"Mi, where are you from? Abi noticed lately that he often comes out. What's outside?" tanya Ikram is deliberately waiting for Ain's arrival in the middle room of the house.
He glanced at Ain's two hands filled with plastic bags for what. Ain stepped leisurely towards Ikram. He put the bag he was carrying on the table before taking Ikram's hand and kissing it.
"Umi has a small business outside, Bi. Well ... good enough, to meet the needs of the kitchen. Abi's shop, isn't it, broke. So Umi has to find money to meet our needs," Ain replied as he landed his butt on the sofa.
Ikram was still unmoved, staring suspiciously at his first wife.
"Don't do anything, Mi! Umi knew what Abi could do with it," growled Ikram with glowing red eyes.
"Abi take it easy, Umi does not do things like that. This Umi buy food, today quite get money even a little," said Ain did not want to care about the Kram glaring at him. He opened the package, there were six packs of rice field that he bought.
Ain acted calmer today. Peace as before, but still suspicious for Ikram.
"Umi knew and Umi realized Umi's attitude had been very outrageous. For that Umi apologized to Abi, Umi hoped Abi could forgive all the mistakes Umi had done. If necessary Umi will make up for it by any means."
Ain looked at Ikram from where he was sitting, the man did not even turn his face away from his wife for a second.
"Why? What Abi does not believe is that Umi has realized all and regretted the mistake that Umi had done-"
"Ah .. is okay, maybe Umi does not deserve to be forgiven. It's okay, Umi understood," Ain continued as he stood up to leave the place.
He walked down, on his face was clearly reflected all forms of regret. Ikram took a look at each side of Ain. That woman, she who patiently undergoes every test of life in the early days of marriage. He also never complained even though the circumstances were far from enough at that time. How could I throw it away?
"Mi!" call her in a soft tone and almost whisper. Ain halted his steps, but had not yet turned back from his back to Ikram.
"What did Umi say was really from Umi's heart? Or just Umi's trick?" tanya Ikram who struck Ain's heart cruelly.
The woman's shoulder went up, then down again. A long sigh sounded heavy in Ikram's ear.
"If Abi doesn't want to believe it, it's okay. Umi also understood. Umi will wait until Abi opens his heart to forgive Umi," Ain said as he continued slowly.
The thumping crease pulled out Ain's hand, and brought him back to sit on the sofa. Ain bowed, occasionally wiping the water that suddenly came out of his eyes.
"How did Umi regret it?" tanya Ikram wanted to see how serious Ain was in apologizing to him.
"Umi will apologize to Nadia, for that Umi will support Abi looking for Nadia. If necessary, we both go looking for him," Ain replied looking at Ikram with his eyes condensing.
The crisp, she smiled at Ain's soothing words.
"Alright then, Abi hope this is not only Umi's wits, but really sincere from Umi's heart." Ikram hoped that Ain really regretted all his wrong actions all along.
Ain nodded his head while smiling.
"Yes already, Bi. It's eaten, for Yuni too." Ain opened the package and gave one to Ikram, "Yun! Eat here, I'll buy you lunch" he continued, calling Yuni who was in his room.
Without saying anything, the woman who was breastfeeding came out of the room and approached them.
"A lot, Brother! For anyone?" yuni asked with sparkling eyes looking at the packet of rice paddies on the table.
"Yes, this is for the children as well," Ain replied while giving a pack for Yuni.
"Thank you" he said. Yuni sat down with them, opened her portion of rice and ate it with her husband and older sister. It would feel peaceful if Ain had behaved like this from the very beginning. It is possible that Nadia will not leave and their lives will be harmonious and full of love.
While at Nadia's house, Ikram's three children are still moody. The faces of grief are clearly drawn. Nadia's legs were without saying goodbye, making them hit. Supposedly, it left a trace. Minimum of a letter.
"Bilal, Nafisah, eat first you will be sick" said Ruby as the eldest child. He brought two dishes of fried rice to where they were.
"I'm not hungry, brother." Bilal pulled his leg and hugged his knee. He dropped his chin on his knees without even glancing at the rice Ruby was carrying.
Ruby sighed.
"Always like that, every time you are asked to eat you always answer I am not hungry, I am still full. If Mother is here, surely Mother will be sad because you do not want to eat the food made," said Ruby reminded Bilal of the figure of a woman who has the soul of an extraordinary Mother.
"If Mother's cooking I will finish it quickly. I miss Mommy, I want to eat her cooking. Mother ... where is Mother now? Does your mother not want to be with us anymore? Does Mother not love us anymore."
Bilal's tears broke unbearably. He buried his face on his knees while sobbing. His body shook violently while the cries of longing he shed.
Ruby put the plate on the table. He approached Bilal and hugged his younger brother.
"Patience, yes. Maybe true said Mother, Mother is getting the best treatment there. We just pray that Mother will heal quickly so that she can gather with us again. Or we'll just go with Mommy." Ruby was crying. His voice trembled with tears flowing down the river.
Bilal drops himself in Ruby's arms. Hugging her brother's body was still with a sobbing cry. Nafisah did not escape the sadness of his heart. He cried while rubbing his eyes.
"Mother! I'm going to sleep with Mommy. Hurry home, Bun!" the whining of Nafisah that cut Ruby's heart.
"Nof course!" Ruby's voice was stuck in the throat. He glanced at his youngest sister and grabbed the small body. Hugging both of them with a piteousness.
"You guys wait here, Big Brother will go home first to pick up a change of clothes," Ruby told the two after they were quite calm. He left his two siblings and went to his parents' house.
"Mas, how are the search results? Is there a bright spot about Nadia's whereabouts?" Yuni's voice asked successfully stopped Ruby's footsteps about to enter the house.
"No, yet" said the flagrant Ikram.
"Tomorrow we seek together, Bi," said Ain also chimed.
Ruby growls. What game are they playing. Repugn.
"Yes, Mas. Why don't you try and find out to Sarah's mom's house. Who knows if Nadia has been there all along. It's okay, we're being honest about what happened so that there will be no more misunderstandings between us" Yuni's heartfelt suggestion said.
I heard a breath coming from Ikram. Long time he was silent maybe he was weighing.
"Alright, then tomorrow I'll go to Sarah's house. Hopefully Nadia is there," broke up in the end.
"What drama are you playing? Is the drama of a criminal who pretends not to know anything? Or do you want to laugh at him who's gone?" Ruby's voice jolted the three people who were cool eating their lunch.
"Ruby, Son!" Ain sparkled to see his eldest daughter coming home. He ran over with a happy smile on his face.
"Don't touch me!" reject Ruby when Ain's hand is about to reach her.
"Why?" Ain was inexhaustible with Ruby's attitude.
The teenager glanced at the cynical Ain without wanting to reply. Ikram and Yuni looked at Ruby in confusion.
"Do you really not know what happened to Grandma and Mother? Or you're just pretending you don't know about it" said Ruby, who held back her tears from spilling.
"What do you mean, Ruby? What happened to them? Abi's going to Grandma's house tomorrow, do you want to come? We pick up your Mother together" said Ikram hoping to improve his relationship with the eldest daughter.
"Who would Abi like to meet? Grandma? Grandma is dead."
"Don't play around with death, Ruby!"
