Warrior Terminator
The Quiet Night

“A ramplite helped you? Haha. Don't joke,” scorn Kraz. Laughter flat.

“The problem, Mr. Kraz, I'm sure the one who helped us was a ramplite. Group one, it seems like the top tier as well. He received an attack that should have been aimed at us.” Ursa reemphasized. “This is weird. Even I don't believe it,”.

Algol coded Kraz not to prolong the debate. If that's what Ursa remembers then that's how it is. He was not the type to tell silly lies for no reason.

Algol ordered them to spend the night in the village. Ursa proposed that they would sleep in lodges instead of in houses. Although no man should not they enter carelessly, he said.

Because at the lodge where Ursa grew up had six beds in each room, they only slept in one room, which was the room owned by Ursa first. Again the young man used a pretext because he was the only remaining host who could allow them to use the room. Ursa turned out to be so polite and conservative, the minds of all of them except Alpha who had known her since childhood.

“Being here makes me remember the past. Many memories suddenly popped into my head,” Alpha said suddenly. He could not sleep so decided to chat with Ursa.

“I too. While sleeping here made me think of my roommates,” Ursa replied. “By the way, Alpha, the bed you slept in belongs to Arta.”

“Wah..” Alpha grinned later. “If he knew he must be upset. Me and him are hard to get along.”

“True too. Arta cut your hair first and you beat him to a pulp. You were so childish back then, Alpha.”

“I am still a child,” grunts.

“I was curious, how are Arta and the others. After seeing Joa I became convinced that our friends had become very strong.”

“Arta in the first rank. Then there's Sega, me, Youis, Gage, you, Joa and last time Sendi. That was our last rank before the village was attacked. But now, maybe we are both at the bottom,” said Alpha.

“Sorry, but I'm seventh and you're last, Alpha.”

“Huh? Why that?”

“You are still not aware also of your own condition, yes?” ursa is tired. “You, Alpha, haven't really progressed since we were detained at military headquarters. All the exercises you have done so far have not made you stronger, but only restored your condition as before.”

“You mean?”

“After we wake up somehow because of what condition your body decreased quite drastically. Your speed, agility, strength, endurance and stamina are much lower than before the attack took place. You don't realize it because you feel progress every time you practice, but unfortunately it's not development, but only self-recovery.

I can feel it clearly because my development is better than yours, when I should be a little below you. If we fight one on one now then I'm sure I'm the one who won.”

“I did feel strange with my body after I woke up from unconsciousness that time. I thought it was only a wound, because I had never been hurt that badly before.”

“Or is that the effect of that blinding white light you saw? After all, you said you were very affected by that, right?” sergeant Ursa. He almost stood up from his sleeping position.

“How about you? Do you also feel the effects of that darkness you saw, Ursa?”

Ursa. “I don't feel anything strange with my body,” he replied.

“That means not because of the side effects of the blinding white light I saw back then,” Alpha concluded.

“But of course. Because we still do not remember what happened on that day exactly so we still can not be sure of all the possibilities. And maybe it's not impossible.”

“You're right..”

They stopped talking. Each of them went back to digging up their memories of the attack that day. Unfortunately, over and over again, their memories stuck to the same event.

The ramplites attacked from the west side of the village, which was the most likely side, but it was only a mere lure because they had prepared another attack from the unexpected east side of the village. Ruckus occurs. Friends who were with them went straight to the village to help, while Ursa helped Alpha who slipped in the ravine. As they ascended the ravine they fought with the waiting ramplite, then their memories were cut off there.

‘Confusing... What exactly did we see back then? And why would a ramplite help us?’ ursa's mind before slowly falling asleep.

...*** ...

The night is getting late. Cold air penetrated the skin, even though it was warmed with a small bonfire in front of him a young man with silvery white hair still needed to rub his hands into his bent legs. Several times he also exhaled warm steam from his mouth into the palm to increase the temperature. Unfortunately, these things don't help much. The cold still covers it.

Of course, because he was currently in the middle of the forest. High and dense trees and wetlands surrounded it. The dark surrounding scenery and the sounds of the night animals actually add to the night is increasingly gripping and cold.

“Use this.”

A man threw his moss green coat at the young boy. Which was easily captured. The young man frowned, not liking.

“I don't need, Sir. You, wear. Your clothes are thinner than mine,” rejected it while throwing the coat back over the campfire. But again the coat was thrown at the young man. “Sir.”

“Arta, right, your name was? Don't underestimate me just because I'm older than you. Even though my clothes are thin or I do not cover my body I will not hurt just because of the cold,”.

Arta observed the man she met by accident this afternoon. Since then, the man has been following her. But the man who claimed to be named Pyxis did not bother at all, in fact he helped him defeat the ramplite. Arta also felt no bad signal from him, so he concluded that the man was not a bad person, only someone mysterious.

