"Great master!" greet Vira with a surprised tone. Angga silently stared at Vira. Suddenly Vira looked down in fear. Several days Vira was in the Atmaja family home. Even Vira was not talking to Angga.
"Don't big your head. I'm meeting you, just trying to warn you. Azzam may be crazy about you, but I'll never admit you!" said Angga cynically, Vira lowered her head without daring to raise her face.
Angga's voice was like lightning that struck his body. Crushing his bones from the beginning was weak and fragile. Angga's words were like a knife that cut his heart thin. It hurt until Vira couldn't breathe. Cold Angga attitude as cold as night. It felt lonely and silent without affection for her. Vira is weak and unable to stand, but Vira tries to stand. For her little self-esteem left.
"I understand!" vira said, Angga smiled cynically.
He stared at Vira from head to toe. Angga shook his head slowly. He did not expect, Azzam could love a simple woman like Vira. A woman with no advantages in front of her. A poor woman who wants to live with her family. Someone who only deserves to be ART in his house. Not the daughter-in-law or mother of the future heir to his family.
"Whoever are you? We will soon have a big banquet at home. I need you to stay here until the show is over. Don't go out or try to see Azzam. I don't want everyone to know you as Azzam's wife. Do whatever you like in this place. Because you deserve better in this room, not in my son's room!" said Angga cynically, Vira looked down deeper and deeper.
Vira was no longer able to look at Angga. He was angry and disappointed to hear the insults and mockery of Angga. People who are very respected, although never Angga assume its existence. Only for the sake of Azzam, Vira received the status of a wife. For the sake of Azzam, Vira was strong in the house of Atmaja.
"One more thing, don't ever tell Azzam. I asked you to stay here. If you speak, you are a low and lowly woman. You just want to live in my house. As well as wanting to separate me from my son Azzam!" angga said coldly not hearted.
Vira nodded without disquieting. Vira closed the door and locked it. Right after the Angga came out of the special laundry room. Vira doesn't want anyone else to find her. Vira sits on a thin foam mattress in the room. Vira sat there thinking of her mother who was far away from her. The restroom where Vira was, was none other than the room where her mother used to work.
Rooms that only contain dirty clothes and dry clothes that must be ironed. A drop of Vira's tears fell. He felt a great longing for his mother. Vira felt the loneliness of her mother. Being in a cramped room and doing endless menial work. Being a washing worker in the big house of the Atmaja family. Vira covered her face with both her legs.
"Mother, I miss you!" inner Vira pilu.
Vira stared at the clock on the wall of ART's special restroom. The clock shows exactly at 19:30 Wib. Azzam is coming home soon. He came home late, due to pick up one of his co-workers at the airport. Vira may be poor, but she is not a cheap woman as Angga says. He would not let Angga be right with his opinion. Vira will make sure she is not in the banquet. Vira does not care about the assumption of Angga. Now Vira only cares about her self-esteem which is humbled by Angga.
Vira turned off her phone, shortly after replying to Azzam's message. Vira said she would rest first. So there's no need for Azzam to wake her up, for dinner. Vira does not want Azzam to look for her and force her to come down. Vira chose to do her mother's duties first. At least now Vira is proud, she does not eat for free in this house. Vira works for the rice she eats.
"Mother, forgive Vira. All this time I worked hard for Vira. Before Vira can make mom happy. Vira chose to marry Azzam's sister. A marriage that was never approved of by her family. A big decision in Vira's life, a decision that changed Vira's life. Forgive Vira who can't boast of you. Vira lets others look down on us. But Vira promised to be happy, even though Vira's tears flowed endlessly. Mom, Vira misses you. Vira was in the room where mom worked. Vira feels your presence, Vira wants to hug you!" inner Vira pilu.
...☆☆☆☆☆...
At exactly 20:00 WIB, the banquet began. Azzam's co-workers came one by one. No exception Nadya's family who came as a close relative of the Atmaja family. Nadya came in a pretty dress. Azzam wore a clean white shirt. Azzam's simple appearance became the center of attention. He looks mature and handsome. Even if I only wear a shirt without a suit.
"Mama, why did Vira break faster? Does he look sick at home?" whispered Azzam worriedly, Melda turned to Azzam. Then he turned his head towards Angga who was right beside him.
Melda looked at the clingy Angga. As if Azzam's question, Angga who knows the answer. But Angga tried to shift his eyes, so that Azzam did not realize the signal from Melda.
"Azzam darling, why don't you go upstairs? You ask Vira directly. Mira was just pretending to rest. So you don't take her to dinner with us!" melda said softly, Azzam fell silent and shook his head. Angga smiled triumphantly. At first glance Angga was frightened, if Azzam went to look for Vira. Because his rotten plan will be discovered by Azzam.
"Just leave him alone, maybe he's ashamed to be among the honorable people!" suhut Angga ketus, Melda shook her head slowly. He did not expect, Angga would do that to his son Azzam.
