“What can you expect from that old warehouse? I'm sure there are only rodents. They both won't be there. Let's go somewhere else, there are still many reasonable places that allow them to hide.”
The words made someone who was about to open the warehouse door so undo his intentions. They didn't check in, believing Hazel and Aluka couldn't be inside. It seemed like the goddess Fortuna was siding with the two of them, otherwise, right now surely the intruders had already found both of them.
Hazel breathed a sigh of relief, slightly loosening her arms, letting Aluka cry again. “We'll wait a minute. Until the sound of their footsteps is not heard.”
Aluka just nodded without answering.
About five minutes passed, there was no sound other than the sound of explosions and the sound of ruins spiked with screams for help, each other. The chaos in the Palace has not subsided. But Hazel and Aluka can't just stay quiet without doing anything.
“You wait a minute here. I will peek through the crack in the door,” Hazel said as she walked crawling out from under the table.
Aluka waited on the spot. He began to tear up his tears, realizing that this was not the time to be sad. Remembering her promise to Lynx to keep Hazel and the baby.
Moving slowly after Hazel, her legs tiptoed to peek. Monitor situations that still do not allow to get out. But in the chest the feeling crackled, wanting to rebel to get out and see firsthand what was happening.
Hazel turned her head, extending a hand to Aluka. “There's no way I'm leaving you here. So let's get out together. Try not to get caught. Maybe with my condition that is pregnant like this will make it difficult for you, so do not hesitate to keep running without waiting for me.”
Aluka grabbed Hazel's arm, smiling with her eyes puffy. “What are you saying? We'll keep it together. I can't possibly leave you. We'll find my mother, then go back to hiding in a safer place.”
Hazel's lips curled thinly. “Good.”
Both come out of the warehouse, see more clearly the surface of the yard which was originally full of green grass is now destroyed. There is a large hole that makes an indentation in the ground, allegedly due to the explosion of an object such as a grenade that was deliberately thrown before.
The destruction doesn't stop there. The palace building which was originally sturdy, beautiful and towering, is now almost flat with the ground. The shape is no longer out of shape. The debris is scattered everywhere. Many of the walls of the Palace were still standing on the foundation, already cracked and almost collapsing.
I don't know what the intruders did to make such a mess. Unmitigated, the magnificent Palace that had stood for centuries now almost collapsed and left no pillars.
Aluka takes off Hazel's grip, and runs to get to the place where Jack's funeral was held earlier. On the stairs next to the main door of the palace. The table with the flowers on it was already filled with dust grains from the destroyed building. But the ashes of Jack's body, which were kept in a jug, are no longer there.
Meanwhile, Hazel was drowning in the back. Seeing many residents of Foxion Kingdom hit by the ruins of the Palace building. Starting from half their bodies squeezed by the rubble of the building, some of them were even lifeless. The cry for help was replying to each other everywhere.
Hazel's legs were trembling, cold sweat started to creep on her face. In the blink of an eye the beautiful Palace building became shattered in several pieces. His attention was distracted by Aluka's crying voice screaming in front of him, making Hazel immediately approach.
“Mother!”
“Mother! Please hold on.”
Hazel sees Aluka talking to someone. His little hand was trying to shake the body of someone who was his interlocutor. There, the woman with the crown on her head was already on the verge of dying.
Blood flowed on both temples, nose and lips also issued a thick red liquid. The look in his eyes was so sweet, but it did not look like he was holding back the slightest pain. Half his body was covered in ruins. Hazel who was shocked and worried immediately ran over to him.
“Huh..” Hazel closed her own mouth, and tears accompanied her surprise. “Cannot.” His body slightly bowed, standing next to Aluka who was already roaring.
“Hazel. Please help me lift these rocks, hikss... We have to save my mother before they come and catch us all,” pinta Aluka in the middle of her sobs.
