Chapter 13 - Level System!

The moments in my life have slowed down. That's what people would feel, if they were hit by a rock-hard slime at high speed. I was hungry, but now I'm not, maybe that's the only good thing about this. "Izuru's... Izuru's... Izuru!" I heard a faint voice in my ear. I opened my eyes slowly, and in front of me was Rin's face looking at me. "Ah, she's awake!" Said Rin sitting near Izuru.

"Where?" Iona asked suddenly looking from above. "Good then." The connection then left in front of Izuru.

"Ugh... Did I faint?" Izuru asked, getting up and sitting on the ground, while looking at Iona who was shooting at some slimes with strange lights.

"Yes, just a few minutes." Answer Rin. Izuru hit Rin on the head. "Ouch! Why are you!?" Rin asked while holding her head.

"You said slime was harmless!"

"Yes, I've never faced a slime before." Rin said smilingly as she touched her cheek with a finger.

"Bas with you, if you don't know, don't be ignorant!" Izuru said then stood up, but suddenly his stomach suddenly hurt again. "Ouch! My stomach still hurts, but I have to hold it. Maybe someday I should keep fighting even in worse circumstances." Izuru said in his heart.

"Is it no longer painful?"

"No already! I'm strong, don't underestimate me!" Said Izuru bragging. "Now I have to practice fighting! Hiyaa...!!!" Shouted Izuru then ran back towards one of the slimes, then slashed at the small slime from above. But, Izuru's slash was still shallow, then he drew his sword and slashed it once more until the slime was split in half. "Slime's easy to kill, but the damage's great." Izuru said then he saw a light in his hand. "Woah, what is this!?" Izuru asked in surprise. Then he ran towards Rin and Iona.

"It's tired, go home yuk." Iona said as she fanned her face with her hands.

"Corn!" Rin said, sitting under the tree beside Iona.

"Go home, finish first and then we go home! Take a look at this!" Said Izuru coming then showing the symbol in his glowing hand.

"Why?" Ask Rin.

"Look at this glow after I killed one slime earlier."

"Hm... You just level up." Rin.

"Good level? Turns out there's a level system in this world too?" Izuru asked in admiration. "Well, can there be monitor windows or something."

"Of course, weren't you told when you signed up for the guild?" Ask Rin.

"Ehe, actually I was too busy looking at the receptionist's chest as she explained a few things. It's one of those receptionists, because he wears such skimpy clothes!" Izuru said inwardly recalling the incident this morning. "I forgot, can you please explain?"

"That level is the marker point of your experience against monsters, so the more you kill the greater your level will be." Rin clearly.

"Can this level open up a skill?"

"If the skill has to be learned, some elemental skills are easy to learn. But for unique skills like healing or teleportation it can only be used by the magician class." Rin clearly.

"Owh... So how do I see my level?" Ask Izuru.

"Leave swing your hands down gently."

"Let me try!" Izuru then swung his right hand from top to bottom, but nothing happened, maybe Izuru was too fast. "Where? Nothing happened." Izuru asked, but on the other hand Iona tried it and could immediately.

"Can." Iona said a little amazed.

"really!? Where, I can't see it?" Izuru asked closer to Iona.

"Nobody can see the status of others." Rin.

"Why can't I? Come outside!" Izuru said then swung his hand many times quickly.

"Slow down." Rin.

"I'm level 4." Said Iona looking at her level at the top end of the left monitor.

"Level 4? That you, Rin?"

"I'm level 7."

"Well! Just look, I will definitely surpass the level of the two of you!" Izuru.

"Actually that level doesn't really matter, it's just a marker. But, some people can have special skills at a certain level and that's also just the chosen ones." Rin clearly.

After some talk, Izuru looked up and found out that it was already late afternoon. "Let's finish this quest quickly." Izuru said, then they vigorously killed all the slimes, until Iona ran out of mana and Rin ran out of arrows. The two of them then just sat under the tree while watching Izuru do everything by themselves. When night fell, they returned to the guild to take the payment.

"This is your payment, 2 pieces of silver." The receptionist said that Izuru received the money and went towards Rin and Iona who were waiting for him outside.

"What two silvers can we all eat?" Izuru asked after arriving before the two of them.

"2 silver? Of course less." Answer Iona.

"Then what are we gonna eat?" Ask Rin.

"Why ask me? You guys just go home!" Izuru said furiously.

"No way, I just came from a far country to work here. I don't have a place to live." Iona.

"I also have no money to rent lodging." Rin.

"That's my business!?" Ask Izuru.

"Of course, the receptionist said that all party members should look after each other under any circumstances. You could get hit by the law if you abandon us." Obviously Iona.

"Then I'll get you out of the party!"

"It is impossible, to issue a member must use the consent of several party members, not only with personal approval, even if you are the chairman." Rin clearly urged Izuru more and more.

"Then I'm out of this party!"

"Party chiefs cannot leave the party unless only one member remains." Iona.

"Where are you going?" Ask them both at the same time.

"Follow it out." Izuru continued walking, followed by Rin and Iona. They continued walking until they came out of the gate and headed towards the forest. "Hey, where are we really going?" Ask Rin.

"I know there's a river around here. While I was still on the cliff, I saw a river in the middle of the forest. I wish I could find him." Izuru said in his heart. They passed through the trees until they saw a vast plain without trees. They immediately went there and saw a river that was quite swift in the middle of the forest. "Meet!"

"What's? It's just a river." Ask Iona.

"Tonight we spend the night here!" Izuru said loudly.

"Eh...? Just right!!!???" Shouted Rin and Iona.
