"Brother Ikram and sister Ain, you can be free today. The prosecutor's sister dropped her charges and forgave both of you, " said the police officer as he unlocked the bars that locked them both away.
Ain and Ikram both move. It's good not to play. Really they did not expect that it would be this fast out of bui.
"Mother is not wrong? We're free today?" Ain's eyes sparkled with pleasure even though he couldn't believe it.
"You're so lucky, Miss Nadia dropped her charges and released you. Supposedly for such a grave mistake as you do it is punishable by death alone or sentenced to life," the warden glanced at the couple cynically.
"I don't understand, whether you're lucky or Miss Nadia who's too kind to easily forgive criminals like you." The other warden shook his head while clucking. Ikram and Ain bowed. They are indeed free from bui, but the moral law will still be received from all circles.
"Sir, allow us to meet him? Can it?" Ikram begged the Warden who was waiting for them.
"I'm sorry, Miss Nadia didn't come here. He just sent his lawyer to take care of everything." Ikram disappointed, the sneering smiles of the two guards were clearly formed.
"You'd better be aware, repent! Please forgive and regret everything. This is your chance to improve, maybe the last one" the warden said, completely offending both of their pride.
"You're, you're, a figure in society. It should be a good example for all your worshippers. Not even doing something as low as this. You have no religion and no God." Again, the insinuation was received by Ikram and Ain with sarcasm. They literally pounded the deepest troughs of their hearts.
"Thank you for the advice, sir. Is there anything we need to take care of before we go home?" Ikram helpless, the law in society is very heavy. More severe than the punishment. Feels direct and elongated.
"Please follow me!" They both followed one of the warden to take care of their freedom.
"Sir, what about me? Am I not released?" The voice of protest from Yuni echoed inside his cell. He stood full of emotion while holding the iron bars that locked him up.
"Your inaugural hearing will be held next week. No one guarantees your freedom. Enjoy your punishment here!" replied the Warden made Yuni knead.
"That's the punishment you deserve!" cibir Ain as he crossed the bars where Yuni was locked up. The woman raised her gaze, staring nyalang at Ain who was smiling mockingly.
"You see, Ain. I'm not pulling you back into this prison! I swear!" Yuni snarling. His jaw hardened holding back the resentment towards Ain who was not responsible for his actions.
"What can a prisoner like you do? I'm not afraid of your threats, Yuni." Ain was no less fierce. He challenges Yuni to fulfill his vow, and the challenge .. accepted!
Ikram and Ain went breezing out the rutan, after a long stay in the bui finally they could breathe fresh air too.
"We'll just go home, Bi? What about the kids, huh? Umi miss them." Ain turned sad, remembering his three children who went with Nadia.
"Yes .. lucky they went with Nadia, otherwise ...." Ikram sighed, imagining his three children should see them handcuffed and thrown into prison. What will it be like?
"Well, Abi's right. Maybe Umi won't dare to face our three children anymore, Bi." Ain sighed. Feeling grateful that the three children did not see the police taking them as criminals.
No invitation, no welcome, just a sense of loneliness that accompanied their journey from rutan to home.
"Ekehm .. thirsty, Bi," complained Ain as he rubbed his dry front neck. Not that Ikram was not thirsty, he was also holding back the thirst that wrapped around his throat.
"We go to the great mosque first, Mi. Prayers can drink water when the wudlu later," said Ikram lethargic. Ain nodded. Their feet continued to step towards the great mosque not far from the rutan where they languished for several days.
Ah ... The fresh taste of the water flowed in the throats of the two as they gulped it down several times. Their pale faces gradually improved. Just water, it's okay. They should be grateful too.
Ikram and Ain perform Dzuhur prayer service and just rest tired before continuing the step towards home.
"Abi has no money at all, Mi. Hopefully at home there is food," Ikram desperately stared at the passing of humans who came and went to the mosque.
Ain sighed resignedly, he also had no money at all. Just as hopeful as Ikram hopefully when at home there are food ingredients that can be cooked. He looked down, hiding his tears that suddenly fell.
Ain wiped away the water, sadly immeasurably. This is the real reward for the evil he has done. Hunger because he once ate the rights of orphans in the foundation. Desperation because he has made life difficult for others.
The curls grabbed Ain's body as he caught the shakes of grief from his wife's sobs. Hopefully this time they will be really sorry and realize all their mistakes.
After Ashar the two resumed their steps, the sun was no longer hot. However, the cloudy cloud that was paddling prepared to lower the water whenever he wanted.
"It looks like it's going to rain, Bi," Ain said as he stared at the black clouds in the sky. Ikram looked up.
"We must hurry, Mi so as not to rain on the road" he said. He took Ain's hand, accelerating his feet in fear that rain would fall, while the distance of the house was still far.
Spots of water from the sky began to fall, Ikram carrying Ain ran faster and faster.
"Bi, Umi's tired. Let's just find a saung (powder), Bi. Umi's legs also hurt," complained Ain while bending his tired body. His breathing was wheezing, causing a feeling of tightness in the chest.
"That's no saung, Mi. Come on, let's go, the rain's already raining!" Ikram again brought Ain running after his wife straightened up. They sat in the saung in question, sheltering from the torrential rain.
Ain clenched his own body shivering with coldness. The sound of teeth was very clear. Ikram sat beside him, hugging Ain's shivering body and holding him tightly.
"Cold, Bi." Ain dropped his head on Ikram's shoulder. Not enough, she buried her face in her husband's chest.
"Why is it raining so long, Bi? Umi could not stand it," complained Ain again the more intense the shock on his body.
"Patience, yes .. hopefully it will be over soon." Hope is only hope, the rain does not stop until the night changes.
