The Village Girl And the Fox Prince

The Village Girl And the Fox Prince
Chapter 7 - A Little Withered.

The cold wind in the morning made the sleep of a girl lying on the sofa so disturbed. The fingers of his feet coming out of the blanket looked shivering. With her eyes closed, Hazel pulled her legs into the blanket.

Plus a ray of sunlight that shone down his face from the gap of the tenuous wooden wall, requiring him to open his eyes. His forehead slowly frowned, trying to receive the dazzling light stimulation.

After his eyelids had opened perfectly, he immediately looked around, only to realize that he was on the sofa. The place where Lynx lay last night.

As Hazel changed her position to sit up, she looked dazed. His head turned to the right and left quickly, like looking for something uneasily. He hurriedly grabbed the blanket that was still covering him.

Climbing cold and damp wood floors. Hazel was looking for where the man was. The severe injuries Lynx had sustained last night made Hazel a little worried that the man was desperate to leave.

As her legs crept into the kitchen, Hazel was a little taken aback as her body was poking around with a well-built man. And that's the Lynx he's looking for.

“Oh, you're awake apparently. I just wanted to wake you up to have breakfast together,”, Lynx said as she put a sweet smile on her handsome face.

Hazel stared at Lynx from top to bottom without being missed. There was a slight sense of calm when it came to knowing that Lynx was not leaving the house. He insisted yesterday that he wanted the man to disappear from his life.

Seeing that the clothes the man was wearing were tight. Moreover, the wounds on Lynx's body were still wet and seemed to be so painful. It grew more worry in his heart.

As if knowing the meaning of how to look at the girl, Lynx immediately spoke to explain, “Sorry to have taken this shirt for me to wear. Because if you wandered around naked, wouldn't you be angrier?”

Hazel's lips carved out a faint smile. “Tak what. For a while, just wear what is. Wait for me to get a job, I will buy my own cloth and sew it for you.”

Lynx seemed happy when she heard it, so that her pointed ears and long, bushy tail came out naturally. Wiggling merrily with his cheerful smile.

“Wow, it turns out you are good at sewing.”

Hazel rubbed her nape with a look that had been shifted in any direction, a little embarrassed. “I'm not smart. But I'll try. Buying men's clothes is very expensive. So I thought about making it myself. Because you can't possibly force yourself to wear such tight clothes.”

Boldly Lynx walked over to Hazel, embracing the girl's shoulder to lead her into the kitchen. Intend to chat while having breakfast at the dinner table.

“Not good keep standing there. The food I made will be cold. Therefore, while it is warm, you must eat it,” Lynx said in between her footsteps.

Hazel can only follow where Lynx took her. Clearly he felt a thrilling feeling that was sticking up unpredictably.

Just because an embrace might mean nothing to the man, but to Hazel who from the beginning was very sensitive to the touch of the opposite sex, his actions made his heart respond with an abnormal pounding.

His hands were large and warm, and Hazel could feel a sense of protection from the man. Before far away he thought of the no-no, his head first shook his head to brush off the thought.

“Tadaa ... I made a grilled fish from my catch yesterday. Hows it? Doesn't that seem appetizing?” Lynx proudly showed off the results of her cooking to Hazel.

Hazel's bright brown eyes rolled quickly, looking at this morning's breakfast menu that did look tantalizing. Perhaps it was because it had not eaten a large portion of fish for a long time, so Hazel repeatedly gulped.

“I didn't think you could cook. Haven't you always been making trouble since yesterday? It's an amazing upgrade,” praise Hazel.

Lynx scratched her temple, her gaze moving quickly, avoiding eye contact with Hazel. “Y-yes that's right. Actually I'm not sure what it's like because it's my first time. Plus, I almost burned this house down because of my sloppy nature.”

Hearing the last sentence that came out of Lynx's mouth, Hazel's eyes suddenly puffed up. Almost out of place because he was surprised.

“But calm,” cut Lynx quickly, he tried to cool off Hazel's almost ignited anger. “Didn't I say it was close? I can confirm that it won't happen again.”

Long breath Hazel let out. He tried to control himself, not to be overstepped and even hurt the man again.

The girl's head bowed, the two hands that were clinging to the table looked agitated. “Hei, Lynx. For yesterday, I'm sorry. Really, I just..”

“It's okay. It wasn't your fault. I was wrong, and I realized my mistake. After all this has happened, I will try to do even better,” Lynx replied gently.

The words calmed down Hazel's troubled feelings a little. Hazel herself does not understand her own feelings. Maybe it's because it's been lonely for too long in a sad situation, so Hazel thinks living with a trouble-making fox like Lynx isn't so bad.

“For now, let's eat first,” Lynx's word with a full mouth, he had already devoured his food greedily.

Throughout the meal, the two of them did not engage in any conversation. Just looking at each other once in a while, it was no more than five seconds. They look awkward.

Hazel just realized something. Throughout his mouth chewing, he did not feel pain or pain as he felt last night. Though the wounds near his mouth and cheeks have not healed, but now it feels nothing.

Wanting to be sure, Hazel touched her own face. Feel the smooth surface without getting any pain there. When examining the forehead protruding from yesterday's impact wound, Hazel was surprised to find nothing there.

Lynx who saw the girl's behavior, quietly reviewed the smile. Then he propped up his chin, looking at Hazel more closely. “You with a smooth face it looks beautiful once.”

Hazel tilted her face, feeling confused. “A-what do you mean?”

Lynx's body inched from the chair, picking up something hanging on the wall. “Need mirror?” And then he handed it to the girl.

Upon seeing his own face, Hazel gaped in disbelief. All the purplish bruises on his face disappeared without a trace. To make sure this was a dream or not, Hazel repeatedly patted her cheek.

The pain of the claps he did was the answer that none of this was a dream.

Lynx laughed softly. “How about I tell you I healed your wounds? Are you going to believe it?”

Without thinking, Hazel nodded her head. “Why not? I've seen for myself that you're the incarnation. It is only natural that creatures like you can do things that ordinary humans cannot?”

The man nodded in agreement. “It's true. I have a special ability to heal the wounds of others. But for wounds on the body itself, I can't do it.”

Hazel thought for a moment. He remembered that he had other wounds on his body. He thinks Lynx can cure him.

“Honestly, I'm still curious about your origins and what your life background looks like. But for now, can you treat the wounds on my body? I have to find a job in the near future, so I need a healthy body to work,” pinta Hazel a little embarrassed.

“Sure. I can do it easily. Just show me your wound. But don't be surprised after knowing how I treated the wound.”

Hazel, who doesn't know how Lynx treated his wounds last night, feels that what he's going to do is not easy. And now Lynx was already getting out of the chair, walking up to her with a hard to decipher gaze.

“Which body parts should I treat?”
