Not Intentionally Cheating
Chapter 15 Seatap with mother-in-law

Suddenly the sound of car horns came from the front of their house.

Bayu immediately moved from his seat to look in front of his house. Nayla and Calista looked at each other.

"Who came so early in the morning?" nayla asked Calista who was looking at her.

Calista just put her shoulder to shoulder as a sign that she didn't know either. Then he said,

"We'll just look ahead to Ma."

Nayla agrees to Calista's proposal. The two of them walked after Bayu who had first come to his front house.

"Please move the items in my son's room, sir," Bayu told the driver.

Their eyes were both wide-eyed when they saw a pick-up car whose driver was talking to Bayu.

"Wait, why did Caca's stuff have to be transported Pa? He said Caca was just a school around here," Calista asked as she moved Bayu's hand.

"You and your Mama will stay at your Grandma's house, so you'll have to take your things there so you can stay there, too," bayu replied as she walked towards Calista's room followed by the driver and the person who helped her.

"Pa, we're just going to stay at Mom's house, why are we carrying things in this house? Anyway, if I don't come home late or on vacation, we can come back here" said Nayla, who also followed her husband on his way to Calista's room.

"This is what you want. And this has been my decision. You better stay there until Caca graduates from that school" Bayu said, pointing to the wardrobe that had to be transported by the pick-up driver.

Calista moved his papa's hand while saying,

"Caca lives at home with Mama Pa. Caca promise won't trouble you. Caca dared to stay alone at home. If Mama doesn't come home, then Caca's staying at Grandma's."

Bayu remained with his decision. He did not even feel sorry for his son's whining. He kept telling the men to move the items he appointed to his mother's house.

Nayla breathed. She could no longer change her husband's decision.

Just like Calista, she was also very hard pressed to live with her mother-in-law.

The two felt unsuitable if living side by side with the mother of Bayu.

After their goods are brought by the pick-up, Nayla and Calista just keep quiet in front of their food.

Bayu ate his breakfast casually. He did not waver even once with his decision even though his son and wife were looking at him pleadingly.

"Hurry to eat, after that we go to Grandma's house," said Bayu in between his chewing.

Calista and Nayla could only resign. They really can't change Bayu's decision.

After they finished breakfast, Bayu took them to his mother's house using his car.

"Come in, I have to leave right now" Bayu said after lowering his son and wife in front of his mother's house.

"You didn't stop by Pa?" asked Nayla while holding Calista's hand.

"I'm late. I'll stop by later, when I get home. Just say my regards to Mom," replied Bayu from inside his car.

After saying that, Bayu immediately drove his car.

Nayla just stared at her husband's car. Then she went inside her mother-in-law's house carrying her suitcase and joined hands with Calista.

Her mother-in-law was waiting for her at her doorstep.

Enter the two of them towards the room that had been prepared by Ms. Ratmi. In the room there are already Calista's belongings that have been moved from his room.

Calista arranged her books on her study table. Nayla also helps Calista to arrange some of the items she carries.

"Nayla, come out for a minute, I want to talk to you," said Ms. Ratmi in front of Calista's bedroom door, whose door had opened.

Nayla turned to Calista to say goodbye to him. And Calista nodded her head even though her mother had not said anything to her.

Nayla comes out of the room following her mother-in-law. Here he is now. In the living room, she sat opposite her mother-in-law.

"Nayla, what's your next plan?" bu Ratmi asked firmly and looked at Nayla with an intimidating look.

"I'm going to stop working, Mom. I will focus on taking care of Calista," Nayla replied as her hand squeezed the tip of her shirt.

"You're gonna stop working? Have you told your husband? Does he approve?" asked Ms. Ratmi with curiosity.

Nayla breathed heavily. She was sure that what she said would not be approved by her husband.

"No Ma'am. Mas Bayu was against it," said Nayla weakly as she lowered her head.

Ms. Ratmi smiled demeaningly at Nayla. Then he said,

"You're funny. You already know that your husband won't be able to agree, but you're still acting. The wood has prepared a bright future for your child, but you are willing to destroy it. Look, right now you are not only troublesome Bayu, you are also troublesome me," said Ms. Ratmi as she folded her hands in front of her chest.

"I'm sorry Mom. This is also for Calista's health. She was distressed and scared to stay there after her roommate died in an accident with her" Nayla said, venturing into her mother-in-law's eyes.

Ms. Ratmi looked at Nayla while sighing. Then he said,

"Wood a captain pilot. He was raised with great discipline by his father. Look, he managed to become what he is today. So, do not blame Bayu if educating his son with hard and discipline as his father once taught," said Bu Ratmi who was still staring at his daughter-in-law with a gaze that seemed to warn him.

Nayla chose silence. She did not dare to comment or deny her mother-in-law even though she did not agree with what she said.

Looking at her daughter-in-law who was just silent, Ms. Ratmi felt that everything she said was true. Then he said back,

"Oh, here's how. You keep working so as not to make Bayu angry. For Calista, let me take care of her. But you have to pay Mom as tired money. Just give fifty percent of your salary to Mom."

Nayla widened her eyes. She was very surprised to hear what her mother-in-law told her.

"Why? Do you mind?" asked Bu Ratmi with an intimidating look.

"Ti-no ma'am," Nayla replied nervously.

"If you mind, it's okay. If you have a better solution. After all, I think you have no better solution than the solution given by Mother," said Ms. Ratmi with great confidence.

Nayla breathed slowly. Then he said,

"All right, ma'am, I agree." .

Ms. Ratmi smiled happily at the answer her son-in-law gave her. Because that answer is what he wants. Then he said,

"good. Let's just say you give Mom a monthly ration of money to make you a good daughter-in-law."

Nayla smiled forcefully in response to her in-laws speech. After that she allowed her mother-in-law to return to Calista's room.

"It's not in vain if I risk my peaceful old age if I get a decent one" Ms Ratmi said with a smile.
