"Hey, it's cold in here. Let's go in before you catch a cold" I heard David say behind me.
"It's okay, I'm not cold" I said with a small smile before looking back at the pool.
I was sitting in the back near the pool watching the lights bounce off the water.
"Naomi, we have to talk" David said as he took off his jacket and wrapped it around my shoulder before sitting next to me. "You've been like this since the incident with Aleah. It seems you've isolated yourself from everyone."
"What's? No, it's not that. It's just that the air here is very good" I told him.
"Naomi, try saying that to someone else, I know I-" David said as he turned my chin so I could deal with it. "I know you're still upset about what Aleah said that night and I'm sorry."
"David, can you stop apologizing. I'm not upset, what Aleah said hurt a little but I'm not upset." I said to her, "I understand how she feels, she misses her mother and you're dating me instead, I think she feels like I'm taking her place and I can understand what it's like especially since I'm so much younger."
"Naomi, don't make excuses for Aleah. What he's doing is out of bounds and he's being punished for it" David told me.
"David, it won't help anything. You overreacting, confiscating her phone and gadgets won't change her feelings for me. It might just make him hate me more. And that's not the only good thing."
"What else is bothering you?" Ask David.
"I don't know, but I just feel that your mother doesn't like me that much."
"What are you talking about?" David asked, "Don't be silly, of course my mom likes you. She's glad I finally have someone in my life again."
"He's happy you're happy. And I'm not saying that he hates me or anything, but my feeling is that he doesn't like me very much" I told him.
"Is this because he insists we stay in separate rooms while we are here? Since it had nothing to do with you personally, my parents - especially my mother was rather old-fashioned and she did not believe in men and women sharing a bed unless they were married. Even though he knows what happens when he's not around."
"David that's not why I said that. Just the way he asked or said certain things made me feel this way," I told him, I pulled the jacket he had wrapped onto my shoulder closer to me. It's actually a little cold here.
A few moments later..
"David, stop and get out before your parents come back and see you here. They think something's going on and they're going to think negative." I told her even though I couldn't help but laugh and mock her.
"Trust me, they won't be back for now" David chuckled, "Once mom goes shopping, it takes a full day. Especially with the girls there. So we have plenty of time at home for ourselves."
"I have a good idea, what good we're doing, but no, it's not going to happen," I laughed my head away as she tried to kiss me. "David, mom told us to sleep in different rooms for a reason so, don't do this in your parents' house."
"Who talks about sleep? What I had in mind was far from that" David said before stealing a kiss.
"Well, can you pretend you don't look good while you're here. I don't want to give your parents another reason to dislike me" I laughed before the phone rang.
"Hello." David answered the phone and let me go, finally he gave me time to finish dressing.
I took a shower not too long ago and started getting dressed when David came into the room and played around with me. I was already wearing a shirt and panties but not wearing any outer pants because she pulled my jeans from me while I was trying to wear them. As David spoke on the phone, I finished getting dressed and tied my hair. Based on the discussion that David was talking about, he greeted Mother Gita, I know she was talking on the phone with a patient. Gita's mother is her assistant/nurse, so whenever a patient wants to come to her, they should contact her first if they don't have her mobile number.
"Is there a problem?" I asked as soon as he was done with his call.
"Yes, that's one of my patience. I've prescribed some medication for her but she seems to have a mild allergic reaction and wonders if there's anything else she can use than what I prescribed."
"Oh, so it's sorted out now?"
"Yes, I suggest he try the drugs until I get back," David replied, "Do you want lunch? I'm hungry."
"Yes, sure" I laughed as I took his arm and walked into the kitchen together.
