Celine's Story

"When he was accepted at university, Celine was involved in adjusting and dividing her time. Understandably, Celine had never attended formal education. Coupled with the character of Celine who is like this, honestly, it becomes a difficulty for Celine.

At the beginning, it was hard to find the right rhythm. Adjustment to the campus environment, the duties of lecturers, also caring for papa. Only about a month later, Celine slowly got used to it.

But as if life had not been content playing out, came bad news from papa confidants in the company. Om Andre, who has enjoyed power for more than 6 months as a substitute leader of papa, wants to get rid of papa and become the legitimate owner of the company. He began to influence shareholders to doubt papa's leadership given papa's current condition.

Papa, who heard that his younger brother had intended to betray him, was shocked until his blood pressure increased dramatically. Fortunately, Papa was immediately rushed to RS and given drugs to reduce tension through infusion to avoid the occurrence of a second stroke. Because of this incident, papa until have to undergo hospitalization for 3 days.

After his condition and blood pressure stabilized, Papa was allowed to go home. The doctor told me to be careful. Try to avoid situations that can make her feel shaken or stressed.

In fact, even after arriving home, papa was still thinking about his brother's betrayal. Actually, papa has no problem bequeathing the company to Om Andre, if Om asks him carefully. But if the way is like this, papa feels stabbed from behind.

In addition to the feeling of disappointment due to betrayal, in the heart of papa also arise frustration with the behavior of Om. Papa was not willing to give up the company. "Celine emboldened herself and told papa to .. for ... consider Celine as the heir, " continued Celine with a voice that increasingly squeaking.

"A-what, Lin? Try repeating the sentence. Y-what did you propose to your papa?" ask Mama Ratna to make sure.

"Celine asked papa to consider Celine as his heir!" Celine repeated her sentence in a louder voice. His head was bowed and his face was completely red.

Things become quiet. James and Mama Ratna still do not believe Celine who has a background of shy characters, dare to propose that to her father who has always held a tight patriarchal culture. Especially if you remember, this patriarchal culture is the root of the problem so that Celine is treated unfairly by her own father.

"First papa was quiet. I don't know what papa's thinking. But Celine was also shocked after a while and finally papa asked 'You sure you want to be the heir?'. There Celine dared to see Papa again. Keep Celine answered, sure, as long as you agree and you want to teach," replied Celine.

"How come?" mama Ratna asked the curious.

"Keep papa just said 'All right. Let's try.' After that, Celine was told to go back to the room and take care of Celine's own business. Papa needs time to think for himself, he said.

After a week later, papa called Celine again to discuss the issue of being the heir. Papa asks, can Celine go to college while working?

Apparently papa has contacted the shareholders and said that papa has been and is preparing an heir. Papa assured them that despite his condition, he still has a very trustworthy brain to lead the company and prepare a reliable heir.

Finally, based on the decision of the temporary general meeting of shareholders, they agreed to consider Celine as the heir. The condition is, Celine must start working in the company in order to be assessed for performance for 2 years.

Therefore, papa asked Celine to contact the faculty to arrange Celine's lecture. Celine also asked the faculty about the policies that can be obtained in situations like this. Praise God, the faculty has an online college program.

But, because at the beginning Celine enrolled as a regular student, it took a gradual shift to change the course from regular to online college. This is because there are differences in the schedule of the lecturer. Therefore, for some lecturers, Celine was asked to face them to ask for a policy in person.

Thankfully, they could understand Celine's condition. Celine will be given materials and lectures via email. But they also asked for Celine's ability to return to campus about 2-3 months to assess its development.

Papa's physiotherapy will also continue in Indonesia, although the equipment is not as sophisticated as abroad. But for papa it doesn't matter. Papa prioritizes the security of his company. After all the preparations were done, we returned to Indonesia.

In the company, as Celine was introduced as a potential heir, Celine was placed directly as director, parallel to Om Andre. Celine's working room was temporarily merged with Papa's room, the President Director.

Of course this has been rejected by various parties, especially from the Om Andre side. Moreover, Om Andre already knows the character of Celine from childhood. But since this was already the decision of the President Director and the General Meeting of Shareholders, they could not do anything.

Thanks to his help, Celine's job of caring for papa became lighter.

Of course this makes Om Andre upset and restless. This is seen from the attitude and policies of Om Andre who are increasingly opposite to papa.
