Arc 2 - Chapter 42 - Claric Governmental Research

On the morning before sunrise, a horse-drawn carriage drove past the vast meadow. "Thank you for helping us." Said Shun sitting beside Karin.

"There's a pay I don't matter." Said Izuru sitting across from Shun with Rin.

"So how's it going in there?" Ask Rin.

"We still do not know, for sure the economy there is slowly starting to fall apart and the king still has not appeared." Answer Shun.

"Who asked you for help?" Ask Rin.

"Representatives of the citizens asking me to investigate." Answer Shun.

"By the way is it still a long time?we're leaving at dawn." Ask Izuru.

"It's gonna be there soon." Answer Karin.

"Huffs... It's chilly!" Said Iona who was sitting near the coachman while collecting her breath with her hands.

"It's better to just sit inside." The coachman said the horse-drawn carriage.

"I don't want to sit there for a minute. So how long until it's there?" Ask Iona.

"Maybe another 15 minutes until. Look at that, the walls are already visible." Said the coachman pointing to the side, the forest and behind it was a huge wall.

"It's so big." Iona then looked to the side there was a large forest. Then Iona had someone waving near the forest, like he was calling them. "There's a man in the woods!" Said Iona pointing towards the person.

"Do you want to go to him?" Ask coachman.

"Just come, it looks like he's got business with us." Iona said then his carriage turned towards the forest and stopped in front of the man.

"Hey why are we stopping here?" Shun asked out of the door, and immediately saw the person who called them. "You asked for help, right?" Tanya Shun knew the man who called them.

"True Mr. Shun, thankfully I'm not wrong people." Answer the old man.

"What are you doing here?" Shun asked off the train and followed the others.

"You can't get through the gate." Said the old man.

"Why is that?"

"Because the royal guards are guarding the gates tightly, so no outsiders can enter. That's why we have to take another path." Said the old man.

"Until it's guarded like that? This must have been very serious." Karin.

"Then you go back to the city." Said Shun asking the coachman of his horse-drawn carriage to go home.

"Good Mr. Shun." The coachman said and left on his horse-drawn carriage.

"Let's get through here, Mr. Shun." Said the old man then went into the forest followed by another. "Everyone should also cover their faces so that no one knows if there are outsiders." Keep the guy.

"I'm glad I brought this outfit." Izuru said while wearing a hood.

"How's this? I just brought this armor." Ask Shun.

"That armour is striking, let alone that black sword on your back." Rin.

"Just calm down, I'll give you the robe when I get there." Said the Man. They continued to follow the old man earlier and finally arrived in front of the royal wall. "Let's get through here." Said the man then opened a wood covered with earth, and underneath there was a hole. "Let's go in." The man said and went inside.

"Is there no other way?" Ask Karin.

"Come on with me." Shun said, then Izuru, Iona, then Rin.

"Why am I wearing my new shirt?" Karin asked and went into a hole in the ground. They continued to crawl inside the ground, until they finally saw a yellow light.

"Where is this?" Shun asked out of the hole.

"Well..! So stuffy!" Said Iona coming out of the hole after Shun.

"Thank you." Shun said then put on his robe.

"Well...! Finally out!" Karin said to come out of the hole and clean her clothes off the ground.

"Where are we going?" Ask Izuru.

"You must meet the king's majesty and deliver the message that the whole city is completely muddled." Answer the old man.

"Then we will infiltrate the kingdom at night, for now we must go around and make a strategy." Karin.

"Good idea! I'm the expert in mingling!" Izuru.

After that they all scattered throughout the city in search of information. "Aren't I Mr Shun's companion? But why am I with you!?" Karin asked shouting near Izuru. They walk in a pretty crowded city.

"Because it's more effective, I'll mingle and talk to the citizens. Then you can get the information straight out of me and come up with a strategy." Izuru continued walking until in front of a bar. "This is a good first place I'm going!" Izuru said running into the bar.

"Hey, don't you!" Shouted Karin, but ignored. "Wait for me!" Karin said to enter the bar. Izuru walked towards the table where two adventurers were sitting. "Hey there's an empty one!" Karin said as she pointed towards the empty table in the corner.

"Yes! Can I join you?" Izuru asked then sat down on one of the empty seats. The two people just stared at Izuru with a horrifying look.

Karin could only see from a distance. "Wine! I'd better not get involved, I'll get beat up later." Karin said in her heart.

"Go, son, this is no place for a little boy like you." Said one of the men there.

"Sadly, I haven't had breakfast since morning...!" Izuru replied loudly, until everyone there could hear it.

"Foolish base, get out of there!" Karin said in her heart.

The two people stared at Izuru getting sharper and slowly looked at Izuru closer, until right in front of Izuru's face. "A good answer. Waiter, someone wants a message!" The man said and then sat back down.

"Great, he can really blend in." Karin said in her heart.

"I've never seen you before, are you an outsider?" Ask another man.

"Yes, I'm an outsider from the next town." Answer Izuru.

"Stupid!! Don't tell anyone about it...!" Karin's cry inwardly still stood there.

"Excuse me what message would you like?" Ask the waitress to approach their table, then give her a menu list.

"Hmm...? Hey I need some advice." Izuru said opening the menu list on the table.

"You'd better buy some toast."

"Fried fish are good too, but they cost a little more." Said another man.

"This one is delicious too!"

"Ok, I order this, this, and this. Two servings." Izuru said while pointing to the menu list. The waiter recorded everything and then left.

"Two servings? You're so nice, just met already willing to treat us."

"No, it's for my friend." Answer Izuru.

"Oh, aren't you alone?"

"No he's there. Hey, Karin! Come on over here!" Call Izuru.

"I think I'll get a lot of information." Karin said in her heart.
