CL - 18. Meet Nina

Three months later...

Three months later, Nina contacted me through Mama. He asked me to meet him. I don't know what he's saying yet, but since I first heard his voice, I'm sure something's happened. I also granted her request to meet. But I just got to see him on the weekend. Finally, they met at a restaurant not far from home.

For the past three months since their marriage, I have rarely communicated with him let alone Tefan. Never at all. I don't know anything about their marriage either, happy, or otherwise. But I really hope they are okay, living well together and happy regardless of Tefan and Papa's affairs.

Since I came by Nina every day I've been so unsettled. I tried not to think about it but the more I tried, the more the thought of Nina and Tefan kept on interrupting. Papa and Mama don't know if Tefan and Nina are actually married. I haven't discussed these two since I came here three months ago and they never mentioned Tefan again.

“What's Riana? You look tense.” Ask Mama.

“It's okay Ma. Nina asked to meet and I wonder why she suddenly asked to meet and did not just come to the house.”

“When will you meet?”

“Late next week Ma.”

“Meet me, hopefully nothing.”

At home, I have a new habit. Embroiders. The mama taught. The results of Mama's hands are beautiful, some displays at home are also the work of Mama's embroidery.

Her hands are magical, she can even embroider while watching TV. His eyes were on the TV but his hands just kept moving with agility. I have not been able to match his greatness, instead I was stabbed several times because it was not right to see the hole.

In addition to embroidery, Mama can also knit. I don't know where that skill came from. Though as I remember when he was a child he never held these things.

Mama also often gets orders but she does not want to on the grounds that she only works as a hobby not for business. So every order that comes is all in love with Mama's friends who are members of the handmade community carried by RT.

I'll see Nina at lunch. I've been waiting at the restaurant we agreed to. About ten minutes of waiting, Nina had already come up with her relaxed style. Nothing had changed much from her since her marriage, except for her pale, uninspired face.

“Not too long. Please sit.”

Nina sat down but she did not say any words. He was just silent and I became even more suspicious when I saw the look on his face that looked sad.

“Nin, are you okay? Why is it so sad? You're the same Tefan is fine, right? He hurt you?” I clicked with the question, as soon as I saw that there was a puddle in both of his eyes and there was some sort of emotion he was trying to hold back.

“Why didn't you say Yan.” He said half sob.

“Say what? Why are you suddenly like this? What happened?”

“Tefan already told everything.”

“What story?”

“About you. About his feelings, about his Papa and everything.” Nina's crying broke.

I was stunned to see the woman I knew as a close friend cry.

Why is Tefan so stupid about telling everything and hurting women who never hurt him*?

I was nervous and didn't know what to say. Words like the disgrace of my esophagus and my tongue cuckling to say anything.

“Why didn't you ever tell Yan? Why did you choose to stay away like this?”

“Yan. This is your last chance. If what I give you now doesn't want you to hold, then I will never leave Tefan with you forever. I've talked about it with my lawyer, I'm going to file for divorce with Tefan.”

“Nin, don't be rash.”

In front of Mama I told her everything, teary-eyed and even to a hiccup. Mama switched hugs I didn't say anything just hugging. Turns out right, hugs can mean anything. And Mama's current hug is like a miracle drug that makes me feel so calm. Only in Mama's arms do I find heaven. Mama what am I supposed to do? My words.

“Now Mama asked, you still love Tefan? Still want to be with Tefan? You know what risks you'd run into if you wanted to stay with Tefan?
