The Village Girl And the Fox Prince

The Village Girl And the Fox Prince
Chapter 50 - News of the War.

One week has passed, during this week Lynx was busy practicing alone without Jack's help. The Lynx occasionally entered into a group of troops who would go to war to give direction and a little training.

Because the Foxion Kingdom was in alliance with several other Kingdoms, including the Oxra Kingdom, so the training ground was not only filled with fox demon troops.

Many of them come with their own special features. There are several talking horses sent directly by the leader of the Kingdom of Eve to increase the troops and can be used as a means of transportation for Lynx later.

The horses they sent were not horses. It is twice as big as a regular horse. The horse also has wide wings, and of course they look very scary.

Many say that the horse came from hell. Already through hard and rough training so that it can be trusted to help the war. His big and strong physique, made Lynx want to use the horse to bring him in for victory.

“Jexie, did you have any trouble while you were here?” asked Lynx while rubbing the jet-black horse head.

His head was swinging slowly. “No. I'm quite happy. And feel proud to be able to be your mount later, Prince Lynx.”

Lynx smile. His gaze spread throughout the limbs of the horse beside him. The glossy black feathers are very soft, but the bent wing feels rough because the bone surface in the wing is uneven.

“Please one more time for today. I will continue to hone my skills,” Lynx pinta before riding the horse named Jexie.

Slightly bowing his body and head, Jexie replied happily, “Sure, My Prince. Please.”

Lynx had already strung the quiver on her back, containing a dozen arrows. The bow was in his hand. The equipment was ready and placed on his body.

Immediately he rode the horse, sitting comfortably. Jexie adjusted her breathing first before running at a steady pace later on. In some corners where the dartboard has been installed where Lynx must land the arrow precisely to it.

As Jexie started running around carrying Lynx in her mount, the man with the blindfold on his side began to pull the bow, looking for the right shot using one eye. It's a little hard, but it's not the first try for Lynx.

Great not to play, the arrows that shot successfully hit the perfect point on the dart board with just three turns. Because there are still arrows left, Lynx took the initiative to shoot the branches of trees that look weathered. So that the branches on the tree also fell.

“Nice! Good work, Jexie!” Lynx smiled proudly as she stroked the horse's head.

“You're better, my Prince. Your ability is much more improved than yesterday,” replied Jexie praised back.

Lynx came down the horse laughing softly. “But I still have to practice. I haven't been able to shoot when you took me flying. Maybe I need some apples to be the object of my archery later.”

“I will gladly continue to be your mount, Princeku.” Jexie looked down respectfully, bending down next to her feet.

While the two were busy chatting together in the back garden while continuing to practice, without Lynx knowing secretly there was a peek to watch the activity. He crouched down near the fence, slightly popping his head in order to see.

As the day begins to go by, the Lynx will take a short break. As soon as he wants to see his girlfriend, he makes sure Hazel wakes up and has breakfast. So he said goodbye to Jexie before he left.

“I'll ask the waiter to deliver food for you, Jexie. So wait here. Later in the afternoon we will train together again.”

“Good, My Prince.”

Looking briefly at the armory, Lynx was a little worried about how Jack was doing. During this week, there's no sign Jack will be out of there. Lynx did not hear anything from inside the warehouse.

After Lynx actually went from the back garden without suspecting anything because it had been observed by someone, who was hiding was about to leave as well.

But...

“From on keep hiding, why not ask permission to join? Prince San can also train here if you want,” chirped Jexie who was already aware of his presence.

He had no idea what San's real purpose was doing this. Silently watching with an annoyed look, trembling to mumble alone, as if emitting vengeance through the gaze of his eyes.

San who was about to leave was to discourage his intentions. The bitch gets caught, so San doesn't want to hide himself anymore. At least on a horse that is very obedient to Lynx.

“Where can I show myself to train in front of my own enemies? After all, with the magic abilities I have, it is clear I am superior to that fool,” San said with a circus.

“Enemy? Aren't you brothers?” Jexie looked confused.

A forced laughter escaped from his mouth, San walked towards Jexie with a mysterious look. “Brothers? I never considered him a brother. Especially after he waved the war flag at me, I got more and more eager to make him destroyed.”

“... Now I'll give you a choice, come with me or keep obeying the fool?”

Strange question, Jexie did not understand what San meant. From the news that circulated, Jexie little know that the two of them did not have a good relationship.

But is the relationship between the two so bad?

“Sorry, Prince San. I don't understand what--”

“Jawab only!” sergeant San cut off the conversation.

If that was the case, Jexie would certainly answer him without hesitation, “According to the orders of the leader of the Kingdom of Eve, I must devote my body and life to helping Prince Lynx. He is my Prince, I trust the peace and victory he can achieve for this whole country.”

“Damn it!” San did not accept. He did not want anyone to be on Lynx's side, not want if Lynx who really hated to be recognized his ability by demons and other races.

