I was getting ready in my room, looking at myself with a natural makeup polish and wearing a simple dress that was comfortable to wear. I went down the stairs slowly, in the living room waiting for Dad, Mom, Darren and Kai. They all turned to me when I got there.
“Hey, why is everyone staring at me?”
“Mr princess has gone down apparently.” Dad chuckles.
“Yes, you look beautiful once.” Mother's words made me blush.
“Is this revenge against your ex-lover? You look so pretty.” Darren smiled at me.
“What is this overreacting?” I held both of my cheeks.
“No, you just look really pretty.” My father also praised me.
“Sister-in-law, is my make up too thick?” I looked at Kai who had just smiled.
“No, Jane. You're really very pretty.” Kai smiled gently.
“Hey, why does everyone praise me? Do you guys want to cheer me up because today is my ex-boyfriend's wedding?” I pursed my lips
“No Jane, we earnestly.” Darren suddenly grabbed my shoulder.
“Hey, you're suspicious Darren.”
“My sister is very beautiful isn't Kai?” Darren looked at Kai.
“Ya, very.” Kai nodded.
“Alright, let's go.” Dad asked us all to leave immediately.
Less than twenty minutes we got to our destination, we all got out of the car, we were required to show the guards an invitation. We entered the building where Liam's wedding was, the impression of luxury is very visible in this room. Floral decorations stood gracefully in every corner of this place. Light lamps that have been adjusted to the room add a romantic impression in the room.
I felt nothing today, no sadness or any other feeling when I entered this place. I also did not feel the feeling of anger or hate as when I first learned of Liam's engagement at that time. I've proven that I really don't have any feelings for Liam anymore.
My family and I are welcome to sit in one of the seats for the vip guests according to the invitation card we showed. My father was one of the most influential people in the business world, he was also one of the big shareholders in the Liam family company. It is only natural that our family get a vip invitation from the Liam family.
“Jane, are you okay?” Dad said to me, Mom, Darren and Kai were also looking at me.
“Hey, don't look at me like that, I'm fine.”
“You sure?” Dad rubbed my shoulders gently.
“Yes dad, you don't have to worry.” I assured dad, he finally nodded.
I know my father was also very worried about my feelings, from the beginning he knew my relationship with Liam. Father is unemployed even though I didn't allow him to meet with Liam, I still don't want Liam to know my status as an Austin family, I want to see his sincerity first. I plan to tell you everything when I'm sure that Liam actually accepts me for who I am.
Dad likes Liam because he's a guy who seems to love me a lot. But after knowing Liam left me just because of the glare of the treasure, father drew all his admiration to the man. Dad was obviously mad at her, but I forbade him from doing anything to her. I convinced Dad that I could solve my own problems.
Finally the long-awaited ones had arrived, the two brides walked past the guests towards the altar. I saw Margaret's sincere smile, the girl looked very pretty in a beautiful wedding dress wrapped around her body. In contrast to Liam, he smiled yet looked forced. Liam's eyes seemed unsettled, as if he was looking for something.
I smiled at them, I even dreamed of walking there with Ken's secretary later. Hey brains! stop thinking no-no, why would I imagine Ken's secretary at a time like this. I smiled to myself because of my silly thoughts about Ken's secretary, I'm sorry to have imagined you, handsome secretary Ken.
Liam suddenly looked at me, my eyes meeting his eyes. For a few seconds he did not turn and continued to look at me, I could not interpret the meaning of his gaze. It was just that I felt something different, like a feeling of ambition gushing from his eyes.
The two brides finally tied the sacred promise of marriage, they alternately linked the ring to their partner's finger. Margaret smiled very happily at that moment. Unlike Liam who looks restless, he seems to not focus on his own wedding. Guests one by one began to approach them, congratulate and take pictures along with a happy look.
The event went smoothly until the event was temporarily halted so that the bride and groom could rest. Margaret was led by the bridesmaid to the break room while Liam had gone from there somewhere I didn't pay much attention. My father and mother were busy talking to Darren and Kai, they were talking about Kai's marriage to Darren which would be held in a few months.
I heard my phone ring, I saw the name on it, secretary Ken, I smiled at him. I asked my family for permission to get out of the room because it was not possible to receive a call in this room, too noisy. I walked out of the building into the garden beside the building, I sat on one of the chairs there.
“Halo.”
“Jane?”
“What are you doing?”
“I was at Liam's wedding.”
“Why sounds quiet?”
“I was outside the building.”
“Why?”
“Inside very noisy.” I smiled
“Jane!" I was shocked to hear Liam calling me.
Liam was suddenly in front of me. Liam pulled my hand until I accidentally dropped my phone. Liam hugged me tightly, I tried to let go but Liam didn't seem to want to let me go.
“Liam release me.” I pushed her body hard until her embrace finally came off.
“Jane, I miss you so much.” Liam's hoarse voice rang out in my ears.
“Enough Liam! do you want to ruin your own wedding with that attitude of yours?” My annoyance immediately appeared but I tried to behave calmly.
“I no longer care about this wedding Jane, right now I just want to be with you.” Liam approached me, I took a step back from him.
“Liam, listen to me, everything has ended between us, try to accept it.”
“No, I don't want.” Liam grabbed both my hands and held them.
“Liam..”.
“I beg Jane, I no longer care about this marriage, I no longer care about possessions or anything. I realize I only need you, please come back to me, let's start everything back.” Liam shed his tears, he knelt down while continuing to hold my hand, I currently see sincerity in his eyes.
“Liam, rise.” I felt sad to see her like this, I pulled her hand back to her feet.
“I beg you, I really love you so much.” Liam looked at my face.
“Liam, relax.” I wiped her tears with my hands.
“Jane, please come back to me.”
I was speechless, unable to say anything, I actually saw sincerity in the eyes of this man. But I felt nothing more, in my heart there was only a little bit of pity for him. Liam seemed to no longer care about his pride, he kept begging me.
“Jane?” Liam made me aware.
“Liam, please stop. Margaret has been waiting for you there, return to her.” I said calmly, hoping Liam could understand.
“I don't want to, Jane.”
“Liam, I don't have any feelings for you anymore.” I finally said it.
“We will start from the beginning, I will make you love me again.” Looks like Liam doesn't want to give up, I'm out of words to answer him.
“Jane?” A familiar voice called out to me, as Liam and I turned to the source of the voice.