"Papa, she's my legal wife. Don't you ever insult her in front of me!" sahut Azzam was cold, then away from Angga. Azzam sat in the chair provided.
Azzam he stared at the plate in front of him. His appetite disappeared, there was only Vira in his mind. The delicious food in front of him was unable to awaken his veins. Azzam kept his plate empty.
"Sir Azzam wants to eat what? Nadya get!" nadya said, Azzam was surprised when Nadya's hand touched it. Azzam brusquely brushed off Nadya's hand. Without Azzam noticing, Nadya sat down beside him. Angga deliberately asked Nadya to sit next to Azzam.
"Don't touch me, get away from me!" azzam said rudely, then stood about to leave.
"Azzam, sit back. You don't see, there are a lot of guests here. Take care of your attitude, Nadya can be your companion. Don't destroy the company's reputation with your inappropriate attitude!" said Angga cold and firm. Finally Azzam sat back, Azzam did not want to tarnish the good name of his company. Azzam tried to keep his family's good name.
"Azzam, where are you going? Nadya's parents haven't come home yet. Unbecoming, the host was being disrespectful!" yelled Angga, just as he saw Azzam running towards his room.
Azzam didn't care about Angga's screams. Meeting Vira was his priority. Nearly two hours later, Azzam fidgets at the thought of Vira. At exactly 22.30 WIB, the event is over and all guests go home. Azzam was no longer able to contain his anxiety. He went straight to his room. Vira, only Vira is in his mind.
"Papa, Azzam has gone to his room. Be prepared to see his anger. During the banquet, papa saw for himself the Azzam plate remained upside down. He didn't touch any food. He worriedly thought about Vira and forgot about her hunger. Imagine if Vira were gone, what would happen to your son? Now you might have the heart to see Azzam starving. Later will you be able to see the destruction of your son!" whispered Melda down, then left Angga. Melda left without waiting for Angga's reply.
Melda walked towards the room where Vira had locked herself. Melda sees even hearing the insults and threats of Angga on Vira. Melda was silent and did not forbid. Melda wants Angga to see the destruction of her son. So that he realizes the meaning of Vira in Azzam's life. But Melda was wrong, Angga was still the great lord of the heartless Atmaja. The Anga is untouchable or pitying. Seeing his son's hunger and anxiety.
"Mama, Vira's not in the room!" yelled Azzam hysterically. Everyone was shocked to hear Azzam's screams echoing inside the house.
Azzam came down while running, he was not afraid of falling. Azzam was afraid to see Vira was not in his room. Azzam began to understand the meaning of his heart's restlessness. Azzam regretted not looking for Vira since. If only Azzam had been looking for Vira. Maybe he won't lose Vira again.
"Darling, where have you been?" said Azzam worriedly, while pulling Vira's hand. Azzam put a basket of clothes on the stairs. Azzam hugged Vira's body tightly. Nadya stared cynically at Azzam and Vira. Angga began to worry about Azzam's anger.
Vira passed Azzam on the stairs. Vira carried a basket with her clothes and Azzam. Vira comes out of the room, after Melda picks her up and says the show is over. Without much talking Vira walked towards her room. On the stairs, Vira meets Azzam.
"Let go, I'm tired. I need to rest. Just continue the show!" vira said as she let go of Azzam's embrace.
"Darling!" azzam said astonishedly, he held down Vira's hand. Again and again let go of Azzam's hand. Vira bent over taking out the clothes. Vira walks past Azzam, Vira gasps with a basket full of clothes.
"Darling!" azzam said while holding Vira's hand tightly.
"Take off, I beg you. This basket is so heavy, I'm so tired. Can't you let me go. There Nadya and your family are waiting!"
"The virus!" azzam cried out in emotion, he snatched the basket from Vira's hand.
BRAAAKKKK
"You my wife isn't ART, no one's asking you to do all this. I'm worried thinking about you. Not appreciating me, you cornered me. As if I'm happy to be with your friend!" azzam said furiously, just after throwing the basket. Vira looked at Azzam, then walked down the stairs.
Vira crouched down picking up the clothes she had just ironed. Vira put it back in the basket. Vira has to take him back later. Vira walked towards her room. He stopped right in front of Azzam.
"I took a break first, afraid I couldn't go to college. If this iron is not finished!" vira said, then went upstairs.
PRYYAAAARRR
"What's up Vira? Why are you cold?" azzam's inner moment after punching the glass stuck to the wall.
"Azzam!" melda shouted hysterically, she ran with Nadya. Fresh blood flowed along with the falling glass.
"Let go, am I okay?"
"Azzam, mama will treat your wounds. So that it doesn't hurt!" melda said worriedly.
"My hands are not as painful as my heart, seeing Vira's cold and sick attitude!" Azzam.
"Where are you, baby? My hands hurt, didn't you hear the sound of the broken glass!" inner Azzam Pilu, looking up at his room.
