Surprising and Surprised

It does not feel like three months James has been working at RSUD. It has gone through a good period of orientation. The contract was extended to a year.

James is happy. He feels incredible relief. Thus, he was considered officially joined as an employee at RSUD.

The first person he thought of sharing this good news besides his parents was, of course, Celine. The girl has been patient long enough to monitor the career development she wants to achieve with her own efforts. Celine understandingly accepts the suspension of her engagement and the promise of her visit in order to keep her ego.

Now it's time he wanted to please the girl. He wanted to surprise her. He's coming to Celine on Friday. The plan, after work, he would go home, change his clothes and bag, then go to the airport. The plan he had talked to his parents who of course directly support James.

For the sake of the surprise success, James deliberately behaved as usual in the talks the night before they went to bed. The topics they talked about were still as usual, about everyday life and stories at work.

To be honest, James did feel lately their relationship was too flat. Their conversation just revolves around that. You could even say more James told the story than Celine.

Celine tends to be a good listener. If behind to be asked to tell a story, Celine only replied that her daily life was nothing special and still as usual, which of course turned off the conversation.

That's why James really hopes the surprise this time can provide explosions that can excite their love. For this reason, James is very careful in maintaining attitudes, expressions, and words so that his secret is not discovered.

On Thursday night, they still had time to discuss the plan of activities that they wanted to do if Celine came to this city on Saturday and Sunday, without Celine knowing it was just a cover made James. Patience, dear .... Tomorrow afternoon Bang James is by your side.

The next day when the time has shown at 15:00 exactly, James rushed to leave RSUD. Arriving home, he immediately took a shower and immediately grabbed a backpack containing equipment for a 2-day stay that he had prepared beforehand. After saying goodbye to the Mother (noted: Papa Heru is still teaching on campus), James drove to the airport.

During the flight for about an hour and a half, James passed by imagining. His heart thumped at the thought of Celine's response if she saw him suddenly coming.

At 17:50, James was in front of the Adipratama family home. He immediately contacted Mbok Yani as a person from the Celine family who he thought could be most invited to work together.

Of course Mbok Yani who got the news James was already in front of the fence, with a rush directly out of the house and welcome James.

James could only put up his deathly grin hearing Mbok Yani's words. "Sorry, Mbok .... His name also wants to make a surprise .... So now Celine's there, Mbok?" ask James.

"Miss and Great Lord have not yet returned, Son .... There may still be business in the office, " replied Mbok Yani.

James did often hear the story of Celine who sometimes the clock home erratic. It's just that he still hopes Celine has gone home because it's almost 2 hours past from the time of his usual office.

"Yes already, Mbok. I try to go to his office. Adipratama Group Company, right?" James confirmed the name of Celine's office.

"Yes, Son. Ask someone who knows, " said Mbok Yani.

"Okay, Mbok. Thanks .... Excuse me first yeah ...."

Shortly after, James drove to where Celine worked by taxi. It was then that the sky began to look dark, as the sun slowly began to sink.

Not until 10 minutes, the taxi stops at a large modern-style high-rise with the AG emblem on it. The lights began to be lit, so that the building increasingly looks elegant and luxurious. With great admiration, James looked at the building with a futuristic feel. According to his estimation, this building consists of at least 40 levels.

"I'm sorry, tanya .... Is Miss Celine still in the office?" james asked a woman standing guard there.

"You who is yah? Do you have an appointment with him?" The woman asked back while looking at the appearance of James who was not wearing formal clothes at that time. James wore a checkered shirt with open buttons, lining a white shirt inside. The backpack he carried made him look like a bolang (noted: an adventurous boy), rather than an office worker.

"I'm his friend. I don't have an appointment with him yet, "James replied as is.

"Then try to contact him. Ms. Celine had already left this office about half an hour ago, "the receptionist said in an indifferent manner.

James stunned. Already left the office half an hour ago? It's only 10 minutes from Adipratama's residence, and Celine hasn't arrived home. So, if Celine doesn't come home, where's Celine going?

"Sorry, do you know where Miss Celine went? Because I'm from his house, but he's not there." James asked again.

The woman looked at James with an irritated look. "Which confessed his friend right, you! Please ask him yourself! A friend must have his contact number, right?! A lowly fellow like me, how dare to ask the purpose of a boss, sir!" tusky. It is clear that the receptionist does not actually believe that the young man in front of him is a friend of his boss.

Getting such treatment, James immediately realized his existence. He slowly backed away from the reception desk muttering, "Ah .... Sorry .... Thank you, Ma'am." I don't know if the Receptionist heard James' words or not. James doesn't care about that either.

While walking towards the courtyard of the building, James smiled wryly looking at his own appearance. Obviously he didn't think long to catch up with Celine until here. Confessing to Celine's friend alone, he's not trusted. What if he claims to be his girlfriend? Or his future fiancee?

James put away the feeling of inferiority that began to appear in his heart. Enough's enough! Don't think too far! Right now his mistake is just the wrong costume! He was in the wrong place with the wrong appearance! It was better to focus on the original goal, giving Celine a surprise. Where should he go now? Back to Adipratama's residence? Or is it better to contact Celine and cancel her surprise until here instead?

As James was deep in thought, someone called his name. "Sir James! Mr. James, right?"

James looked at the voice calling out to him. A strong man approached him. Once close enough, James recognized the familiar face. "Sir Joseph?" he asked in disbelief.

Joseph laughing. "Yes. How are you, sir? Long time no see. Must be looking for Miss Celine, huh?" he asked as he greeted James kindly.

James, still confused by his meeting with Joseph here, again asked, "Father now works here?"

"Yes. It's only been about 6 months. It was Mr. James' own brother who helped me so I could work here. Does Miss Celine have a story?" Joseph asked back.

James remained silent. Celine didn't tell him anything about Mr. Joseph. And since when were Celine and Mr. Joseph this close? Plus, it seems Mr. Joseph misunderstood his relationship with Celine. He is thought to be Celine's brother.

Joseph felt something was wrong with James' attitude. But he could not think about it further. He remembered that there was something urgent still waiting for him. However, he also did not feel good about leaving his former co-workers here alone without clarity.

"Sorry, Sir. I have to go. I still have something to do. Is Mr James here looking for Ms. Celine?" Joseph repeated the question.

"Yes. But Celine doesn't know I'm here. I had intended to surprise him, "answer James decided to suspend the questions that had been popping up in his brain.

Mr. Joseph laughed. "Oh .... All right then. I will help! Incidentally now I will pick him back from his matchmaking place. Mr. James just wait here quietly! Not long!" joseph said in passing. And he immediately left James who was still silent rigidly in his place.

While James, still trying to restore his consciousness that had lost an instant due to sentences like lightning that struck him. What did Mr Joseph say? Celine from ... place of matchmaking? Did he hear himself wrong ?
