Okul who heard Luxco's words again repeated it. “Taxes that carry a threat... what does that mean?”
“Every time I visited a place he had been to I found that it must have suffered damage, whether big or small, as if he always fought wherever he was. That's why he becomes a threat to anyone he comes to,” explained Luxco.
While they were talking about Enceladus, Alpha instead circulated his gaze with a pale face. He didn't find anyone who should be with them.
“Hei...! Where is Ursa? Where is he?”
Just realizing that, they were all looking for the remnants of the destroyed settlement. All the houses were almost as flat as the ground, except in the northern part of the village which was farthest from the source of the explosion. Suddenly tense atmosphere.
“Didn't one of you be with him? All the places are flat with the ground.. If Ursa does not take refuge with the power of light then that means he..” Alpha has no power to continue the sentence.
Blars!
There was an explosion from the ground not far from where they had gathered. The light then appeared. People from the settlements one by one began to emerge from within their underground hiding places. One of the residents ran quickly towards them.
“Ursa!” diphda's screams are full of relief.
Alpha's turning. He's grateful. He thought that his best friend might have been killed.
“Everything! I'm glad you guys survived!” exclaim Ursa happy. Then after seeing the rest of the tension on their faces, especially Alpha, he again said, “When the explosion occurred I went into the basement because I happened to be near there. There were four soldiers in the underground evacuation and two soldiers who were rescued by Ms. Diphda. The soldiers used the power of their light so that the ground above did not landslide due to the explosion, so we survived.”
“Thank God,” says Diphda.
Ursa noticed all of them, which though full of wounds but not serious, except one person. “Captain Algol!”
Like a warning they immediately surrounded Algol. The man was still dying helplessly. Blood still seeped out from his numerous wounds.
“Alpha, how did the Captain get like this?” Kraz asked.
“We both faced Enceladus. When I came back after being thrown away by him Mr. Algol is unconscious.”
“Enceladus?” Ursa parrots.
“Someone who intervened in this fight. He who made Anser like that,” pointed Diphda at Anser's corpse.
Ursa. Judging from the results of his actions alone he can judge what kind of person Enceladus is. Plus he can beat Algol to that extent.
“The injury is very serious. If he doesn't get help he'll die before sunrise,” Luxco said after checking on Algol. He looked at the forest around them and was disappointed. “The forest near here doesn't seem to have many helpful medicinal plants. We have to take him to the city to get the right help.”
“No vehicles or rides. It's also impossible to carry her all the way to the city since you're all injured. As for me, even though I was fast, I could not survive running around full night while carrying a seriously injured person,” Ursa said.
“Sial! If only one horse had survived the explosion!” furious Diphda.
Alpha jerking. The horse! Aye! The animal is fast and strong!
“I can make it,” says Alpha.
The others were confused, and then Ursa asked. “You've mastered your horse mimicry technique, Alpha? I don't think you've ever made it.”
“And you always fall off your horse,” Kraz added.
Alpha does not deny it.
“When Luxco was riding my horse and I was behind I realized something,” Alpha said. “It turns out that all four legs of the horse were lifted simultaneously from the ground in his first jump when he was about to run fast, as long as I tried the mimicry technique I didn't know it and I thought he was moving with two feet first. I also recently learned that the underside of the horseshoe has a unique shape that serves as a shock absorber for its legs. Maybe because I didn't apply it when I tried the mimicry technique that kept me from failing.”
“That doesn't change the fact that you've never made it,” said Diphda.
“But, if I don't try it and it works then there's no other way to save Captain Algol,”. He smiled widely then. “At the moment I am very confident with myself—”
“And when you're in that condition you can do everything you think,” Ursa serobot.
“Tap.”
Alpha retreats and takes distance. The young man took a deep breath and with full concentration he directed both his hands forward. A whitish blue glow of his was bursting, slowly resembling the Alpha's earlier stallion. Alpha hasn't opened his eyes yet. His forehead is very deep.
‘The horse has big round eyes. Not color blind. His teeth took a bigger place in his head than his brain. Because it's male, so the total teeth are 40. The number of bones is 205. Do not forget the unique. And all four of his legs were raised together when he was about to run.’
Alpha is seriously remembering. Then he opened his eyes. “Delta Velorum : Mimicry!”
