Chapter 52

Jonathan stood in the hallway of his apartment with anxiety surrounding him. Something felt wrong, and he wanted to find out what was really going on. His presence there was only to ascertain the truth, even though he wished himself wrong.

While waiting there, he took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it with a lighter and sucked it.

"Sir Jonathan?" hello Bimo.

The janitor was carrying a bucket and mop when passing near Jonathan.

"Oh. You, Bim. Still work?" ask Jonathan.

"Yes, sir," replied Bimo. "Sir Jonathan what's going on here? I think he now has a new hobby hanging out in the hallway of the apartment," he continued.

"Mahaha ...." Jonathan laughed with Bimo's words. "For the kids here, smoking while hoping for a beautiful girl to come. Who knows a soul mate" he replied.

"If you want to meet a pretty girl in a nightclub, it's a lot, sir. Here rarely people pass by," said Bimo.

"You want to smoke, Bim?" Jonathan offered her a brand new cigarette.

"No, sir, thank you. If I join smoking with you later even forget to work. Excuse me for work. Fear of being fired" Bimo said.

"Haha ... If you get fired from here, just move on to cleaning service in my office. Without an interview, I will accept you immediately" pleaded Jonathan.

"No, Sir. Thank ye. It's been good here a lot of friends. But maybe if this apartment is bankrupt, then I think to apply for work to the office of the Father."

"Haha ... Yes, there is diligent work, who knows how to quickly rise to office!"

"Ready, Sir. Excuse me, have a good time" Bimo said as he left the place where Jonathan stood.

Jonathan continued his smoking. His eyes returned to the door of Sandi's apartment.

Soon, Jonathan sees a woman coming out of the apartment owned by Sandi. Jonathan's heart thumped as he realized that the woman was Rima, Arjun's wife. It felt as if the world had stopped spinning. Jonathan's cigarette fell to the floor.

"Yes, what a coincidence. Where are you from, Rima's mother?" ask Jonathan.

"Ah, that, I just came from a friend's place for a moment" said Rima.

"From a friend's place? What friend is father-in-law?" jonathan Syndicate.

Rima looked at Jonathan's words. He was immediately frightened if the man would complain to Arjun.

"Didn't that apartment unit belong to Sandi, your father-in-law?" ask Jonathan.

Rima was silent for a moment, looking for the right words to explain this complicated situation. "Jonathan, I'm just playing to a friend's place. This has nothing to do with my father-in-law" Rima replied in a trembling voice.

Jonathan did not accept Rima's explanation. "What friend is your own father-in-law? What really happened between you?" jonathan said in a sharp tone.

Rima was unable to give a satisfactory answer. He knew that the forbidden secret they both had to keep hidden. In a panic, Rima hurriedly passed from before Jonathan, leaving him in doubt and confusion.

"Em, Sorry, yeah. I gotta get going. I have business!" rima said as he went as fast as lightning from there.

Jonathan was still standing in the hallway of the apartment, watching Rima leave with mixed feelings. He was confused as to whether he should face Arjun and tell him about what he had just witnessed. His heart is torn between loyalty to their friendship and his desire to reveal the truth to Arjun.

After thinking for a moment, Jonathan made a difficult decision. He chooses to give Arjun a chance to find out the truth himself. He did not want to be the cause of the rift in their relationship, but he also could not let the lies continue.

Jonathan sighed deeply and sought back the courage that existed. "How's this? What am I supposed to do?" he said to himself.
