The Village Girl And the Fox Prince

The Village Girl And the Fox Prince
Chapter 40 - The Contradiction.

Punch after blow is inevitable. Although the soldiers had already spoken well of rejection, Lynx still could not control her emotions.

Ignoring Hazel's screams that told her to stop, Lynx went crazy. Known as a formidable fox with above average physical strength, Lynx quelled the soldiers one by one with his bare hands.

The palm of his left hand was bleeding, pierced by the tip of a weapon that resembled a long spear. But Lynx was in no pain at all. He even continued to lash out blows and raw bogeman at all of them.

“That's the result if you dare to defy me!” Lynx spat to the side, rubbing her blood-stained face using the back of her hand.

About ten of the soldiers sat languidly on the floor, some unconscious. They complain of pain, the magic they use to stop Lynx's anger turned out to be ineffective and only ended in vain.

“The reason we are so strong against you is because you are no longer the crown prince! You were even considered dead by the King! After running away like a coward, why did you even come back to make a fuss by bringing a human?” shouted the soldier whose condition was not too severe.

Lynx was silent for a moment when she heard that. He lowered his gaze, his hunting breath gradually descending. Her chest is no longer a flower. His mind was shackled to the reality that managed to slap him.

The sound of heavy footsteps began to sound closer, making the soldiers who were still unconscious immediately take a sitting position while bowing their backs to welcome someone who had just arrived.

“What is this? Why is there a commotion here?”

Lynx's pupils dilated, quickly drawing his gaze forward. Not wrong again, through his voice alone Lynx has recognized who the person is.

“Mother?” Lynx muttered, but could still be heard by the surroundings.

Hazel who heard it was a little confused. The one who came just now was a real man. His stature was really like that of a grown man, only his hair was indeed long like that of a female.

Besides, didn't Lynx say that his mother had died because of the punishment? Why is she called mother by him?

“Welcome back, Lynx. I've been expecting you to not die. No matter how hard you run away, you will definitely come back because your body still needs it,” said the man called the mother.

Lynx snorted violently. “Sorry. But I came back there were some things I wanted to do.”

His clothes were like a high-class noble, his neat black pants clad in his tie legs, the shirt with long robes behind him made him look even more dignified. He walked closer to Hazel.

Because he did not want the man to hurt his lover, Lynx immediately put on the body. He spread his arms in front of Hazel's body. Not letting that guy get close.

“Please don't hurt him. You need to know, she's my lover. Please curse and maki me if you want, but I would never think of leaving or letting go of Hazel,” Lynx said tenaciously.

The long-haired man laughed silently, next to the corner of his lips turned. She made an expression of interest in what she had just heard.

His index finger moved, making Lynx's large body move away from Hazel's presence. Just now he used his magic, this way Lynx could not make any defense.

“Hey, what are you doing?! Don't you dare touch her!” The veins around her neck stood out, so strongly Lynx shouted. Because all he could use was sound, while his entire body could not be moved at all.

It must have been the man who used magic. Makes Lynx frustrating now. If this is the case, it's hard to protect Hazel.

Several times Lynx yelled as hard as he had to stop her, the man still stepped on Hazel. And now the distance between the faces of the two of them was only a few more cent.

He touched the chin of the girl in shabby clothes in front of him. “So your name is Hazel and you are human?”

Hazel just nodded.

“So, why did you break through the portal to get here?” ask the man again.

“Because I impregnated him!” This is Lynx who replied, she replied so quickly.

“Silence. I'm not talking to you,” he said as he gave a sadistic look. His index finger moved again, now with his magic he silenced Lynx's mouth so as not to speak again.

Looking back at Hazel, his expression changed drastically. He put on a sweet smile. But still in Hazel's eyes it looks terrible.

“So it's true you're pregnant?” her question made sure that her face was a little closer to her, making Hazel's body forced to move backwards.

Hazel nodded again. “True. Because we love each other, think to live together and build a small family by having a child.” There was no doubt emanating from his two manics as he said that.

Whether you are mocking or appreciating, the long-haired man even clapped his hands while shaking his head. He even laughed as if he could not believe Hazel's answer.

“Why? Do you think this is funny? With me in this world, it has become proof that our love is not playing games. Before acting so far, we have also thought about the risk,” ketus Hazel, do not accept to be underestimated by him.

Lynx who could not open her mouth in the slightest, could only speak through her eyes that were rolling to and fro. Occasionally glared as a sign of being in a revolt in the man.

“No. No. gabe. Don't be so angry. Now you can prove how big and strong the love you have in front of the King. Since all the decisions are in his hands,” replies while turning the body.

His index finger moved, circling around to dispel the magic on Lynx's body. It allows him to move freely and talk again.

“So now, come with me to meet him,” take him while walking first.

Lynx moves to Hazel's side. Staring at him briefly before finally grasping each other's hands to strengthen.

“Quiet, Hazel. Leave everything to me. Let me explain and talk to my father myself,” he said to calm down, then walk side by side to enter the palace area.

