Chapter 117 - Monsters in the Dark

A few hours before the fight with Nathasia. Izuru, Iona, Destra, and Meiro are searching the bottom floor of Fhsyle for the existence of Magic Artifacts that hold the form of Legendary Weapons.

But they didn't get any results. Of course because Nathasia had already taken it long before they came.

However, a fortune fell from the sky and broke the window glass near them. That noble boy who fell in front of Iona.

"Huaaa....!? What'sthat?" Iona asked jumping in shock at the sound of the broken window glass. Iona was the only one there.

Realizing that falling thing is someone who is still alive. Iona approached him and saw his condition. "Hey, are you okay?" Ask Iona.

"Uggh.... Please..."

"What's up, what's up?"

"I was kidnapped here by two women..." Said the boy limp.

"A kidnaped..? Are you the noble boy that people mean!?"

"Yes..."

"Do you know who kidnapped you? Maybe his name or his features."

"She's a white-haired adult woman, that's all I remember." Answer the boy.

"That's also what the soldiers above said. Ah yes, you must be in pain, I'll help you take this rope off." Iona's words helped remove the rope that tied the boy.

Right after that conversation Izuru and the others were walking to Iona's place. Iona shouted to them. After everything had gathered, Iona began to tell him everything she had heard from the noble boy.

"That means that Nathasia has obtained the Legendary Weapon...!?" Izuru asked in surprise.

"Do you know the shape of the weapon?" Iona asked the noble boy.

"I only saw a bright light. I didn't know it was a weapon." Answer the boy.

"The family that houses the chosen ones, right? Then just mention what weapons have not been found." Ask Destra to Iona.

"As far as I'm concerned there's a Sword, Dagger, Bow, Wand, Gloves, Hammer, and Armor. So the ones that haven't been found are the Axe, Spear, Shield, Scythe, Book of Magic."

"There are 5 possibilities, everyone remembers that!" Destra.

"We must quickly take the weapon and give it to the supposed owner." Izuru.

"Later Izuru, we'll need a plan for that." Iona.

After they discussed each other briefly, a simple plan was finally formed. Sergap, take, run.

"Remember Izuru! Your goal is just to pick it up and go!" Iona.

"My goal is just to take the Legendary Weapon and take it away as far as possible! I'm also sure this is the legendary weapon, because of the great energy it radiates." Izuru said in his heart. He ran as fast as he could away from Nathasia.

Nathasia who was starting to grow furious with her current state gritted her teeth and instantly shattered the ice that was holding her back. The hand was raised towards Izuru who was already quite far ahead.

"Dark Rebirth!"

The place suddenly shook violently, the floor and walls also started to crack. Izuru who was running quickly could not stop his steps and ended up falling from the shock. From below came a loud rumbling sound that felt closer and closer.

And out came the great black snake that almost ate Izuru there. The snake looked down at Izuru and attacked again. Izuru jumped dodging the attack of the huge snake. He ran from the snake leaving behind the legendary weapon earlier. The snake continued to chase after Izuru, its body while repeatedly crashing into the surrounding walls because the passageway was a little too narrow for the large animal.

"Stupid, not him! Pursue the witch there!" Nathasia ordered the snake.

The snake immediately turned around and shot towards Nathasia. Nathasia gave way to the snake, after passing through it it was Izuru's turn to face Nathasia. Iona who saw the large animal coming towards him immediately fled.

The snake smashed through the end wall of the passageway and brought its entire body into the lower residential area. Everyone who saw the huge snake in the middle of the large area was running inside their homes. Iona stopped because she did not know where to run, she turned her head back and saw that the big snake was heading towards her at high speed.

Iona swiftly took out a protective magic and was hit hard by the snake. Iona bounces up to one of the windows, the window breaks and Iona is thrown inside.

"Argh... My back..." Iona said on the floor full of broken glass. He looked the other way, seen a mother with her child seemed to be sheltering in the corner of the room hugging each other.

The big snake again attacked, he barged into the house. Moments later his head came back out and there were many dark warriors belonging to Iona who pierced the head of the snake and carried it out.

"You guys let's get out of here! Use another way to go up! Take the others as well, let's go!" Iona said help the child and the mother wake up.

After the men left, Iona opened the shelves in the kitchen of the house and seemed to be looking for something. He threw a few bottles out and took a small bottle.

"It's not a Mana recovery potion, but it's better than nothing." Iona said, then opened the lid of the glass bottle and drank it out.

Iona then went out through a large hole in the house, seen the dark warrior he let out can still inhibit the snake. Until now the snake still had difficulty attacking one by one the soldiers of darkness. Iona cast a spell and let out more dark warriors to attack the snake.

Rumbling from the left, Iona looked at the sound and saw the tail of the snake wagging towards him while destroying one by one the houses there.

"What...!?" Shouted Iona in surprise, he immediately jumped down to avoid the snake tail wagging.

Houses were destroyed along with their insides due to the snake attack. Rumbling sounds filled the area, tremors were also felt as far as the city above. Iona fell to the ground hard to the point of injuring her ankle. But there was no time for silence, as debris began to fall towards him. Withstanding the pain in his legs he ran away from the debris of the falling building.

"Armghhh...!" Iona stumbled and fell. He then looked towards his ankle that was beginning to swell.

While the snake finds Iona who is helpless below. Iona looked at the snake with a panicked expression. The snake instantly opened its mouth and shot towards Iona below.

The snake then raised its head and Iona was seen with half her body in the snake's mouth.
