or material is not important because the most important thing is to love each other and accept each other's shortcomings."

The two old men smiled.

"Thank you very much, son, you're a good and wonderful woman. You've been so sincere in love with the Word that so many have flaws."

"Yes Aunty." replied Vallen while nodding.

Vallen smiled, then he glanced at Firman who was now looking at his mother while frowning.

"One is empty" Vallen said with sign language through his hand.

"How did you feel after meeting my parents?" ask the Word on the way home.

"It's so happy, they're so good to me."

"Don't I tell you that they'll never turn down a daughter-in-law as pretty and as good as you."

"Gombal."

"Firman, in front of there is a mini market, please stop for a while, I want to buy snacks for later tonight, later tonight you have to accompany me to watch the drama again."

"Korean Dorm?"

"Not."

"Thank God."

"But Chinese drama. Haha."

"That's the same as Vallen."

"So you don't want to? If you don't want to I'll tell your parents if you've hurt me."

"You won Vallen."

"Of course, our score is still an empty one" Vallen said with a chuckle.

Firman then parked his motorcycle in front of a minimarket.

"Vallen I'm waiting outside yeah, one of my coworkers called me on the way, I'll call him back."

"Yes Firman." replied Vallen then entered the minimarket.

Firman then walked away from the parking area to a quieter spot to call his office friend.

Dimas which turned out to also be in the minimarket when buying diapers for Shakila was so happy to see Vallen in the minimarket. He looked at Vallen with a gaze so entranced as Vallen was picking out some snacks.

'Is that not the Word's lover? It just so happens that he is alone. I will try to approach him, who knows after we get acquainted he will be interested in me.' murmured Dimas while continuing to stare at Vallen.

"She's really very pretty and voluptuous" Dimas said as he walked towards Vallen confidently.

"Hi." said Dimas.

Hearing the voice of someone beside him, Vallen then shifted his gaze.

"Are you not the Word's lover?"

Vallen then nodded with a smile.

"Include me Dimas, can you..."

But not yet Dimas continued his words, Vallen had resigned.

"I'm sorry, I'm in a bit of a hurry" Vallen said, walking away from Dimas.

"That's arrogant!" murmured Dimas when he saw Vallen who was paying for his groceries at the cashier. When he saw Vallen coming out of the minimarket, Dimas also tried to intercept him.

"I mustn't waste this opportunity" Dimas said, trying to catch up with Vallen.

"Hi wait a minute, I just want to get to know you."

"Miss, wait a minute."

"Miss wait" Dimas said as he lined up Vallen's steps.

"I'm sorry I said that if I was busy, I was also with my girlfriend. I don't want him to think of anything because he sees me with other men."

"But Miss, I just want to get acquainted with you, can we talk for a moment."

Vallen also seemed to start to look emotional.

"Please don't bother me! Didn't I tell you I was in a hurry!" yelled Vallen who made Firman surprised while still busy calling his office friend.

"Let me call again" said Firman as he hung up. He then walked to the minimarket parking area and saw Vallen who was standing in front of Dimas with a look that looked so upset. Instantly the emotions of the Word also peaked.

"DIMAASSSS!!!" the Word cried so echoing. He then approached Dimas and raised his fist.