Arta glanced at Pyxis. The man soon realized.

“What's up? If there's anything you think about me just say it,”.

“Sir, you admit that you are a wanderer, but from the clothes you wear it does not reflect that you are one of them.”

In response to the comment, Pyxis immediately looked at the clothes he was wearing. Not gross. Neatest. Elegantly. And pretty fancy.

“Equately wrong. If you're a wanderer, your clothes should tell more about your adventures. Instead of a wanderer you look like Mr. Rich lost in the forest,” Arta quipped.

Pyxis smiled knot. “You can't judge a person just by looking at his clothes, Nak—”

“Don't call me that! I'm not a kid and you're not old either!”

“Alright, Arta—I will call you like that,”. “Although my clothes are like this but I've had a lot of fights. My experience cannot be underestimated.”

“Then... do you buy new clothes every time your clothes are tattered?”

“No. In fact, I never buy clothes because my clothes are never damaged in a fight. Here and there I am a strong man,” said Pyxis, who, although without any emphasis at all, seemed so sure.

“You may be strong, but I know a stronger person than you.”

“Ho. I'm curious. Who's it?”

Arta smiled obliquely. With a conceited he replied, “Because that person is an ace then I cannot say it. Too bad, Sir.”

...*** ...

In the darkness of the night, it appears that someone is watching the situation closely. The darkness that lay before him did not bother him at all. With great care his eyes rolled swiftly assessing the situation. Then with the movement of his hand he gave a code for the people behind him to walk immediately.

“Walk straight at eleven o'clock, every six kilometers there will be a soldier who will tell you the way,” whispered when the first person passed by. The information was answered with a nod of understanding. “Alright, from now on I'm handing over the population to you, Warrior.”

“You can count on me, Guardian Sega.”

Sega continued to signal that the villagers continued to follow the footsteps of the soldier while continuing to observe the situation around. About twelve of them with three escorting soldiers had passed by and were walking according to orders. He sighed in relief.

“One group has been successfully rescued, now just look for other residents.”

Taps.

A pat on the shoulder made the young man stunned. Sega felt calm when he knew that the one who touched him was none other than his fellow Guardian.

“Youis.”

“Don't force yourself, Sega. You should rest too. If you work too hard and even fall will cause problems later,” said Youis suggested.

“Good. Youre right. But, first we have to find a safe place for rest that the soldiers will not find easily,” Sega replied.

“Send me! I've marked the safe places in this Cigar City.”

And so it was, with Youis leading their way through the western region of Cigar City which was close to the Darkotry realm. The young man took the winding but safe streets from the pursuit of the soldier who was after them.

On the way they meet two friends, Gage and Kirimi, those of the ordinary human class told that the road that would be taken by them turned out to have been intercepted by several low-level one-group ramplites. The four of them joined into one small group and looked for another way.

Armed with the knowledge of Youis they eventually returned to Cigar City, but not to a quiet place, but a small settlement located on the outskirts of the city. Youis had the acquaintance of an old woman who owned a spacious house. The old woman was very kind and trustworthy. Despite knowing that Youis was a suspicious person but he never reported it to the local soldiers. Youis introduced her friends and they were allowed to stay there for the night but had to leave before sunrise.

“We are lucky because sometimes still meet when running errands.”

“But not for Arta and Joa. They always travel the farthest. They do not hesitate to enter dangerous territory just to get information that is not necessarily true,” reply Sega to the words of Gage.

“After parting ways with Arta I've only met her twice. That was two years ago,” said Youis. “I've seen Joa a few times too. Sometimes we are involved in a cooperation, but it is also not often.”

“Seeing the two of them is always envious, isn't it?” Gage revealed what he felt. “I mean, come on. We are not weak and we always do as much as we can, but they both, Arta and Joa, they always make efforts that go beyond their means.”

“And it makes us also encouraged to do more,” continued Youis.

“Knowing they are alive and fighting for the village alone is a great relief, but on the other hand we know absolutely nothing about Alpha and Ursa. Whether they are alive or dead. Where they are and how they are. And what they are doing right now. It's a pity we don't know anything about that,” said the only girl in the room, Sendi.

“I don't know about the two of them, but at least I'm sure that they're alive,” said Sega reassuringly.

“Of course!” Youis quickly replied. All we're talking about is Alpha. He will not die that easily even if his life is at the tip of the horn.”

“And he was also with the clever Ursa. Ursa must have always kept them both out of trouble,” Gage added.

Sendi smiled in relief at the trust of her friends to the two of them who were out of nowhere now. “May they be well. Likewise with Arta and Joa,” murmured full of hope and prayer.
