Chapter 30 - The Necromancer

Undead who managed to enter the village were killed one by one by everyone there. There were also some undead who had instead dodged and tried to go deeper into the village. "Damn! If this continues, the fortress could be destroyed!" Izuru said inwardly, suddenly the ground shook and the sound of smashing sounded from the outside of the fortress. As Izuru turned around, he saw a four large tentacles clutching the upper fortress until it was almost destroyed.

"Everyone, shoot...!" Shouted the leader of the archer soldiers from the tower. The archers fired at the tentacles until they finally stopped gripping the fort.

"Someone, call Mr. Shun! We need help here!" Said the Commander who was defending from the undead invasion. The other soldiers also began to get tired from the undead that did not run out.

"I'll call him!" Izuru said then ran towards the tower.

"Shan! Lona! We need help!" Izuru shouted while running inside the tower. Then they both emerged from the underground stairs.

"What's up!?" Ask Shun.

"Undead sprung up inside the fortress!" Answer Izuru.

"How can it be!?" Ask Shun.

"There's no time to explain, just let's help!" Izuru said then ran out.

"Iona, I'll help at the fort." Shun said while wearing his gear.

"I'll come!"

"No, you stay here. I'll be right back!" Shun said then ran out.

Izuru and Shun arrived at the back of the fortress filled with Undead. "Master Shun! Finally, the master came!"

"Everybody back! I'll take it all out at once!" Said Shun then holding his sword with two hands, then around him appeared a golden-coloured aura that enveloped Shun's sword. "Be prepared! Hiiyyaa...!" Shun swung his sword and killed everything at once.

"Master Shun is great!" Shouted the soldiers and adventurers willingly there.

"Was.... Can I match that power?" Izuru said in his heart.

"It's so sad!" Shouted someone from outside the fort. Then suddenly the fortress was destroyed because of the big tentacles and there the girl appeared again in the big hole of the fort. "You're late defending that wall." Said the Girl. The long white haired girl with glowing red eyes.

"Gun!" Iona suddenly came from behind.

"Iona!? What are you doing here?" Ask Shun.

"The Necromancer!?" Iona said as she looked at the girl in the castle hole.

"Necromancers? It was only fitting that he could awaken the Undead within the fortress." Izuru.

"What is your purpose in attacking this village?" Ask Shun.

"My destination? Of course I want to take that sword you brought." The Necromancer Girl said as she pointed towards Shun's sword. "People like you don't deserve to use that sword!"

"Hm! That's why I agree too!" Izuru said in his heart.

"I won't give you this sword!" Shun.

"Who asked you to hand it over? It's not exciting if you hand it over, I'd better take it at once with your hand." Said the Necromancer girl. Suddenly an explosion was heard from behind them.

"What's that!?"

"Oh yeah, I haven't told you that I ordered the monsters to attack the rear fort." Said the Necromancer girl.

"Owh, so you're trying to be a hero, aren't you?" Ask the Necromancer Girl.

"I'll beat you right now! You guys, take care of the Undead who enter the village!" Shun shouted forward towards the Necromancer.

"Shun, stop!" Shouted Iona.

"It's stupid to use melee weapons against me." The Necromancer Girl said. As Shun attacked with his sword, the girl directly repelled him with her bare hands.

"What's!? You can fend it off..?" Shun asked in surprise.

"I told you, a man like you doesn't deserve to use that sword." The girl said then behind Shun appeared undead from under the hold and clasped Shun's hands together.

"Gun!" Shouted Iona.

"What are you guys doing? Didn't I tell you to deal with the incoming Undead?" Shun asked still unable to move.

"It's desperate to still be arrogant." Izuru said then ran over and slashed at the Undead holding Shun. When Shun was free, he slashed straight at the Necromancer Girl. But the girl jumped straight back. "From you!" Said Izuru trying to slash at the girl, but again he managed to dodge the attack.

Shun then attacked along with Izuru. "Let's attack!" Shun Shouted.

"Yes!" Answer Izuru. Then they charged towards the girl's neck from the opposite direction. But their swords were instantly captured by him.

"Why don't you guys ever learn?" The girl asked and then pulled out Izuru's sword, then when Izuru was interested in approaching the girl immediately strangled Izuru and threw her.

"Waaa...!" Izuru fell to the ground. Then the girl also pulls Shun's sword and then kicks Shun's stomach until he bounces far enough away.

"Because of you! Ground element!" Said the girl suddenly appearing a surge of ground that hit Shun's back violently.

"Armghh..!" Shun bounced forward, fell to the ground and dropped his sword.

The girl came and stepped on the sword. "I told you, right? You don't deserve to use this sword." The Necromancer girl said then wanted to take the sword. But, suddenly an arrow shot out and almost hit his hand.

"I'll shoot you in the head if I dare to touch that sword!" Rin said he was ready to shoot again.

"So that's what you want?" The girl asked, and she threw the same bottle as before. Unknowingly Rin's gaze became focused on the bottle in the air. "Stupid!" The girl then swung her hand to the side and appeared five black blades floating in the air, then darted towards Rin.

Rin could not avoid the attack being forced to accept everything until it pierced through his skin many times. "Hhh...!" Rin's shout pierced through all the launched knives and then fell helplessly.

"Rin!" Izuru shouted and then woke up. Just as the flung bottle fell to the ground, all the liquid from within the bottle spread on the ground where Iona was standing, and then the undead emerged from within the ground.

"Iona!? How is this, what am I supposed to do? Prevent the girl from taking Shun's sword or save Iona?" Izuru asked inwardly, then he ran towards Iona. "I will save my friend! What do I care about Shun's sword?" Izuru said inwardly then slashed down all the Undead that appeared.

"Izuru, thank you." Iona.

"Liss! Please help me again, just like that time!" Said Izuru while glancing towards Iona.

"All right!" Iona then touched Izuru's back and said. "Blessing!" Instantly Izuru's body gave off a golden aura.

"Good! Let's do it!"