Because it was dark eyes, in San's mind crossed one bad idea without a second thought. His thoughts at this moment; whoever was on Lynx's side, then it would be his enemy.

A sharp object like a needle as big as an adult's index finger he took out from behind his red cloak, it was his magic control device. If San had already taken it out, it meant that he could do anything unconsciously.

“First of all, next to your wing should I break.”

Deg.

Jexie was slightly surprised, her body walking backwards bit by bit. Can't believe San would do it.

“I think this will be a fun thing. If Lynx loses one eye, you'll lose one of your wings. Is that not your loyalty to him? Haha!”

Carving out a smile full of anger, his eyes lit up, his mind already forming a shadow of what he would do. When his mouth was ready to cast a magic phrase, a glint of blue-colored light that dazzled the eyes made time pause for a while.

The door of the weapon storage shed opened, just now was the magic that Jack had done to stop San's foul intentions. In a casual step with a slight delay, Jack approached them.

Two fingers he pressed on San's neck, in that second also time back to walk again. But San was immediately unconscious, his body fell and was immediately detained by Jack.

“Naughty basics. You are very dangerous,” hiss Jack while carrying San into a sling, his position is like carrying a sack of rice.

Looking at the trauma-like Jexie, Jack placed his palm on the horse's head. Energize to calm him down.

“I will not lose your memory of this incident. Just let you realize that in this Kingdom having a demon like Prince San, that means you have to be more careful and need to protect Lynx. Remember, even in the Kingdom itself there are always enemies.”

Jexie regulated her breathing, starting to feel calm. Thinking if not helped by Jack, maybe he will be disabled for life. He could no longer devote himself to helping the war.

“Prince Lynx!”

“Prince Lynx!”

“Please come here, Prince Lynx!”

The noise from the call of some fox stealth who kept on shouting down there, making Lynx have to end his activities that were cool quality time with Hazel.

Lynx immediately set foot to head to the front of the palace, because of the noise he heard from there. And sure enough near the gate of the palace was already filled with hordes of demons from various Kingdoms, they were the core troops who would join the war.

I don't know what they're up against, Lynx's getting curious. And as his body moved to split the crowd, Lynx saw that one of the demons from Foxion Kingdom had already been drenched in blood and was certain to be lifeless.

A little surprised, Lynx tried to stay calm. His body crouched down, looking at the arrow that was still stuck right in the chest of the horribly dead fox demon.

“We are preparing a formation for the war later, but suddenly there is an arrow that shot through the gate and hit it, Prince,” reported to represent what had happened.

Lynx's gaze focused on the end of the arrow, seeing that there was something different from the usual arrow. “Someone sent us a signal,” he said while forcibly plucking the arrow from there.

True to Lynx's guess, after he fumbled the arrow turned out the tip was rolled by rough paper. After it was opened to see what it contained, Lynx concluded that this was a shipment from the Maggie Kingdom.

To be sure, Lynx sniffed the paper. “From the smell, it's no mistake that this is the work of dog demons. After I observed the contents of this paper, they already gave a signal regarding the war going on. Ready or unprepared, they will attack us.”

“War is getting closer. While our preparation is not yet maximal. How's this?” tell one of them.

Many of them were throwing eyes at each other, visible from the look in their eyes that were emitting unease and anxiety.

“Betul. I feel that our struggle will be in vain. Although three Kingdoms have been combined in one army, we are still outnumbered!” The others came along.

Because of these words, the atmosphere here is getting tense. As if to doctrine others to be pessimistic. Lynx was a little overwhelmed to keep them calm again.

“Our strategy is also still random. Not that I'm trying to complicate things. But the fact is, isn't it? It is still clear how sadistic the Maggie Kingdom was to do the rationing of our Kingdom back then, eliminating many fox demon populations until only a few twists remain!”

Whispers by whispers began to sound, they were worried about a bad situation that might happen. Fear of defeat, loss of life, and end in extinction.

Though previously they had begun to believe, can be invited to compromise in this war, but only given a small warning from the Kingdom of Maggie only they have been crushed helpless like this.

“Shut!” yelled at someone, not Lynx. Except Jack. I don't know when he's here.

After the situation became quiet without anyone talking again, Jack began to appear in the middle of the association. Show yourself to all the demons, and get close to Lynx.

“We have a great Prince Fox here. Why are you pessimistic and thinking about giving up before it starts? Trust me, with Lynx's efforts and the help of all of you, we can win!” jack said with complete confidence.

Lynx smiled faintly. “Mother?” His heart was broken, suddenly warmed back after seeing his presence.

Jack always comes at the right time. That's why Lynx thinks the man is more than just a mother, she's a real wingless angel.

While patting Lynx's shoulder gently, Jack again said, “I believe, Lynx can overcome this. If you continue to be pessimistic and reluctant to contribute trust, you yourself will lose.”

“... You just focus on practicing, let the strategy and other business we will think about it. It is likely that the next two to three days of the Maggie Kingdom will send troops, so before that we will have to herd them somewhere so as not to harm this place.”