The horse from the light that Alpha created neighed violently with two legs raised forward. Although it is created from the whitish blue light belonging to Alpha, but the horse has a different blend of blue, making it very beautiful. Everyone's faces changed. Alpha grinned satisfied.
“Successful!” his yell.
He hurried on the horse. Alpha patting his head. He praised the horse in his ear as if talking to the original horse that had died.
“Quick, bring the Captain here.”
“It's really strong carry two people at once?” tanya Okul still a little doubt. He did not immediately raise Algol's dying body on horseback.
Okul raises Algol's body on horseback. He nodded at the young man. “Send Captain to you, Alpha.”
“Ya!” answer Alpha steady. ‘Four feet jerking together!’ he said inwardly.
And with one loud jolt to his body the horse galloped away leaving them all behind. In the deep darkness a beautiful blue light shot through the black night accompanied by a powerful echoing foot, inviting admiration every who saw it. Making Alpha like a great knight of fairyland.
“How about the resident, Mr. Okul?” Ursa asked.
“We'll take them to the city too, that's the only option.”
So the five of them approached the inhabitants and explained their intentions. There was a debate with the residents because they did not want to return to the city that had thrown them away. Not to mention they would not be welcomed by the two factions in the city. They feel a dilemma.
“Isn't there another way?” asked a middle-aged woman in despair.
“You can live anywhere in Bode City, but that will not help you because you need medicine, food and shelter. The only way is to ask it to the royal representative in Bode.” City
The faces of the residents looked so clear. They began to mutter the injustice they would experience if they returned to the city. Luxco sighed seeing that.
“Don't spoiled! After all, once you are not accepted by the people in the city, you are still able to build settlements around them which is safer than staying away in the perilous suburbs.” Luxco said firmly.
“But, sir, their treatment of us is very bad. You can see it for yourself, though you report that this settlement is in danger but only a few soldiers are sent.”
“At least they have a little attention on you guys. Somehow, if you insist on fighting for your rights then the powerful will glance at you, with good or bad views. One thing I know is that you will benefit more when you approach the city. With a note you will not just be silent treated unfairly.”
“You do not understand, Sir... compared to other cities of this city—”
“I don't understand? Just be right! I understand more than anyone how the cities of this country are. As long as you know, I come from Mayall Village, just by mentioning that village you can already imagine what kind of treatment we can get,” Luxco said exasperatedly.
“They, the soldiers have protected you, have thought of your ways to stay afloat, don't just shut up and complain. If you want to live a good life move on your own and do not continue to rely on others. I'll help you guys escort the trip. Who is willing to come with me please follow, who does not.. I do not care,” continued Luxco with a chuckle.
The residents looked at each other, still accompanied by turmoil.
“So, that's how it is. We are basically not warriors from this city, only so far we can do for you guys. We also have to go to the city. Want to come with us or not it's your decision,” said Ursa a little more gently.
Although still with half-baked intentions they finally began to follow Luxco who walked first. One by one, several groups, only then did they all flock.
“Nighttime travel is not safe. Quietly or overtly. The chances of us being attacked by the ramplite will not decrease. Therefore, for those of you who can use the power of light please make lighting so that our view is clear!” kraz's orders.
“Ya.”
“Good.”
Circles of light with various colors float in the air like lanterns. The lights were more than enough to accompany their journey.
“If anyone is injured or exhausted to the difficulty of walking immediately report! Don't put this trip in the way!” Dipha announced his decree.
“Good!”
“We understand.”
With Luxco leading the way and other soldiers escorting on the flanks of the refugees they traveled on foot. The party did not move quickly, but they did not stop even once. Because if they stop and rest it will be difficult to move themselves back to walking. It's okay to force themselves all night as long as they'll be fine later.
“True that population will be nothing?” Ursa asked worriedly.
“Where maybe they're okay. After getting their calamities and settlements exterminated, they still had to face pressure from the city people, they also had to think about how to survive. It will cost them a lot. If their calm was chaotic and panic began to spring up then they would fall into despair. The impact of that war was not only physical injury and death, but much greater than that,” Kraz said.
“Then, how?”
“It is likely that we will be in the city long enough, until the condition of the Captain recovers. During that time the displaced residents will at least get attention. After that, it was an affair within their own city. We can't interfere,” Okul explained.
Ursa looked at the residents with a pushy look. He sympathizes with them. If they were just that, then the residents of his village would have more difficulty, thought the ordinary human youth.
