Second Time

Second Time
MEMORIES THAT START TO RETURN

"You bought flowers?" Grace asked.

"Yes." Yeah."

"For whom?"

"For mom, Grace would you like to meet my mom?"

"You." Grace nodded with a smile.

"All right, let's go."

"Wait a minute, what should I bring your mother? Something your mother likes for example."

"No need, this is enough." Dafa pointed to the flower arrangement.

"flows only? Does your mother like flowers?"

"Yes, let's go." Dafa smiled and took Grace's hand to walk parallel to her side.

Dafa drove his car out of the mall where they were walking today. It was late in the afternoon and the clouds looked a little cloudy, it seemed like it was going to rain. Dafa sped up his car so they could get to the cemetery before it rained.

"Why are we here?" Grace asked in surprise because Dafa parked her car at the funeral.

"Let's get down." Dafa opens the door for Grace.

Grace did not understand but she did what Dafa did. Dafa continued to hold Grace's hand as they walked, as if he did not want to take the girl's hand off. Dafa stopped in front of a tomb and placed a flower there.

"Grace, this is my mother." Dafa smiled but Grace saw sadness in her eyes.

"Yes." Yeah." Grace stared at the tomb, she could not say anything. Grace could only hold tightly to Dafa's hand.

"Mother, this is my beloved Grace, she's beautiful isn't she? Maybe some time in the future I'll marry her soon." Dafa smiled.

Grace silently watched as Dafa continued to praise her in front of her mother's grave. Dafa continued to try to smile until he finally could not hold back his feelings. The man was shedding tears that had been in his stool so as not to drip. His shoulders seemed to shake as he tried to hold tightness in his chest.

Grace just gently rubbed Dafa's shoulders, that's all she could do right now to calm Dafa down a bit. Grace did not expect that the man could shed tears, all this time she had never shown her sorrow even once. Grace understands that Dafa's life is not as perfect as it seems with her eyes, and she harbors sadness in her.

"Grace day starts drizzling, let's go home." Dafa looks better.

"All right."

As they left the funeral, Grace still saw sadness in Dafa's eyes. On the way home, they did not talk much. Grace understood that Dafa was still carried away by her feelings of sadness, so she did not want to talk too much. The rain fell heavily making the sad atmosphere even more piercing into the heart.

"Grace, it's raining so hard, we go home first, okay?" Dafa finally opened his mouth.

"Yes." Yeah." Grace nodded.

The Dafa house was not far from the funeral, it was not until ten minutes that they had arrived at the Dafa house. Dafa stopped the car and they got out of the car. Dafa opened the door and took Grace to enter the house.

"Dafa wait." Grace held her forehead in pain.

"Grace, what's wrong with you?" Dafa immediately panicked.

"I think I remember this place, your door." Dafa pointed towards the door.

"Yes, yeah, let's go in first." Dafa embraces Grace's shoulder and takes her in and sits on the living room couch.

"Is your head dizzy?"

"Little." Grace nodded.

"Let's come with me." Dafa takes Grace back to his room.

Dafa breaks Grace down on the bed, she gently strokes Grace's head. Dafa's face seemed very worried about Grace's condition, she was afraid something might happen to Grace. Dafa clasped tightly onto Grace's warm hand.

"Dafa." Grace got up and sat back down.

"Yes, Grace. Are you feeling better?"

"M." mm." Grace nodded.

"I'll call the doctor."

"No need for Daf, I'm fine." Grace smiled.

"You sure?"

"Yes." Yeah." Grace nodded.

"I'm so worried about you." Dafa tightly gripped Grace's fingers. Grace smiled and returned Dafa's hand.

"Well, a little bit of my memory came back, my memory went to your door, I remember running in the rain in front of your house and hanging something on your doorknob. I'm pretty sure it's your door." Grace smiled weakly.

"Grace don't think about it too much first, I'm afraid your head is going to hurt."

"I'm fine."

"You sure?"

"Yes, so what do you think? Was my memory wrong? Why does it feel so real?"

"You're not mistaken Grace." Dafa looked at Grace's face.

"you mean? What the hell's going on? Do you really know about me?" Grace looks very curious.

"Yes." Yeah." Dafa nodded.

"Don't joke around with Daf." Grace laughs.

"Do I look like I'm joking with Grace?"

"Mmm, no." Grace saw the look on Dafa's face

look serious.

"Grace believe me, I was part of your life journey in the past." Dafa tightened his hand.

"Daf, how can it be?" Grace was very confused.

"Grace I can't explain it yet because your memory hasn't returned completely, I'm afraid you'll think I'm making it up."

"Explain a little Daf, I believe you." Grace stared softly at the two balls of Dafa's eyes."

"So, is this really?"

"Yes." Yeah." Dafa nodded.

"Why haven't you told me this whole time?"

"Grace, if I say it before you remember something, will you believe it?"

"At least you should be honest with me."

"Grace, do I have to be honest with you even when you don't remember the slightest bit about me?"

"But you made me fight alone, Daf."

"Grace, I didn't let you fight alone this whole time."

"You're not being honest."

"Grace, do you remember the first time I took you for a walk? You remember that? I took you for a ride that day."

"Yes, why?"

"That's where we spend a lot of time together."

"really?"

"Yes, I wish you could remember a little bit about me, but back then you didn't remember me at all."

Grace was silent, she was speechless. However, Dafa had tried from the beginning to remind him of their memories. Grace could not blame Dafa for what happened. The man was just waiting for the right time to be able to say everything.

"Grace, believe me I didn't mean to hide everything from you."

"Yes." Yeah." Grace nodded.

"Grace, I'm sorry for everything that happened."

"Daf, you don't have to apologize, you're not wrong." Grace clasped Dafa's hand, feeling guilty that she was already upset with Dafa.

"Grace, get some rest." Dafa looked gently at Grace.

"No, I need you to tell me why I came to your house in the rain, and what I put on the doorknob?"

"Grace I'm sorry, I don't know why those memories were the first ones back in your head."

"Why indeed?"

"It was a sad day between us."

"What do you mean?" Grace looks confused.

"It was my fault."

"Your fault?"

"Yes, that was also the last day we met." The look on Dafa's face turned grim.

"Why?"

"After that day you left me."

"really? I'm leaving you?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Hey, I thought the day was a romantic incident between us, it was a sad thing." Grace chuckles.

"You know, if you remember everything that's happened maybe you'll have a hard time forgiving me." Dafa.

"Why?"

"I made a mistake with you, Grace."

"What's that?"

"I'm ignoring you."

"really? You're ignoring a girl as pretty as me?" Grace is still chuckling.

"Grace you don't want to be mad at me right now?"

"I don't remember everything, maybe I'll get angry if it turns out your mistake is very heavy." Grace gave a small laugh.

"Grace, don't joke, I'm serious."

"Daf, whatever has happened in the past between us, I will try to accept it."

"Really?"

"Yes." Yeah." Grace nodded and smiled.

"If you remember everything I'm sure you'll be mad at me."

"Yes, I'll be angry in time." Grace smiled.

"I'm sorry." Dafa continued to apologize.

"Yes, I'll forgive you for a while." Grace chuckles.

"Thank you." Dafa smiled.

"What about our relationship?" Grace asked.

"You want to know?" Dafa smiled.

"Yes." Yeah." Grace nodded."

"You're my lover."
