The Village Girl And the Fox Prince

The Village Girl And the Fox Prince
Chap 52 - Not a Priority.

Waiting until Jack completely closed his eyes, rested quietly, as long as Princess Ren held back the cry that was ready to collapse from the eye crackers. Her chest was tight, but still forced to keep looking fine.

After the long-haired man closed his eyes, about five minutes still faithfully sitting beside the bed, Princess Ren did not take his eyes off Jack's handsome face at all.

It still seems unexpected, today he must accept the fact that a man who is loved is impossible for him to achieve. It's hard, and it's impossible. The only way, Princess Ren must give up her love that has not yet bloomed.

Realizing that there was a woman who stopped in Jack's heart, Princess Ren felt very envious. I wonder what that woman looks like. But hearing that the woman could not be found, is it possible that her existence is dead in this world?

Slowly his wiggly fingers were raised, closing in on Jack's face. Just once, yes just once and maybe for the last, Princess Ren wanted to touch that pale complexion.

Loving the smooth surface of the skin without scars, his index finger dropped touching both of Jack's lips that looked dry. In that second Princess Ren's tears spilled, falling unstoppable again.

Raising her body slightly, Princess Ren stood half-body while leaning her face on Jack's forehead. Giving a brief kiss there, in the heart even Princess Ren spoke something.

“I love you, Jack. Let me touch you one last time,” Princess Ren whispered as quietly as possible, hoping that Jack who was in the subconscious did not hear it.

After doing that, Princess Ren rushed away from inside the room. Tidying up his robe, covering his head with a cloak hood. Walk down in a hurry.

Princess Ren should have come home later after the situation here began to improve, in the sense that the Foxion Kingdom could already be said to be in a safe zone. There were still many things she wanted to do, but after hearing the painful statement earlier, Princess Ren chose to go home alone.

Imagining himself having to keep pretending to be nothing, incarnating as someone who has no feelings for the man, is very painful. Princess Ren gave up, for a while she did not want to meet Jack.

Walking towards the main door of the palace, Princess Ren had already said goodbye to King Arandelle. Without telling anyone else, Princess Ren left and asked the bodyguards who accompanied her to take her home.

Meanwhile, Jack who is considered to have fallen asleep without knowing anything that actually happened with Princess Ren, it turns out he was just playing a show. Jack was fully conscious, just competing as if he were asleep.

Opening his eyes slowly, Jack touched the clear hairs that flowed down his cheeks. It is cold and can feel it is a painful tear. The departure of Princess Ren, leaving tears that have not dried up.

“Did I just hurt her heart?” Jack muttered in a daze, still in shock at what he had heard just now.

Because actually Jack had realized from Princess Ren's gaze that made him confused and the question posed by the girl sounded a little strange. And after hearing what he was whispering just before leaving, Jack finally found out what Princess Ren's heart was.

Astounded.

The man forgot how to breathe. Even until this moment his chest felt thumping, not because he felt happy after knowing there was a girl who wanted to love him, especially she was the Princess Royal. But there was a sudden feeling of pain in there.

But he had no regrets at all about having acknowledged the truth before Princess Ren. Jack felt it was the right way to let the girl know, that the man she loved was not the man she deserved.

This incident makes Jack brought back to the painful memories that had long been quiet and buried deep. Unfortunately, the painful memories cannot be lost. The pain is like a part of him.

Hitting his head repeatedly, Jack started sobbing. His breathing began to falter. Memories like broken tapes are constantly spinning in memory without being asked. Slowly eroding his senses back.

“Jeanna. Hikss..”

The man with the codet wound next to his right eye had just regained consciousness from his stupor, he looked puzzled. His eyes glanced in any direction, realizing that he was lying in his own room.

“You're up?”

The voice ... Sounds familiar.

Still trying to gather consciousness, Prince San leaned his body against the bed rest. Sitting while looking at the back of the woman who was standing facing the window glass.

“Abunda?”

The woman in a striking red dress turned her head, anyone could see that the expression she made showed deep irritation.

“I'm disappointed in you, San!” she said fiery as she clenched both hands, her body walking closer to her son.

“How can you lose one step from Lynx?! I've heard that the crown prince's inauguration has been pushed back, your father suddenly changed his mind. What do you think it's because? The son of the traitor must be trying to find a loophole!”

San lowered his head, playing his fingers that were clinging to his thighs. “I've tried, Mom. But Father..”

“I don't want to hear that!” cut it, this time he's already ruffled the waist. “Do not lose, San! You are from childhood I fought desperately to be able to seize that position. Don't because you don't have the same eyes as Lynx, you're being pessimistic like this!”

Feeling annoyed at being lectured like that, San then clucked while raising a look of despair. “Why, Mom? Why are you always crazy about the throne? Without me being King, we can still stay in this palace.”

Walking in haste, Queen Emely — birth mother of Prince San, landed a loud slap without hesitation. “You think that's my only goal? Don't be naive, San! Open your eyes and mind! Don't be too comfortable with your current position.”

“Remember, we didn't meet your father's expectations. You were once proud of him and your power was acknowledged by everyone. But now, after Lynx has demonstrated her abilities that other fox demons do not, sooner or later you will be eliminated!”

Taking a slow breath, Queen Emely tried to act calm. “War with the Kingdom of Maggie will take place soon, on the night before the war later please do not disappoint me.”

“... Show me that you're the best and the greatest, prove that Lynx is nothing more than you. It's the only way your dad's gonna look at you again. Understood?!”

San silent a thousand languages. Really, I really want to rebel. But what power? What he is facing right now is his own mother. Women who have sacrificed a lot for him, even always make sure that San gets the best place in any case, even if they have to put aside Sen — twin brother himself.

But because of that, now her mother asks for a reward. Many burdens and expectations that San must bear, one of which fulfills the wishes of his mother who asks San to be the successor to the Kingdom of Foxion.

“You are silent I consider to agree. Remember, don't let me down,” press Queen Emely before deciding to leave.

Out of the room, Queen Emely saw beside the outer door of the room there was someone eavesdropping. Sen, his son who is not too prioritized is always there and never want to be left behind anything if it is about San.

Without saying hello, nor looking at each other because Sen continued to look down gloomily, Queen Emely chose to continue her steps. Leaving her two sons there without thinking about what they would do.

Sen was still fluttering on the spot, the footsteps of Queen Emely who was getting away now were no longer heard. Replacing things that were accidentally broken inside his twin sister's room; san is on a rampage.

“It turns out not to be a priority is not bad,” inner Sen while sharing a hollow smile.
