Chapter 43
After dealing with guilt and dissatisfaction, Rima decided to put back the clothes that were strewn on the floor. His face still reflected the uneasiness and uncertainty over his decision. He tried to tidy up his messy hair and put on makeup that looked tangled.
Just then, Sandi came out of the bathroom wearing only a towel around her waist. Water still dripped from his still-wet body. He approached Rima with slow steps and hugged her tightly.
"Don't go home, Rima. Stay here with me" whispered Sandi in a seducing tone.
Rima tries to break away from Sandi's embrace, "Pa, I have to go home now. Mas Arjun and Renjun must have been waiting at home."
"We go home together, it's late" asked Sandi.
Rima. "Later the house-person is suspicious. I'll take a taxi" he said.
"You didn't shower first?" ask Sandi.
"No" answered Rima briefly.
The two of them stared at each other, filled with a sense that was hard to express. Then, Rima took a step slowly leaving the room. Sandi watched Rima's departure with a wounded heart.
As the door closed, Sandi sat on the edge of the bed with mixed feelings. He knows that this forbidden relationship does not continue, but his love is still burning.
He felt confused and stuck in conflicting feelings. Sandi realizes that she must find a better way out, both for herself and for Rima and her family.
Meanwhile, Rima walked out of the house with a heavy heart. He felt burdened by the secrets he had to keep and the inner contradictions that continued to hit. His conscience screams for him to end the forbidden relationship, but the temptations and emotions involving Sandi sometimes make him waver.
Upon arriving at his house, Rima was greeted by Arjun who was sitting in the living room. Arjun looked at his wife with concern, "You're late coming home, Rima. What's going on?"
Arjun grabs Rima's hand attentively, "You know, we have to share and support each other in every way. If there's a problem, tell me."
Rima felt overwhelmed by Arjun's kindness, but the guilt further tormented her. He wants to reveal everything, but his fear of hurting Arjun and destroying their family's happiness makes him reluctant.
Rima smiled at the smile. "It's okay, Mom. Just a little office work, okay. Biasa, if the end of the month is like a pile of work," he said.
Arjun looks relieved breathing. He patted his wife's head gently. "Next time tell me if there's any business" he asked.
"I've sent Yunita a message, right. Didn't he tell you?" ask Rima.
"Yes, he said. But, I'm not satisfied that you didn't tell me" Arjun said.
"Yes, Mas. Tomorrow I'll let you know. I want to take a shower first, yes, very tired of it," said Rima. He rushed into the bathroom after putting his things down.

That night, Rima lay on their bed with a chaotic mind. He felt a deep emptiness and confusion. He knew that there had to be a change in his life, but he had not yet found a way to do so.
Meanwhile, Sandi sits in her apartment, pondering about what has happened. He realizes that his love for Rima is something that cannot be forced. He felt the need to make every effort to maintain this forbidden relationship.