Stabbed like that, Lynx felt useless. Right, from the very beginning his existence in this world was completely unneeded. As a fox demon that lacked the ability to control magic, Lynx was always looked down upon.

“At least I can oppose it. Just trust me. I'm not gonna get you and our kid hurt. If they do hurt you, I can use my power to destroy the entire palace and we'll get out of here,” whispered Lynx, that's all he can think of.

A few minutes off. Hazel can only put it all on Lynx. Trying to believe and believe that everything will be okay even though you know it will not go smoothly.

Hazel nudged her lover's arm, suddenly she thought of something. “By the way why is that guy you call Mom? Isn't she not a woman, surely she is not the one who gave birth to you.”

Right, Hazel was curious about it.

Lynx laughed briefly. “It's true she didn't give birth to me. Long story. But to put it simply, he's the only fox demon who wants me to stay alive. Even he was willing to prostrate under my father's feet just so that I wouldn't be killed.”

“... He took care of me, he took care of me when my own father didn't care about me. Everything in this world, I learned through him. Because I used to call him Mother, until now I have difficulty calling him by another name,” he added.

Hazel rounded her mouth with a beard. He finally began to understand. There is also an interest in wanting to know the man even further. But at a glance, Lynx and the man's relationship does not look so close.

“Stop whispering behind me. Free, because I can hear it,” chirped the man without turning his head.

Lynx clucked, his eyes spinning lazily. “Isn't it better to talk about it directly in front of you?”

“Tch, you naughty boy.”

Called a boy by her, Lynx felt disbelieving. Then he replied cynically, “Stop calling me a boy. I can already make a child and soon be a father.”

The man just laughed. While Hazel glared at him while nudging her lover. Such words should not be clarified.

Getting closer to the main door of the palace, they had to climb a few steps of stairs to get there. Hazel was unceasingly amazed, observing how vast and beautiful the palace gardens were with huge fountains on the right and left.

When the main door of the palace opened by itself, they walked on a very long red carpet. The ornaments on the palace buildings were very foreign to Hazel, this was the first time she saw them in person.

It was as if Hazel was being thrown into the world in modern times. There are no more ancient artifacts that are usually extended in large houses in the village. Everything here is very beautiful and the furniture looks sophisticated.

But his admiration for this palace suddenly faded as two men in the usual clothes worn by nobles began to appear down the stairs. They seem to be on the sidelines with Lynx.

From the expressions they made, as implied by the dislike that appeared. The way they looked at Hazel seemed disrespectful, so demeaning.

“What is this? Is not that woman a human being? Why is he here? And also, why did the person who was presumed dead suddenly return home here?” shouted a man with a codet in his left eye, his face was visibly agitated.

The man guiding the path bowed to her, saluting her respectfully. “Sorry, Prince San. I let him in. He's not dangerous. She is the lover of Prince Lynx. For now they will meet the king.”

“Hah? What the hell does that mean? Why would you even allow it? Can't be left!” San grew increasingly enraged, he descended the rest of the stairs quickly, galloping towards all of them.

“The King is sick. She can't be found anytime soon.” The one who had just spoken was another man, who was still standing on the stairs, his face relaxed and calm but still showing a deadly aura.

Lynx clenched her hands. “Whispering! I'm not talking to all of you. I am also his son, his flesh and blood. I still have the right to do something here.”

Lynx's fingers wrapped around Hazel's arms, grasping them tightly. “I won't hear your comments about my girlfriend. Let this be my business and father's only. Aside from the status of my lover is human, she is not someone dangerous.”

The long-haired man who stood two steps ahead of Lynx tried to mediate the situation. His hand touched Lynx's chest, telling her to calm down.

“For now, let them rest. The long journey they had gone through must have made them tired. There are many empty rooms that can be used by them. So I beg..”.

“Halah! Your talk is stale, Jack,” cut San with a tone of dislike. “If it's about that fool, you've always taken pains to lower your self-esteem. Now, after he made a mess here, you still want to defend him as well? I don't think.”

“... But whatever, it's free to talk to people like you. Exhausting and wasting time. I believe that father will not stay silent on this matter. Be prepared there is no mercy for you, Lynx,” he continued as he sauntered away.

The cold-faced man still standing on the stairs laughed mockingly, his gaze focused on Hazel. “Seeing from anywhere, Ren is better than that woman. A man with a disgusting smell seems like you can make a lover. Just look at her clothes, so shabby and dirty. Reflecting once what he is like.”

Deg.

It hurts so much to hear that. His chest felt pinched thousands of times, impregnating even to breathe was painful. The wry smile engraved on his face could not disguise the wound in his heart.

“Damn it! Shut the fuck up Sen! Dare you say that again, I'll-”

Grep.

Hazel restrains Lynx's body as she approaches the man. “Not necessary, Lynx. Stop making a fuss here.”

Their eyes meet. Lynx could see from her lover's net radiance that her heart was so hurt. Naturally, anyone who was put on such a lotus would definitely be sad.

“I'm fine.” Hazel develops a smile, trying not to make Lynx worry.
