That morning, I was just at home, by any chance today I had no promise of going out with anyone. Karin is also busy dating her new boyfriend.

When Dad came out of his room, he came up to me..

"Naomi, I forgot to tell you that your cousin Ashley is coming and staying for a few days. He's coming today - he should be here by now. So, if you don't have any plans to get out today, that's great, '" Dad said as he fixed his tie and got ready for work.

"Dad, seriously? You know I don't like that kid. Why did you tell him to come?" I groaned, "I don't want to deal with a unstable child like him!"

"Naomi, she's not that bad," Dad chuckled.

"That's because Dad doesn't know much about him yet" I told him, Ashley's a bad boy, she's Dad's niece, but Dad doesn't know her as much as I know her. He is rude, disrespectful, stubborn, and has a lot of bad manners. Every time he's in front of Dad, he acts as if he's an innocent man, but he's actually a bad boy."

"Well, now Naomi, I think you're overreacting" Dad told me.

"Excessive? I don't know Ashley very well. Do you know that he likes living here because Mom and Dad don't impose strict rules on him like Uncle Mike and Aunt Amel" I told him, "And he came here too because he likes the next-door neighbor's son, I hope you and mom stay here every night watching him."

"Don't pretend, aren't you still his teenage son, and of course instinctively you must also like the boy who lives next door" he told me.

"Dad I was a teenager but that doesn't mean I'm as wild and naughty as he is. I don't want to deal with him."

"Lantas, how can you handle another teenager when you're a teacher at High School?" Dad asked me, "You're definitely going to deal with hundreds of teenagers like him every day."

"Well, maybe I should reconsider and change my life" I said.

"It's too late for that." I smiled, "By the way, I've already sent your semester money this year into your account. Tomorrow I'll give you some more pocket money, because your uncle owes me so he gave me some money he took out through Ashley."

"Dad, thank you, but you don't have to give me any more pocket money. I told you it was okay," I told him.

I feel sad because he has done everything for me alone and has also given me pocket money at all times. This is one example, where I had to think about Karin's idea to find a man who was willing to help me financially.

"My son, you've lost your job and you're young, you must still have few needs and desires."

"Dad, I told you I was okay. I don't have much I need anyway. Don't worry about it, you've done a lot" I told him.

"Son, you're still my responsibility. I should have supported you as long as I could and you needed that." Dad told me, "When you get older, then that's where it's your turn to help and take care of your parents."

"Dad is right," I chuckled, "And if I succeed, Dad and mom will be my top priority ... Well, that's until I have my own family and get out of here."

"Naomi is so mean," I laughed, "dad hurt so much if you really wanted to go."

"Dad, I'm just kidding, I'll make sure Dad and Mom get the best care" I told her, "Dad won't lack anything."
