Not Intentionally Cheating
Chapter 9 Introduction

“Excuse me Mom, has Keyla gone home from school?”

The voice of an adult man who is no stranger to the sense of hearing of Bu Anita makes his activities stop. He turned his head towards the source of the voice and smiled when he saw the figure of an excellent man and the attention to his son.

“Pak Devan, how are you?” sapa Bu Anita, the hostel mother in the dormitory occupied by Keyla and Calista.

“Good Mom. Is Keyla home yet?” devan asked Anita back.

“Already Sir. Keyla went straight to her room to meet a new friend who was rooming with her. His roommate had just arrived before Keyla came home from school. And Calista's mother just came out. Do I need to call Keyla Pak?” anita answered him kindly.

“Let me just call him Bu,” Devan said as he picked up his phone.

His eyes were fixed on a scarf in the guest chair not far from where he was. Then he took the scarf and looked around which there was no one at all except Anita's mom at that place.

“Sorry Mom, who's this?” devan asked Bu Anita while showing the scarf.

Bu Anita, who was busy cleaning the reception desk, turned to Devan and noticed the scarf Devan showed her.

Bu Anita thought for a moment to remember the person wearing the scarf. Then he remembered something.

“It looks like it belongs to his mother Calista. If it's not wrong he was wearing a scarf and sitting on the sofa wait before I get the files to fill.”

“Sure she's still around here Mom. Let me return it all I want to get acquainted with the parents of my son's roommate,” Devan said while holding the scarf.

“Thank you Sir. Oh yeah I'll send you Calista's mom's number. Who knows later you can use to ask his whereabouts,” said Anita bu while fiddling with his phone to send Nayla number to Devan.

“Good Mom, thank you,” Devan said with a smile on Anita's mom.

Afterwards, she quickly walks out of the dormitory in search of a woman who may be Calista's mother, Keyla's roommate.

His eyes went around looking for someone when he was outside the dorm. And his eyes were fixed on the figure of the woman sitting on the park bench not far from where she was standing at the moment.

He immediately grabbed the phone from his pocket and dialed the mobile number Anita gave him. His eyes did not escape Nayla. She kept watching Nayla from where she was.

“Halo, I am Papanya Keyla, roommate of Calista,” greet Devan on Nayla by phone while watching her.

Oh, Keyla's Papa. Sorry I didn't say hello first. I.., Nayla could not continue her speech because suddenly her tongue felt funny, could not speak because she heard the name Calista called by Devan.

Devan looked at Nayla who was wiping her tears. She sees the sadness of a mother when parting with her child. He immediately interrupted Nayla's words by giving her understanding so that she would not be sad anymore.

“I heard you are here, can we meet? I want to get acquainted with the parents of my son's roommate.”

Nayla looked at the circular clock on her left hand. Then he said,

Emm…. Sorry, I have to get to work quickly. Maybe next time we'll meet.

Nayla who had been standing from her seat, now she sat back down while looking down and sighing. Seen from where Devan stood, Nayla again wiped her tears. Then Devan said,

“It must be very difficult right? Sending your child to a hostel that is out of town and cannot meet you every day, must be very difficult.”

I can still handle it, it's just that I feel so guilty and sorry for him. He must have been very scared and anxious, but I worked as usual, Nayla said, sounding very guilty.

“You will feel guilty if your child is sick and you are not,” Devan said to interrupt Nayla's speech.

Nayla smiled faintly at Devan's words that seemed to know a lot about the feelings of a mother living far away with her child.

“Sorry if I no longer use formal language. It feels less familiar and impressed to talk to an older person,” Devan said while chuckling.

Nayla also chuckled at Devan's words. Then he said,

It's okay, it would be best if we are familiar like this in order to be able to tell each other information about them to each other.

“I'm not sure this will help you to be calmer or not, but my son prefers to stay in the dorm.he rarely calls and he does not want to go home, he does not want to go home,” said Devan who tried to calm Nayla's heart.

Nayla smiled after listening to Devan's words. After that he said,

Thank you, it was very helpful to calm me down.

Devan smiled with relief at Nayla's words. And he also felt relieved to see Nayla who no longer looked sad.

Ah sorry, it looks like I have to leave right now, Nayla looks back at the watch in her hand, then she immediately carries her bag and walks over to a taxi dropping off her passengers.

“All right, see you again. Hopefully we can meet another day,” Devan said as he walked to see Nayla who got into the taxi.

After Nayla disappeared from her sight, she brought the scarf back into the dormitory to leave it to Anita's mom. Unfortunately Anita's mom wasn't there, so Devan put the scarf in her bag.

Devan fiddled briefly with his phone and placed it in his ear. Then he said,

“Halo, Key Dear, Papa is in the waiting room. Does Papa's favorite son not want to see his Father who came far to see him?”

Wait for Keyla to go there Pa, Keyla said cheerfully.

After that he walked quickly while pulling Calista's hand to be reunited with his papa. Just like Anisa said to Nayla and Calista when she told her about Calista's roommate. Even Anisa's mom also told me about Devan who was Keyla's parents.

Indeed, Anisa's mother only knows Devan, because Keyla's mother never visited her son in the dorm. She never even contacted Anisa's mom to ask about her son.

Only Devan who always come to visit Keyla in the dormitory and always contact Anita to ask about the news and activities of his son there. Until at first, Anita thought that Devan became a single parent at a young age.
