The Perfect Wife
Chapters 27. Assistance

Lara opened her eyes slowly with her body still hurting. His feet felt pulsating. His head was pulled. Even his stomach was also nauseous because he did not eat and had rain overnight. When she realized that she was lying on a soft bed and luxurious room, Lara was shocked. The large-bodied woman immediately sat on the bed with a face of disbelief.

“Where is this?” whispered.

“In room,” someone replied.

Lara tilted her head to the left and saw a well-dressed man standing beside the sofa. The man threw a smile at Lara. Lara scrunched her forehead. It was like he had seen that man. But, he doubted that indeed the man who was now in front of him was the same man. Their appearance looks much different.

“Chubby, have you realized?” ask the man.

“Chubby? Who's Chubby?” ask Lara confused.

“Ehm, I mean.” The man was wrong. He closed his eyes for a moment. “You are already aware, Miss ...” The man held back his sentence waiting for Lara to answer his name.

“Lara. My name is Lara,” replied Lara.

The man nodded slowly. He approached Lara. “Include, my name is Fabio,” said the man introduced himself.

Lara glanced at the man's hand timidly before replying her hand.

“I Lara Alessandra,” replied Lara slowly. “If I may know, why did you bring me to this place? Where is this?”

“This is my home,” replied Fabio.

“Your home?” Lara still can't believe it. The room he now occupied exceeded the area of his old room. It is inconceivable how large and spacious the house is.

“Ya,” replied Fabio.

“Why did you bring me here?”

“Because ...” Fabio thought of something. The man was silent for a moment. “I can't possibly say that he caused me the accident last night. If I tell her, she'll be disinclined. I'm not going to return the favor,” Fabio muttered in his heart.

“Mr Fabio, have we ever met?” ask Lara again. But the question that was not answered.

“Ya, never.” Fabio walked towards the ornamental table which was composed of glass objects in it. The man took the rice box and the bottle of water Lara had given him.

“Maybe these two things can remind you of me,” Fabio said.

Lara again. He did not believe that the person he helped last night was a rich and honorable man. Not the brandal man who had fought like Lara thought.

“You, the man with the hood?” ask Lara to make sure.

“Berandal?” Fabio frowned.

Lara shut her mouth. “I'm sorry.” Lara looked down with guilt.

Fabio laughed a little. “No problem. I am a big hunk!” answer Fabio. “If I may know, why did you pass out on the street? I don't know where your house is. That's why I brought you here.”

“Home?” Lara's face was sad again. Even in a matter of seconds, a circle of tears had already welled up in his eyes. “I have no place to stay.”

Along with that, tears came back. Lara tried hard and wiped the tears on her cheek. He doesn't want to look sad anymore. Although his heart is actually not willing to forget all the crimes that Alex did against him.

“It looks like he just had a severe problem. I'd better not press him first,” Fabio muttered inwardly.

“I'm sorry. I shouldn't bother you,” said Lara with a forced smile.

“I should have said thank you. If you didn't give me drinks and food yesterday, I don't know what would happen to me.” Fabio said.

“You exaggerate too little things. It was just cheap food that was meaningless. As for you, look like a man who can get any food you want.”

“Yes. But, everything I have was useless yesterday!”

“Can I ask for something?” lara said with a pleading face.

“Bby. Tell. What do you want? I will grant it,” replied Fabio quickly.

“Can I work in this house? I need money and a place to live. For now I want to disappear from someone. I don't want to meet him first,” pinta Lara.

“Work?” Fabio frowned both his eyebrows.

“What request is too difficult to grant? Why did he put on such an expression? Looks like she's angry,” Lara murmured inwardly.

“If you mind, not in salary is also okay.”

“Nona Lara. You don't have to work. You can stay in this house at any time. If you are bored, you can just go.”

“Really?” Lara's face was radiant.

“Ya,” replied Fabio agreed.

“Thank you, Sir. Thank you.”

“Sama-sama.”

Fabio looked at Lara's face with smiling lips. “It turns out she's a jolly woman. Not as sad as I thought,” Fabio muttered inwardly.

Lara looked ahead. “I must be able to think of a way to make Him have to pay for everything he has done. Not just Alex. I want everyone who hurts me to feel what I've ever felt. I would never have had this kind of malicious intent if no one started,” umpat Lara in heart.

“Oh yes, Miss. It's the watch the waiter found in your pocket. I think this watch is very valuable for you,” Fabio said. The man gave Mr. Moritz's watch to Lara.

“Papa,” Ogre Lara. He took the clock and held it. His strength increased when he imagined Mr. Moritz's face before leaving for all eternity.

“Nona, I go first. If you are bored, you can leave the room. I will ask one waiter to accompany you and prepare everything you need.”

“No, Sir. Don't be like that. I'm not as special as you think. I cannot repay your kindness,” reject Lara with a sense of disdain.

“Nona, I've thought about all this. If yesterday you were not there, maybe this second I will not be able to stand here,” Fabio said without wanting to explain exactly what had happened.

“But ...”

“I go first. There's business I have to finish.” Fabio stepped away leaving the room Lara occupied. The man glanced at the clock that was on his wrist before heaving a rough sigh. “I'm five minutes late!”

Lara looked at Fabio's back until the man disappeared. After the door closed, Lara looked at the watch she had in her grasp.

"Pa, is this clock a lucky hour? There's a nice guy who helps me without taking issue with my appearance. Even if I don't know, he's a good guy or not. But, at least today Lara no longer dizzy thinking about where to stay."
