Sharing Love: The Suffering of the Second Wife

Sharing Love: The Suffering of the Second Wife
Years Have Passed

Years have passed, Nadia still routinely do blood washing alone to connect her life. Ain increasingly restrained himself and accepted his destiny. Ikram can do justice even though still with the same rules because Nadia still chose to hold her speech even though Ain had forgotten. At least that's what he said.

In the end, the two wives of Ikram can accept each other. Ain was no longer troublesome Nadia in taking care of the children because Nadia was preoccupied with all the children in the foundation.

One that made Nadia sad, after five years of marriage she could not get pregnant. However, Ikram never asked. With Nadia and Ain living together, he was already calm.

"Mas, I'm sorry because until now I have not been able to love you descendants," Nadia said one night.

Ikram who was focusing on reading the book on the sofa, turned to Nadia who was sitting on the floor with her face down.

"Why do you always talk about this? I don't want to talk about this, Nadia. You do not feel burdened with it," said Ikram while taking Nadia's hand lying next to her seat.

"Stay, my mother, as a woman I also want to feel pregnant and give birth. I feel I am not a perfect woman" continued Nadia who was accompanied by sobs.

Ikram placed the book beside him, he rubbed Nadia's head and took her to sit side by side. Enclosed Nadia's body so that she leaned on his shoulder.

"Don't feel that way, it's only five years old that our marriage still has hope for the future. Never give up the grace of God, Nadia. It's a test for us" said Ikram rubbing Nadia's back gently.

The woman was still sobbing in the arms of Ikram. For her current condition, she is still unable to get pregnant. However, waiting for someone to donate his kidneys is like a hump that misses the moon. Far unachievable.

"Here, don't cry anymore" said Ikram again.

Nadia frowned as the pain suddenly hit her stomach. He held back from grimacing near Ikram. Nadia raised her head, her face pale eloquently for a moment.

"Mas, I'll go to the room first. Want to rest," he said as he left in a hurry and went into the room. Nadia looked for her medicine in the drawer and directly downed it. Unable to withstand the weight of his body, Nadia was rolled on the bed.

After a while, Ikram followed him to the room. Seeing Nadia's peaceful face while sleeping, he smiled. Ikram went into the bathroom washing his face before going up to the same bed with Nadia.

He frowned as his eyes unintentionally stared at a medicine bottle in Nadia's hand. Just this time Ikram saw Nadia taking drugs. He took it, and looked at the contents.

"What medicine is this?" murmured Ikram after looking at the medicine in his hand, "i'll ask him tomorrow," he continued while keeping the medicine on the nightstand.

Ikram who was lying next to Nadia, noticed the face of his second wife. His struggle to live in harmony with Ain was not easy. He was willing to follow Ain in order to be accepted well.

When Ain asked her to leave the children, Nadia happily did so. Ikram touched Nadia's cheek, stroking her gently.

"Mas feels lucky to be married to you. Because you Mas so know what it feels like to take away the sanctity of a girl," murmured Ikram while commenting on the smile on the lips. However, Nadia remained asleep not listening.

"I'm sorry, Nadia. You have to suffer all this time because of Mas" he continued, shedding tears of guilt in his heart.

Ikram flips the body facing the ceiling of the room that is nuanced white. The flash of events looming in the eye pelupuk makes the tears of Ikram more rapidly fall. He turned his back on Nadia, not wanting his second wife to see him cry.

I don't know what Ikram is regretting, only he knows. Ikram wiped his tears, turned back to face Nadia who was still asleep. Ikram hugged the woman's body, and kissed her forehead.

"You're getting thinner, Nadia. Are you always thinking about children? I told you, don't think!" said Ikram while burying Nadia's face on his chest. However, the woman seemed to be unable to feel anything. Keep sleeping without being disturbed at all.

The morning came to pick up with the sun that sprinkled a warm feeling on the earth. Nadia said goodbye to Ikram as usual. He felt he had to go to the doctor after last night the pain came back.

"Wait, Nadia!" prevent Ikram after Nadia shaking hands with him. Nadia who was already in the doorway immediately turned her head with twitching eyebrows.

"What's up, Mom?" she came closer to her husband. Ikram reached into the pocket of his pants and took out a medicine bottle from there.

Nadia was silent considering the events last night.

"I-that's my vitamin, Mas. Yes ... only supplements, really. Not medicine" Nadia nervously said. His lips were smiling, but agitated.

"Really?"

"Yes, Mas. I-it ... vitamins to nourish the uterus, Mas," said Nadia again. Lying again.

Ikram sighed, he approached Nadia and hugged her. "Don't think too deeply!" said. Nadia nodded, they separated because Ikram had to teach today.

When Ikram returned to his house, he smiled when he saw Ain dropping off the school children. Not with Ruby, he settled in the cottage because of his age entering the Upper Middle class. They came to Ikram as soon as they saw his figure.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Mi!" sapa Ikram came to Ain who was still standing on the porch of the house.

"Wa'alaikumussalaam, Abi," greeted Ain with a sincere heart.

Ikram kissed Ain's forehead while inviting him into the house. This kind of life is what he wants, his two wives can accept each other and not pressure each other.

"Umi's going to the store, Bi. Lately the store began to be quiet," said Ain asked for permission Ikram.

"Yes, Abi has to teach. Umi can go alone, right?" speak softly. The two landed their bodies in the middle room chair. Ain went to the kitchen to make me a cup of coffee.

"It's okay, Bi. Umi can go with Nadia alone. Has he left?" said Ain asked.

"He's still at home, he said his online taxi would be late" Ikram said.

"Yes, Umi wants to get ready first." Ain moved into the room changing the robe and the veil also took the bag.

Ikram did the same thing, changed his clothes and picked up a book. Get out of the house together with their own goals.

Nadia was already waiting for Ain while chatting with Mang Sarif. As usual, the second wife of Ikram always wore a mask and sunglasses when going on a trip.

"We go first, Bi," said Ain as he greeted Ikram.

"Go first, Mommy." Nadia also said goodbye after Ain. The online taxi has arrived. Nadia and Ain entered together and sat side by side.

"Where was it!" ask the driver to both of them.

"To the market first, yes. Between my sisters," said Nadia as she raised her glasses overhead.

The car took them to the market before turning and turning towards the Hospital. Ain always felt jealous when he was close to Nadia, because his honeymoon sister was always smelling fragrant even though he said he never wore perfume.

While Nadia, just act ordinary. He often invited Ain to talk about anything.

"How's the big sister's clothing store?" nadia asked as she looked at Ain.

He let out a long sigh before replying, "Still empty of buyers, maybe because it's not the time, yes. Usually, when the eid will be a lot of buyers who come," Ain replied without turning his gaze from the street in front.

"Yes, the factory also usually produces a lot of clothes when leading up to Lebaran," Nadia said. The two chatted away the saturation and awkwardness that would come whenever they were close together. Ain left when the car arrived at the market, and Nadia asked the driver to turn towards the Hospital.
