“Thank you for your warm welcome during our time here, Sir Aldebaran. Especially for your kindness to let me be treated with the best care. Maybe, without your kindness I will not survive,” said Algol humbled himself, because he knew that Aldebaran was not willing.
“Sure. You have helped the population however, it is my duty to repay you,” he said.
Aldebaran glanced at Alpha. And the gerik can not be separated from the observation of Algol. Algol said lightly.
“Sir, I appreciate your concern for my captives. In order not to worry about you, sir, I will take good care of them so that they do not escape from us.”
Aldebaran knew Algol's true intention was to insinuate him who had instigated Alpha. However, he did not take a thought. Algol replied with an indifferent smile.
“Hopefully your journey is safe and enjoyable, Mr. Algol.”
“One more time thank you, Sir.”
Algol got on his horse. He nodded to Aldebaran and after that jerked the reins of his horse which then ran fast. His colleagues followed behind. Only Okul gives farewells other than Algol. As for Alpha, the young man even grinned who did not know what he meant to Aldebaran.
They crossed the quiet main road, so there was no need to lower the speed of the horse. Alpha had met the eyes of Margaret and Ferdinand, both of them looked at the small group until they were not caught in the eye again.
Algol ordered them to pass through the main streets to avoid an ambush from the ramplite. The trip home this time was accompanied by a lot of rest. Instead of nothing, Okul decided it because he thought about the condition of Algol's body that had not fully recovered. In fact, it was not only once their captain had a fever during the trip.
Twenty-eight days the fastest can be taken back and forth from Milky Way City to Mayall Village has been delayed to reach two months because of the incident in Bode City and the events that accompany it. It had been that long and they still had not reached the Milky Way.
“Today we stay in urban Andromeda City. Immediately find lodging before dark.” Okul. The order received a swift response from his colleagues.
Algol who was riding beside him approached Okul, aligning his horse to run in tandem with him. “I understand your sympathies, but you don't always have to care about me.”
“Do not slur, Captain. You have a fever again today. If we do not rest your condition will actually worsen.”
“I ba—”
“Please don't admit that you're okay. The last time you said that you fell off your horse from the heat. Anyway we will rest in this city until you are completely healed just continue the journey again.”
Hearing those words said firmly made Algol protest. Okul's right. That was why he could not refute the words of his vice-captain. After all, Okul is a stubborn person, he will not listen to his protests when he has made a decision.
Their area is still not the main city area, but still on the edge of the big city of Andromeda. However, even so the appearance of the city is not inferior to the main city itself. Luxurious and beautiful.
At the big crossroads there is always a clock tower decorated with light stones formed to resemble flowers. Stone benches are sculpted in an artistic style, not to forget also planted colorful light stones that sparkle during the day and glow beautifully at night. The streets are flat and clean, with iron-covered aqueduct holes with stars of various colors.
The crowd from the city is not to be questioned. The horse-drawn carriages carrying Mr and Mrs Kaya were not stopping back and forth. Pedestrians walking down the streets are almost always in slick clothes accompanied by a waiter in a fast suit who brings his master's goods.
The city of Andromeda really left a deep impression for Alpha and Ursa. Beautiful and luxurious are not enough to satisfy their lips in mentioning the beauty of the city of the nobles and important people. Elegantly. Grand. Marvellously. All that they are assembled with the word wah every find an object that spoils the eye.
“Hei! Don't embarrass us by acting like that!” reprimand Kraz with an amused voice.
“Mr. Kraz, you may mock us, but this city is truly amazing!” exclaim Alpha does not mind being judged a village.
“I'll bet that you will gawk if you see the main city,” said Diphda no less anxious. “Originally you know, the main city is very, very luxurious.”
“We're going there?” ask Ursa interested.
“Only pass,” sahut Okul brief. He turned his horse instead of the main road, which made Kraz ask because they had to find lodging. “We go to the stables first to leave the horse,” he replied to his partner's astonishment.
“It looks like you already know a place, Okul,” said Diphda.
“Yes. Because I've been here a few times for some business. The owner of this stables I know well.”
“Indeed, lodging here does not provide stables? Though luxurious like this.”
“Although this city looks luxurious, but still a suburb, Alpha. The facilities are of course different from the main city,” explained Diphda.
Okul leads them to a not-so-large stables that are still on the outskirts of the city. The horse stables that did not have so much space were clad in wood that looked worn out, but still looked sturdy. The ground floor is clean. In front of the stables were two horses.
Okul got off his horse. He walked towards the house which was right beside the stables. The front of the house is a wooden room with large windows that are wide open. There is a price board that shows the cost of horse care there. Okul knocked loudly, making the young man who was standing guard in the room jerk up.
The young man who turned out to be an ordinary man smiled widely. He awkwardly greeted Okul stammered. “Welcome and good afternoon, Sir,” said with a professional smile that unfortunately failed.
“Deimos. Is your Master around?”
