Chapter 25 - Hard Work

"they left me. It's because I'm not a hero, because I'm weak, because I can't do anything!" Izuru said inwardly still slumped in the same place. "He took everything, everything I had! My friends have been with me all this time, even if only briefly. But I can't just let them go."

Izuru then woke up holding her stomach and covered her eyes with wrists. "Everything... Hix... Everything is gone, I'm alone now. Hicks..." Izuru said crying while covering her eyes.

Izuru then walked the streets of the city with his sword cut off. Everyone also slightly moved away from Izuru, they all looked and whispered to each other. "That's the guy, right?" Whisper one of the citizens. "Yes, that's the guy who tried to fight Mr. Shun." Whisperers back.

Izuru continued walking without caring for them, even though Izuru heard clearly what they said. Izuru then reached the fountain, he looked down at the pool. Izuru also saw the coin he had once thrown with Asura. "Why don't you grant my wish!" Shouted Izuru then threw his sword into the pond. Then covered his face with both hands.

"Izuru?" Someone called out to Izuru from behind. It turned out to be Asura who called out to Izuru breathlessly while still wearing his servant uniform. Izuru turned his head towards Asura, he then walked slowly towards him.

"Asura..." Said Izuru running and hugging Asura then crying in his arms. "That guy! Hix... That guy took it all! Hicks..." Izuru said while crying.

"I've heard everything, they do it for the sake of the crowd. So stop crying." The word Asura calmed Izuru.

"But them! They prefer Shun, because he is the chosen one. While me? I'm just trash."

"Don't say that. I'm sure one day you can be like her too." Said Asura trying to comfort Izuru.

"Can I? I'm just a human being, I never even evolved."

"If you try hard. Your hard work will pay off." Said Asura, then raised the face of Izuru who was still wet with tears from her embrace and touched Izuru's cheek. "I will always support you." Asura said with a smile on Izuru.

Izuru continued to stare into Asura's eyes, then he wiped his tears and held Asura's hand. "Thank you, Asura. I'm sorry I always ignored you." Izuru said then clasped Asura's hand. "I'll try." Izuru said then he left Asura.

"Fight, Izuru. I can't believe they betrayed you like this either. They hurt you badly, and then they made you cry. I'm not just gonna let them." Asura said furiously as he bit his nails, his breathing began to emit smoke and sparks.

Meanwhile Izuru went to the guild, then he looked at the quest board, the quest papers stuck on the board. "I don't care what the quest is, as long as it can make me stronger!" Izuru said inwardly then took out many papers at once. Then he went out and went into the forest. He saw the first Quest paper, "black wolf monster in the forest."

Suddenly the wolf that the quest was intending appeared in large numbers around Izuru. Izuru saw the wolf surrounded him, then the black wolves started to advance against Izuru. One of them advanced very quickly and was immediately kicked by Izuru. The other wolf also came from the side, Izuru immediately caught it and threw it towards the wolf coming from behind. But from the side there was a wolf that Izuru did not notice biting Izuru's hand until blood poured out of Izuru's hand.

"Don't stop me....!" Izuru shouted slamming the wolf, then stomped on its head until it was crushed. Izuru continued to attack all the wolves until only a few were left to flee. Then in Izuru's vision a writing appeared, Level 10. "Huh. huh... I succeeded, without a weapon. But my hand still hurts." Izuru then looked at her bitten hand. He was surprised to see purple veins emerge from the wolf bite. "Ughhhh...! The poison? No, I can't be like I used to be. I have to hold on! I'm haru...!? Hueekk..!" Izuru suddenly vomited and in his vomit was a red liquid. "No, this poison won't be able to defeat me!" Izuru Shouted.

And on the other hand, Asura was walking home because he rushed to find Izuru after learning that Izuru was trying to attack Shun. But when I got to the front of Miss Reshieka's residence, Iona was there waiting for someone. Asura stopped his steps in surprise and remembered everything that had happened to Izuru because of Iona. "Would she want to come here?" Asura asked inwardly, then he continued his steps.

Iona saw Asura heading towards her. "Asura! I was looking for you from earlier. Can you help me see Izuru's situation at home?" Said Iona running towards Asura.

"You can ask me that." Replied Asura while looking down.

"What do you mean..? Akkhh..!?" Suddenly Asura strangled Iona and lifted her up quickly.

"What do you want? Even after everything you've done to Izuru, you still want to know how things are going?" Asked Asura with a sharp look.

"Reply answer my question!" Shouted Asura.

"I was forced to do it! Akkh...! I was raised for this, to stand by... The chosen one!" Iona replied while clasping Asura's hand which was strangling her.

"Just like that? I even have a better reason to do this!" Asura then raised his other hand and opened his fingers until his sharp nails were seen. "I thought you were my friend and Izuru. I was wrong to believe you!" Asura directed his hand to attack Iona who was still in his strangulation.

Iona could do nothing and could only stare in fear at Asura's hand. But, someone stopped Asura who was about to touch Iona. "What are you doing, Asura?" Fiel asked come and held back Asura's hand.

"Fiel?" Said Asura surprised to see Fiel.

"Take him off." Said Fiel.

"Curtain!" Asura then dropped Iona and immediately entered the house.

"Uhuk! Uhuk!" Iona coughed on the ground while holding her neck.

"I've never seen Asura that angry before." Said Fiel looking towards Iona. Iona was silent.

A little while later, Iona returned to the large mansion where Shun's group had gathered. "Iona, where have you been?" Shun asked who was at the door.

"I'm just walking around for a while." Iona replied continuing to walk in regardless of Shun there.

"Oh yeah, we're leaving tomorrow night." Shun said come inside.

"I understand." Iona answered and went upstairs.

"Well...! Huh...! I will not treat this wound! Let this poison be a part of me!" Izuru said while walking in the city with a slight bow. People looked towards Izuru because of his scarred state, blood, and torn clothes.

Izuru then walked into the guild and placed the Quest paper he had completed at the reception desk. "It's all done!" Izuru.

"Are you okay? Can someone please take this master to the clinic?" The receptionist called for someone to help Izuru.

"No need, I'm fine. Just give me my money!"

"It's a payday for everything." The word receptionist gave Izuru a bag of money. Then Izuru left with the money.