But the arms of Aluka and Hazel are immediately restrained by Queen Keane, her beady looking alternately at the faces of the two of them. “No need to bother saving me. You better leave before you get caught. Go to the spring, stay there until things improve.”
Queen Keane gave up something that she had been holding. A jar filled with ashes from Jack's body. “And take this. Lynx will definitely need this much to treat her longing on Jack.”
Aluka shook her head tightly, she squeezed the mother's arm with a great tremble. “I can help Mom get out of here. So hang on a little more. Please, hiks...”.
“No. Your time is not much.” Queen Keane circulated a momentary glance, her arms raised high when she accidentally saw the man who served as the Royal guard had just made it out of the pile of buildings.
While waiting for the guard-clothed man to come over while dragging his bloody foot, Queen Keane continued, looking at the beloved princess, “Listen to this, the dog-stealers are eyeing Hazel. So make sure you take good care of it. For now, taking it away from here is the safest way.”
While biting her lower lip to hold back the cry, she replied, “Please promise me, we will meet again. I'm going here to see Mom. Until then, please take good care of yourself Mother.”
Queen Keane nodded, the tears that she had been holding back from earlier finally falling as well. Only able to give a hug for no more than a minute, the intruders who originally split up now began to show its existence, making Queen Keane forced to push Aluka away to be taken away by the guards who were waiting.
In an attempt to escape, Hazel's body is swept away in a gang with the man who leads the way. While Aluka who continued to roar did not want to stay away from the mother, just thrashed in a sling, asking to be taken down.
Because the road they were walking on was full of large rocks, Hazel who did not use footwear was injured. The rocks from the rubble of the building have sharp sides, surely Hazel's feet are currently blistering and bleeding.
“If you want, I can carry you too,” bargain the guard politely.
Hazel shook her head, her lips holding back from grimacing. “It's okay. One second late those behind must immediately catch me.”
Unexpectedly, the alleged intruders were just chasing after him, suddenly starting to levitate long-range weapons. The fireballs almost hit Hazel's body if they weren't pulled by the deft guard next to her. Not caring for his injured leg, he focused on saving the two women on his right and left side.
A large bird began to fly towards them, precisely towards Hazel to be taken flying. The bird is not a real bird, rather an imitation made by magic. The shape also resembles a deep black shadow.
Hazel who was beginning to be overwhelmed to avoid, not many words the man next to her directly put his hands on Hazel's waist to embrace. A little surprised, but he knew this did not mean that there was a certain intent.
“Sorry, but this is an emergency. I'll take you to jump over the Palace gate. So make sure you hold on to me,” he said immediately gave an explanation, his legs began to swing.
In the count of three, his body jumped into the air. When the bird that was still targeting Hazel was about to ambush, Roc who became the pride of the Foxion Kingdom immediately confronted. Fighting the stealthy bird earlier, in order to make it easier for them to escape.
“We will use another Roc.” The guard had landed again, hiding beside the Palace gate which was still intact. Giving a pause to Hazel who seems to be still in shock with the incident earlier. Aluka, she was just busy crying in a sling without even talking.
“I'm sure they come here in a number that is not small, so we can not linger here. We have to get to the spring to hide,” the man said as he normalized breathing.
Hazel looked down, her stomach suddenly feeling something strange. It was very painful and cramping, struggling in one spot. It began to spread to the back of the waist, and made it hard to resist grimacing.
He almost fell if he wasn't held back by the man. Hazel's body's defense began to destabilize, her face that was filled with cold sweat turned deathly pale. His breathing also began to become irregular.
Worried, the guard asked, “What's wrong? You feel anything?”
“This is weird. It hurts so much. Belly ... Akh,” complained Hazel, her hands began rubbing her stomach which became the center of pain.
Aluka doesn't care at first, so come to wonder what happened to Hazel. His eyes were perfectly rounded when he saw something flowing from under the clothes the woman was wearing.
“Blood! There's blood flowing!” screech while pointing.