“Mr. Sinope is outside, sir. He took the streets pelang—ah horse! Look behind you! He just came back,” said Deimos exclaiming loudly. He waved his hand at his master. “Mister! Sir Okul came to visit!” his yell.
“Yes! I knew! I can see for myself!” sahut the man who just got off the brown stallion. He led the horse into the stables. Soon the man from the ordinary human class approached the team of Okul and Deimos. “For a long time, sir. How are you?”
“Good news, Mr. Sinope. I need your help.”
“With the horses, right? I-i understand. Are they all your colleagues? And you want to leave them all?”
“Ya.”
“Good! I can get a lot of house rent from you!” semringah.
Okul replied with a wry smile. “Sorry, Mr. Sinope, but this time I was forced to ask for your generosity.”
“Before that introduce first, this is my captain, Mr. Algol Perseus.”
Mr. Sinope shook Algol's extended hand. “It's nice to meet you, sir. You have great men,” he said referring to Okul. However, after releasing Algol's hand Sinope's old face wrinkled deeper into his wrinkles.
Seeing the reaction Okul immediately spoke. “As you feel, Mr. Sinope. My captain is suffering from a high fever. We need lodging and a doctor to treat it. But, since we are returning from our money mission is not much.”
Mr. Sinope nodded in understanding. “That means you are asking for a discount?”
Okul nodded.
“I don't mind. Only if you qualify me.”
“As long as we can fulfill it, Mister, we don't mind,” said Algol.
“I've been a little busy lately. I can't let Deimos take care of all the horses alone, especially with the discounted fee, so I want you to replace the discounted price with the help of power,” said Mr. Sinope.
“Good. We don't mind. How many people do you need?”
“Two people are enough, Sir Captain.”
Algol agreed. “Alpha. Ursas. You guys will help at stables as long as we're here.”
“Ehh?! Why should we?!” he cried in disbelief.
“Why, you say? Of course it's okay. That task suits you. Don't forget your position,” said Kraz jail with a big smile.
Alpha pouted hearing the verdict. Ursa is just kalem. He could have guessed from the beginning that they were the ones who would be sacrificed.
“Thank you, Mr.Sinope.”
“No need to thank, Vice Captain. It is an equal exchange. He does not help us, but only runs his business,” said Alpha Congkol.
Seeing Alpha's disrespectful attitude made Kraz anxious to hit the seventeen-year-old's head. And yes, Kraz did it so hard that Alpha fell forward. Luckily, Alpha had to maintain its balance until it did not fall. However, it made the magic crystal necklace hidden behind his shirt flung out.
Alpha and Ursa were surprised by this, their eyes widened because the Alpha necklace was flashing light. Ursa silently looked inside her clothes. The necklace reacts the same.
‘The necklace is luminous.. that means there are our villagers near here!’ pekik Ursa in the heart.
“Oh! Young man, you have a nice necklace,” said girang Mr. Sinope holding and observing Alpha's necklace. “It's a fetish necklace, right?”
“Ya..” Reply Alpha ogled. He was trying to disguise his shocked face. He didn't want Algol or anyone from his team to be suspicious of the necklace.
“Hm, I've expected. It's exactly like your necklace, Deimos,” continued Mr. Sinope. He brought Deimos closer and pulled out a similar necklace from behind his worker's shirt. “Nah, right. Your voice is also on.”
Ursa, Alpha and Deimos look at each other. They are aware of the situation. And as much as possible the three suppressed their shock.
“Ah, correct. It must be made from the same material,” Deimos said after they fell silent for an awkward period of time.
“Ya, yes! Surely so! Did you also get it from a southern trading company, Deimos? Since we got it also from them after we helped them with a little bit of a small thing,” Ursa said quickly.
“No, you're wrong. Deimos told me that the necklace was an inheritance from his parents. That's why he took great care of her. Is that right, Deimos?”
“Errrr... There you have it, Mister,” he replied to Mr. Sinope.
Ursa delicts a plan for cooperation to fool the origins of their magical crystal necklace. He glanced at Alpha. Wishing the young man could come up with an unthinkable idea that could save them. Unfortunately Alpha was already out of panic and only anxiety filled him.
“I searched around for the person who sold the necklace, but I couldn't find it, while you guys could easily. Surprisingly again, the necklace lit up suddenly, without any tricks. What kind of fetish necklace is it?” ask Mr. Sinope.
“Ah!” Ursa exclaims. Although he still had not thought of the idea to kelit, but he felt the need to do that so that they did not put more suspicion on their necklaces that were still lit. “What do you think, Deimos?” ask Ursa who failed to think of a way.
“It...”
Deimos could not give an excuse. After the one word he said earlier he just muttered indistinctly without a word coming out. Ursa, Alpha, and Deimos feel the atmosphere is getting heavier.
It actually makes people put on a curious look more clear. Except for Mr. Sinope, none of them knew that Alpha or Ursa's necklace was glowing. This was also the first time they had seen a crystal necklace instead of a light stone could simply light up, even when it was in a still light place.
Ursa swallowed her saliva. ‘Wire!’ inner worried.
